Personally, I think the merchandise is going to be low-key. I don't think we're going to get nearly as much as we did when GINO came out, for several reasons.
I dont see why it would be low-key. Maybe not as much but still a good amount. Godzilla is a huge cultural icon who is still popular just not having any movies in awhile hurts but once the new one comes out (which there is still buzz about) people will buy that stuff

Panels are separated by studios. WB and Legendary have their own panels, and I went to the Legendary panel last year. The head of Legendary apologized about the lack of Godzilla updates but promised to have news the next year (this year.)

Movies are still his main focus, though, and one of his next big projects is a new Godzilla. "We sat down and said, ‘What does Godzilla mean?' How do we tell a story that touches on that and takes it to a new level?" In the 1950s, as Japan recovered from atomic bombs, Godzilla represented something very real. And now? "Godzilla is an unbelievable primal fear. We always ask ourselves, If you turned on CNN and all of a sudden this huge creature emerges from the bay and it can breathe atomic fire, what would happen in the world? That got us very excited."
"It's going great and I'm genuinely excited about it. We're just working really hard with Legendary, who have been fantastic. Thomas Tull has just been an absolute pleasure and nothing like the experience they warn you about when you go to Hollywood. I can't say much other than I hope that we'll have some proper news soon. So you won't have to wait too long at all."
“Well, we are in the worst part of the whole film making process which is waiting. We spent almost a year working on the script and on different drafts, going back and forth trading emails with the production company and everything. I had this lucky chance of writing with Mark and so I feel like, it’s a strange feeling, because at the same time I feel like a lot has happened, but at the same time I’m so deep in the project…”
