Reminds me of this attitude I see from certain fans where they almost treat the older films as a curiosity best kept out of the public eye.
Kind of agree with this, which was my point. You and I, we see the 1964 suit. Joe Blow and Jane Wayne, casually shopping on a Tuesday morning sees a guy in a unattractive rubber suit with bad photoshop going GRRR ARRRR!! with his arms raised. This covers brings to mind every stereotype this genre of film has suffered for the last 40 years. Pick a photo from 1954; nearly every stock shot is somber, attractive yet conveys the character properly and doesn't look "fake" or like a cheap special effect. Or an actual poster, like the 1984 advance sheet, or hell, use the KOTM B poster for a nice promotion. Something that makes Godzilla look INTERESTING, not like a joke.

Have you seen any of the stock photos of 1954 recently? Nearly all of them with Godzilla front and center have the googly eyes, or that one tiny reference model shopped onto a backdrop.
The whole point of the Life magazine cover is to reference the silly b-movie marketing the 60's films got in America, and how what most people would consider outdated is getting a new Hollywood treatment.

I said NEARLY. I’m aware of the more cheestastic shots 1954 has. That second one actually, the full shot, is pretty badass. But no, I get what you’re saying, and if that’s what they were shooting for then good, it works. I just personally feel they could have picked a better shot to use.

Does anyone have a comparison shot of the 2014 Bandai Japan Godzilla vinyl with the new 2019 Ghidorah vinyl?

Yeah I don't think there's any chance for that. Surely we'd know of any future plans by now. Jakks has dished out all they're doing. Bandai Japan as well, and Bandai America is doing nothing. NECA won't even make goddamn Ghidorah so there's no fucking way they'll spend dough on brand new sculpts for monsters that are seen for a grand total of 15-30 seconds.

It's funny since, most Godzilla fans know the more obscure kaiju tend to sell much better. I wish NECA had a wave of the ones they missed.
Like Kong, Skull Crawlers, MUTOs, and whatever excess Kaiju are left post KOTM.

Guys, quoting a spoiler is just as bad as posting it yourself so don't continue or I will warn everyone.
