Yeah, NECA ain't doing any KSI stuff.

I guess the best bet would be an SHMA unless someone has the toy license in America.

I would imagine US toy makers would do Kong, they did a whole line when Kong 2005 came out, they weren't great but still. Hope Mezco does Kong again, loved their 2005 figure.

I'm sure Kong will get some toys, probably more than a few intended for collectors. He's a huge horror icon, companies probably want to make product for the movie.

As long as there's one that's 6" scale, I'm happy.

Would be cool but I don't think Kong is popular enough.

So, still no news for a toyline?? :( both Skull Island and The Great Wall may have nothing.

Not sure anyone will jump on it, Jurassic World toys sold poorly and that's the last "kid" toyline I can think of with monsters. Promblem is, most kids won't see the movie so why wNt the toys, but the toys are so kid friendly adults want no part with them. Based on their DC relationship, I would think Mattel if anyone. Not sure skullcrawlers are an appealing design to casual buyers so you just have Kong. I'm sure we'll get collector level products but I imagine there's an embargo like Godzilla and most are probably waiting for Toy Fair. With Kong's creature designs right in the trailer, it's not like Godzilla where we got all sorts of leaks trying to be the one to reveal his look.

Hard to say. Both films do have some licensing agreements for products. I believe it was posted in another topic here in the Legendary forum.

Added in 8 minutes 52 seconds:
Here it is from the main Skull Island thread.

^ Might be Legendary securing the trademarks just in case, but I want to believe like crazy. There's no reason I can think of for them to trademark a proper name like Umarak for something that won't be used in any way.

If Disney owned the rights, we would've had one a long time ago.

Something is better than nothing and it looks like we're getting a better selection of characters/creatures than in the G14' movie. Hopefully somebody makes a more normal size Kong though this one should look cool with the Jakks Godzilla.

YES! Thank you! Im getting that Kong. Those seemed to be aimed at little kids which is good so they can become fans like us!

Ugh but the Kong has no leg articulation. I'll wait for the reviews for these before deciding to buy.

They're not the greatest quality but they are made by the company that makes the corps line of figures that walmart carries so they're likely to be very cheap. I'm mostly interested in the spider at the moment as that looks like it could fit in nicely with 6-9" figures.

Ah, I guess at least the movie is receiving a toy line, unlike The Great Wall.

It's an 18" figure, my guess is they're opting for solid legs to jeep him upright.

I'm going to get it, but I'm bummed there's nothing smaller of Kong himself, my biggest Godzilla is 12", Kong will be too huge in comparison, but it's a great looking figure for a Walmart level toy, much better than the toy store quality figures from Kong 2005.

That Kong will scale fairly well with Jakks Godzilla. My 18" Striker Eureka isn't much smaller than the Jakks Godzilla.

Kong seems to suffer from Popeye arms.
