Re: The Merchandise Thread
One small magazine update; for Cinefex
"Cinefex 138 features a 14-page story on the making of "Godzilla," including in-depth interviews with key effects artists, plus 13 behind-the-scenes photos and frame clips from the movie, many of them exclusive to Cinefex. "
http://www.cinefex.com/backissues/issue138.htm
Sadly, they only did covers with Captain America and Spider-man. But still, 14 pages is a decent bit, and exclusive stills and BTS images. Might be pretty interesting and have some new information on the film's creation.

Edit: Looks like it'll be sold at a Japanese theater starting Saturday in limited quantities. Sounds tricky to obtain. Drat.

That's interesting, because that cup lid's sculpt seems to be more movie accurate than the NECA and SHMA figures...GFAN198423 wrote:I want this, it'd make a cool bust on display.

Gareth Edwards looks like Godzilla in that pic.Bigdog wrote:Reminds me more of Godzilla 2000 than 2014. I'll go for the maquette and save for that, but I doubt I'd want to go for a figure that looks like Godzilla 2000 in Legendary style.

Ah so it's fan-made, and an anti-bronto feet fan at that. Some of the spikes are pretty wonky too now that I look at it.Lain Of The Wired wrote:The feet aren't "movie accurate"InstinctiveGigan wrote:Someone found these images on Facebook, could this be the Sideshow Godzilla statue?

Still an impressive fan piece though.

Re: The Merchandise Thread
Probably so, I've fallen in love with the "bronto-feet", so it kinda irked me when I saw SHMA's Godzilla 2014 figure, I hope this thing isn't legit, I demand movie accuracy ONLYInstinctiveGigan wrote:Ah so it's fan-made, and an anti-bronto feet fan at that.Lain Of The Wired wrote:The feet aren't "movie accurate"InstinctiveGigan wrote:Someone found these images on Facebook, could this be the Sideshow Godzilla statue?

That's an incredibly made sculpture though. It pushes me to make a Godzilla maquette of my own!InstinctiveGigan wrote:Someone found these images on Facebook, could this be the Sideshow Godzilla statue?

Re: The Merchandise Thread
Actually it's neither fan-made or merchandise. It's a Japanese promotional prop.
