Looking for Final Wars' chocolate-faced kid

Postby hammysammy59 » Mon Mar 26, 2012 10:24 pm

I'm pretty sure I've seen pics of Final Wars' chocolate-faced fanboy posted on the forums somewhere. That scene cracks me up, and I'd like to use the image for a blog post... anybody have a screencap they'd be willing to share? Thanks!

Yeah, I do. I was going to screen cap it myself, but when I was reviewing the scene, I noticed there isn't really a shot that has all of his toys AND a good view of his chocolate-smeared face. Went with a generic nerd stock-photo instead.

There are a couple shots of him & his toys during the credits.

Can you believe the way he was throwing around those high-quality toys? Unreal.

Considering most people buy toys for the purpose of playing with them, yes. Yes I can.

It was a joke. But seeing a $70 an above Titanosaurus getting thrown around is pretty jaw-dropping, haha.

Toho has money to burn. I think they can afford to damage one figurine.

Damn right. Hell, I have $150+ vinyls that I 'play' with, smashing them around and whatnot, and I couldnt care less, honestly.

Life is short, play more.

What's the point of getting toys if you don't play with them once and a while? ;)

Well, for one, limited production. Don't play with them too hard, otherwise, they'll wear down to the point of collapse...and buying a replacement would be challenging if they break after the point where they no longer produce this particular version of the toy. I used to play the hell out of the Gundams, but they ultimately broke down. Now I have a box full of assorted Gundam pieces; largely incomplete figures as many pieces were lost to the void of a delapidated house..and these were the Gundam Wing series. By the time I realized I needed to buy replacements, they were no longer producing that particular line of Gundams. I would imagine they're selling in Amazon, but I'm digressing...
Anyways, during my brief stay in Okinawa, I've found some Bandai Godzilla figures; bought me a BatoGoji (from a second-hand thrift store...sort of faded, but nothing a quick paint job could fix) and a KiryuGoji (from a retailer). I sometimes feel tempted to play with them, but then I force myself to remember why I bought them. As an artist, I buy them to admire the details that went into Godzilla's design, and use them for my next drawing ideas. But this is just me...

To make a meme image of course, using an old tired joke.

Or for the reason Sammy actually stated, that works too.

I know it was a joke, but if you ever want to see how Toho feels about teh toys related to their properties, just watch Godzilla Island, that right there is some awesome toy play
