Bring back Rodan or KG, sure. But keep MG and Mothra out for a while.

I'd like to see Mecha-G brought back. If Toho decides to revisit the Hesei Era, and create a new Mechagodzilla. I'd be keen on seeing either something resembling the Trendmasters Powered-Up version(http://www.tohokingdom.com/toys/powerup_mg_trendmasters.html), in which the UN-Mechagodzilla's designers took into account their original lack of ability taking on a physical threat. And built something that could take a pounding. Another favorite, is the SMG-IInd from the the Godzilla Generations Maximum Impact Atari video game.

Which looks like the UNGCC Frankensteined various spare parts intended for Mecha-G, and not wanting to waste anything. They also attached Mecha-King Ghidorah's head and neck. Even if Godzilla, the meaner more belligerent one, was dead, there was still a chance the Junior, now an adult. Could turn bad like his "father". Or else another threat could show up that would need to be dealt with so. So they put the SMG-IInd together, to have something in reserve.

You know, a MG with laser gatling guns would be pretty snazzy.

You'd think they would have done that by now, the laser gatling gun thing. I know the EDF (or is it GDF?) have them in GFW but you'd think they'd make a big one for Mechagodzilla.

Here's my idea:

A new monster appears, it's insanely strong. Godzilla goes up against it, and it just skreeonk' beats his ass. Hardcore. So the Guv'ment comes and takes him to some secret facility or whatnot and keep him in some kind of radiation-sapping enclosure to keep him weakened and out of their hair while they try their hand at dealing with the new monster.

Predictably, they get wiped out. So while everyone is sitting around trying to think of some way to handle this new beast, someone comes up with the idea to outfit Godzilla with basically a gigantic suit of armor with all sorts of high-tech weapons in it, thus making HIM Mechagodzilla.

The armor is made out of some new-fangled super-durable metal, and continuously pumps radiation into Godzilla, which makes him much stronger then normal. There's all sorts of other cool powers it has too, and the actual lasers and missiles and such mounted on Godzilla are controlled by the military.

Mechagodzilla confronts the new kaiju and kicks its ass, but not before losing his armor.

Not a bad idea, eh?

So basically Kiryu except the current living Godzilla instead of the dead 54 one and much stronger and the conversion into a cyborg is only temporary instead of permanent? It's interesting.

Plus his actions aren't being controlled by the military themselves, just the weapons mounted on his armor. So say they wanted to use a laser on his right arm, they'd have to wait until Godzilla pointed his arm at the other monster to give them a clear shot.

I think Godzilla is too stupid to use his new toys if this happened.

Which is why the military would be controlling them. Godzilla would just be fighting as normal with kick-ass armor.

Very much so. That was kind of the inspiration for the idea.

I got it!

But the aforementioned idea does sound pretty cool. It sounds kind of like Cyber-Zilla from Godzilla: The Series.

I don't think they should remake mechagodzilla again, even though they probably will. I instead think they should make another kiryu movie, but have it be like Kiryu is the godzilla of the movie and have him become Godzilla gradually in physical form. see K.W.C match 121 Kiryu vs Hedorah to see what I mean by that.
