Well said, Rody. All of those reasons, and more, are why I love the Oni/Sokogeki-Goji the most out of all of them. It was my favorite Godzilla since '91, and my favorite 'modern' Godzilla design. The "beer gut" doesn't bother me at all.

I generally like the GMK Godzilla but he does look weird from some angles. And those ridiculous clown feet...fortunately we don't see them often.

I think I've figured out that the primary fault of the suit is that the lower portion of the body (torso, legs & feet) is out of proportion with the rest of the body; it's too large.
I also think that's part of the issue behind the potbelly.

I agree, even though I like the GMK suit, his feet here bit too big, and of course it looked like he had a big old potbelly.

Yeah, I don't blame anyone for disliking it; it has a lot of faults. For me, though, they aren't too distracting.

I'll take the beer gut on the GMK Godzilla over the engorged tumor-chest of the nineties Godzilla any day.

I like both Heisei and GMK suits but I prefer Heisei by alot. Better head design, better color-scheme, and my favorite eyes of any Godzilla (His gut and legs did get silly from '93 onwards, but GMK has lame feet and that beer gut).. And those clown feet of GMK are ridiculous. Its still a great suit, but the older designs are the best IMO. Mosu-Goji, Daisenso-Goji and Bio-Goji (as well as the one if GvKG) are my faves.

I'll defend the beer gut, as I like the sense of stability and prefer the proportions better; gives Godzilla a more grounded feel being less top heavy. That being said, the clown feet are bizarre and look like giant rubberized slippers. It could be said they continue the general outline and profile of this Godzilla being bottom heavy, but they look ridiculous and fake.

I kinda like the beer gut too, just like I like Heisei's thunder thighs. Fatass proportions do give personality. Silly stuff isn't always bad.

I agree, I think the beer gut fit the design in a strange way. G '84 was the best suit IMO however.

I never was really bothered by Sokogecki-Goji's feet. Yeah, they are rather big, but -- maybe I'm just missing something.

Pop the GMK head on the FW body and you're in business. Talk about lean and mean...

As long as the head isn't so proportionally large I feel like it'd work.

I think Bio/Ghido-Goji's head would be more appropriate for Final-Goji.

I like GMK Goji best, just because he was so evil looking. Hell, he was evil! Lol

Sorry, I just can't picture that at all. I don't think they would fit. The head of the Oni-Goji was designed to be for a very large Godzilla. Making it "smaller" and giving it pupils would just make it look really odd.

GFW had far more freedom of movement, giving the character of Godzilla more action capability, and considerably more flexibility than any of the earlier suits. My clear favorite from a design stand point alone.

That is a big selling point for me too, at least when it comes to Heisei/Millennium suits.
I rank Final-Goji fairly high on my personal list of favorite Godzilla suits.
