Favorite Godzilla Design

Kiryu-Goji doesn't really resemble the heisei suit. If ANY suit does, it's Final-Goji.

I don't see this "Heisei vibe" from the Kiryu-Goji in the slightest. Like Rody mentioned, the Final-Goji almost looks like an extremely slimmed down Heisei Goji. The feet, back plates, and head are all pretty different though.

Same here. It's the all-around fullest Millennium suit, stands upright and has the same basic attitude. To me it brings to mind the Heisei Godzilla than any other suit in this series.

Generally speaking, the millenium suits are a mixed bag (as are the films themselves). I would say my favorite was GFW Goji...very nice blending of showa, heisei, and millenium features (don't really get the "rat face" comparisons...the face looks rather no-nonsense and mean...I like it ). The GMK suit looks great from certain angles, but its fat pot belly, poorly designed feet(Franken-Goji ), and silly pupiless eyes really hold it back. I use to really dislike the Frog-face 99 Mire-Goji suit...but it's starting to grow on me recently. The worst were by far the Kiryu-Goji Gonzo-snout suits....the GxMG/SoS "Gonzo-Goji" designs were some of the worst suits of entire series imo, not just the millenium series....

I thought I was in the minority (a lot of people seem to like that Godzilla, even if they don't care for the film), but I've been seeing more people show their distaste for it. Other than the head and wimpy black plates, it's not a bad design. Too bad the weird looking head is so distracting.

Ignoring the head, I think the Final-Goji suit is very reminiscent to the Showa suits and I do love it for that.

My favorite has to be the G-2000/Megaguirus suits. The look really works for me. There's something more animal-like to the kaiju. I honestly thought that the Heisei suit was perfection until I saw the bugger in action on the big screen at a theater I once used to frequeint. One feature that really stuck out to me was the claws at the Big-G's fingertips. Those nails look like they'd inflict some nasty gauges in close combat wuth an opponent. Too bad we were treated to that.

The GMK suit comes in second. The foggy, pupiless eyes, an homage to the old publicity pics of the Showa, work quite nicely. Gives Godzilla that souless, demonic look that Kaneko was looking for with the supernatural aspect of the storyline. Also, the Kaiju King's animated features, gave him quite a bit of personality . You could tell the wheels were turning in that brain. The suit's rather bulky look, while called "thunder thighs" by some critics, gave the sense of massive power the monster possessed, dwarfing his kaiju opponents in the flick. And giving you a sense of the uphill battle his opponents faced.

The G-suits from the , Kiryu Saga had their pluses and minuses. The suits had the nesscessary bulk to convey a sense of power. However, the hang-up I had with them was the head design. While from some angles looked rather neat-o and fierce. From some angles, especially in the eyes, looked like they were ready to pop out at any minute. Just a bit too cartoony.

Final Wars comes in dead last for this bloke. It's just way too skinny. The head looks like it shrunk in the wash. And the suit in its entirety looks a little too plastic, and cheap looking. Much like the film itself.

I'm surprised at the many votes GMK got, I didn't know it was THAT popular. Anyways, for me, it's definitely the 2000 one. I've always really liked it. Am I the only one that likes the exaggerated spikes? I really like those, they don't flap around like in previous incarnations.

Final Wars comes in a very close second, a very good design in my opinion. I actually like the head design.

I mean how often has Godzilla had ears. The only other times I can think of are Gojira and GRA.
