I wouldn't know; never heard of that.

Actually, I don't think I've actually seen a Santa or Easter bunny at the mall before; not that I recall, at least.

...But we're getting off topic. Sokogecki-Goji is, if nothing else, a very IMPOSING suit.

I love the Kiryu saga design. Great mix of Millennium and Classic designs.

G2K/GXM is my personal favorite with GMK coming in at a close second. My third favorite is Final Wars. I'm just not too fond of the 2002/2003 Suits. That is my opinion.

GMK is my favorite overall suit from the whole series. They really should've fixed that pot belly, though.

GMK costume was a perfect modernization of the menacing look, minus the beer belly, which I don't know why that was added (if it was a mistake or someone liked it to give him more mass), but I thought the trim-look of the poster artwork was the best.

He has the best looking face, especially with the mouth closed, grimace look like in my avatar.

The "beer belly" isn't even distracting at all, so I don't understand why people complain about it so vigorously. You almost never see it.

^ There's always something to complain about when it comes to Godzilla designs. In this case, because GMK Godzilla is one of the best costumes for Godzilla, people have to find something to complain about it. On topic though, my favorite is, and always will be the Final Wars design, and personally I see no correlation between his face and that of a rat's. 2nd place is GMK, and 3rd place is the 2000/Megaguris design.

Lately I've been noticing how important the face & posture of Godzilla are, and how subtle differences can completely change a conveyed personality.

Kiryu-Goji has a posture similar to the Heisei Godzilla, conveying a sense of sheer might. However, unlike Heisei Godzilla's face, which suggests a bully-like personality, Kiryu-Goji has an expression of condescension. This Godzilla looks contemptuous and disdainful, as if when he looks at you, he's saying, "How DARE you enter my territory! How DARE you challenge me!"
This Godzilla knows he is the superior life form, and he has no patience for us lower life forms. On the other hand, when this Godzilla is knocked to his feet, the face is somehow capable of looking humiliated, perhaps even humbled.
For these reasons, Kiryu-Goji is very high on my list of favorite Goji suits, ranking extremely close to Sokogecki-Goji.

I don't want to be TOO long, so I'll discuss Sokogecki-Goji another time.

Come on. Me, and many other people would like to hear you're opinion on GMk Godzilla. Oh and when you get the chance, can you do the last two suits?

Instead of the belly being the sole target of criticism, GMK's Godzilla would perhaps benefit from a bigger, more muscular looking chest. This way it wouldn't look like a kangaroo with his lower half sticking out further than his upper chest.

Keep in mind that if the suit is big, the actor inside won't be able to do much. I think this was one of the problems with the Heisei suit.

Speaking of Sokogecki-Goji, this is my favorite Millennium suit. the shape and appearance is greatly reminiscent of the early Showa suits, combined with the stature and personality of the Heisei Godzilla -- except where Heisei-Goji was basically just a brute, Sokogecki-Goji is sadistic. He doesn't just enjoy flaunting his power; he specifically looks like he's out to maim and kill. You can see it in his face, which has the boxy shape and subtle grin of Heisei-Goji, but is now aided by larger, sharper teeth, big aggressive eyebrows, and spooky white eyes - but then again, perhaps the pure white eyes detract slightly from expression. I think the beady eyes of Shodai-Goji might have worked better here.

While I consider Kiryu-Goji to have the best facial expressions, Sokogecki-Goji comes in close behind.

Love the way you put that. Though I'm a fan of the white eyes. I think they fit in well with his character in this film and its so unique that you immediately know which Godzilla you are looking at. The eye brows and lips did so much in the mannerism department that I think it actually compliments it in the film very well. Because his eyes are ghostly white, you have to pay more attention to the other subtle changes in his face, and Kaneko did a great job at making those noticable and obvious enough.

Yes, I love the detail put into the suit. It's a shame that it's hindered by a couple major flaws.
