Tell that to Anguirus, Zilla, Kamacuras, Manda, and Ebirah who got in and yet they don't have powers.
Well I think Anguirus only got in due to popularity power.
Although I have no idea how the others got in.
Ebirah is kinda important, given that he held his own against Godzilla for awhile.

Most comic store owners are pretty chill. Just say hey hows it going chit chat for 5 min then ask about how the godzilla comics are. Don't be afraid to talk to them :D
naw man, I can see murder in his eyes dude. I swear!

Well yeah but Anguirus is able to hold his own against more than just Godzilla, and considering he's considered Godzilla's most loyal ally, you HAVE to be tough to fill that role.

Besides a bunch of Super Humans with souped up Machine Guns managed to take Ebirah out in GFW

Wasn't Destoroyah originally planned for the film instead of Monster X?

And yes, I like Monster X and Keizer Ghidorah, and the movie too (*flips off haters*)

No, that sounds like something made up on Wikizilla. I remember it was debunked in an interview.

What about Kiryu in place of the Gotengo?

Toho didn't want to use Mechag for a third time in a row so he was not going to be part of GFW

Kiryu would have probably caused a continuity confusion as well.

^ Toho trying to prevent continuity confusion? Toho? I highly doubt that was the reason for not having Kiryu in FW. Nor do I think preventing continuity confusion is even a priority for Toho at all. (See: Heisei series)

I think it was just that 3 films in a row would be too much for Mechagodzilla to appear in, as Godzillian said.

I agreed with Godzillian and said that some people would have continuity confusion. I did not state continuity confusion was a reason for not including Kiryu. :D

I like Monster X, but I don't like Kaiser Ghidorah. I feel that film would have been strengthened if Space Godzilla and regular Ghidorah teamed up against Godzilla for the final fight.

I think that's a great idea, but I would prefer if Monster X was the main villain, since I thought he was a much more credible threat than Kaiser Ghidorah.

A different Ghidorah. Oh! Idea!

The aliens bring out King Ghidorah, who loses to Godzilla. He comes back as Mecha-King Ghidorah and almost triumphs, but fails in the end. They bring out Desghidorah and Grand King Ghidorah, but they fail as well.

Then they bring out the Showa Mechagodzilla while the GDF bring out Kiryu. Kiryu loses to Showa Mechagodzilla, who loses to Godzilla.

That whole sequence would've been cool.

Hmm the following candidates would have done NICELY:

1.) DESTOROYAH!
2.) 'Ghost Big-G' - well the concept of him would have been interesting and tie-in to an extent to Big-G 2004 ...
3.) ORGA
4.) MOGERA (well a JSDF version and upgraded 1957 version Moguera would be cool and interesting)
5.) Although probably NEVER GONNA HAPPEN ... ULTRAMAN TIGA AND ULTRAMAN KAIJU!
6.) ZONE FIGHTER!
7.) THE MUTOS!
8.) GAME MONSTERS ... too many to think or mention at once ...

I would have replaced Hedorah with either Baragon or Varan

Hedorah shouldn't have ever been included. For being one of the toughest kaiju to kill in the Godzilla series, he's tossed aside in Final Wars like he's nothing. Something that's always bugged me about the movie, for sure. I don't even think Hedorah needs a replacement. It's not like the role served any purpose than to get another kaiju kameo in.

This would have called for an entirely different movie but here's my alternate roster -
Godzilla
Minilla
Anguirus
Rodan
Mothra
Kumonga
Manda
King Ghidorah

I would've totally loved to see some Heisei kaiju... Maybe Biollante, Battra and Destoroyah, but it would have been shameful to see their asses getting punch-bagged I'm a few seconds by Goji.

i voted to let it be. the last thing i'd want is to see a cult favorite like Titanosaurus Megalon get completely destroyed in a bad (worse, in Megalon's case) movie.
