I find it really interesting that Toho required (requires?) their directors to produce their own storyboards. Is that typical? It basically requires a skill-set as a cartoonist/artist, which seems pretty crazy.

I am pretty sure Toshihiro Hirano did the storyboards for Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah,
Did all the Millennium directors do their own storyboards?
I figure if the director has enough artistic capabilities it is easier to do themselves, then to try and describe it to someone else to draw out.

I just remember one of the Heisei or Millenium directors mentioning it in an interview; maybe it wasn't actually a requirement.

Might've been the compilation that I put together, if it was CG. Turn off the annoying annotations, I'm too lazy to remove them:




But its incomplete and unfortunately I don't believe all the fight sequences were actually recorded, let alone in high quality. I've seen a small picture of an orange spiral breath being used by this Godzilla.. Which is probably going to fade into obscurity and never been found, like some of those Godzilla manga.

As for the live action section I'm not sure myself, there was definitely a compilation by someone else but it may have been removed
