Do you expect a Toho Godzilla movie before 2014?

Toho will probably not release another Godzilla film unless Legendarys Godzilla film bombs in the U.S. an is a huge success in Japan.. Then you might possibly get one in 2014 an that's a huge maybe.

Personally i think Toho are tired of making Godzilla films for right now.. Not that they don't want to but there idea's at this point have run dry.. So i think that's one of the many reason's Toho is allowing Legendary Pictures to have a crack at Godzilla as well as releasing the right's to Godzilla an other Toho monster's to IDW comic's.

Considering Final War's didn't perform well at all in Japan there just testing out water's to see how popular Godzilla still is over-sea's. Obviously Godzilla will never stay dead... i expect Godzilla to make it 100 years, even if we get maybe 1 or 2 films every 10 years from Toho Godzilla will never be permanently laid to rest.

I am hoping Legendary Pictures Godzilla really kick-starts the Franchise again, an introduces Godzilla an all the other monster's to western audiences in a fresh an new way. So i wouldn't be surprised if Legendarys Godzilla movie is a success that Toho won't make a Godzilla movie till 2020 at-least an id be quite alright with that as long as i get solid American Godzilla films.

I'm pretty sure when LP is done with Godzilla then it will likely be 15 or 16 years since Final Wars. So 2020 seems right unless something awful goes wrong with the LP movie which I hope it does not.

Well, I will say Toho will do something in 2014 to commemorate the anniversary. My guess is a short film or a cameo. But with LP's film, success or failure, Godzilla's done with.

Short film, cameo, release of a box set with new extras, whatever. They'll be doing something, but I think a film may just be out-of-the-question. If the LP film does well, Toho might let 'em make a sequel to it for the anniversary.
