Toho needs to make another mothra series

Since Godzilla is in america now Toho should make a new Mothra series and maybe even featuer rodan or battra in it.

^^ This right here, I Love Rodan. They should at least remake his Original film not that it needs it but at-least give him a second shot on the movie screen. Wasn't like his little Cameo made much of a stir in Final War's an he wasn't in any Godzilla film's since the early 90's.

So i think his time is due.

Or the rumored King Ghidorah solo vehicle that was hotly rumored in 1999.

I remember hearing rumors that Toho will give Rodan his own series after Final Wars, but that never happen. Mothra got her series seeing how popular she was in the 90's. Maybe LP will remake "Rodan" (1956) or "Mothra" (1961) depending how well their Godzilla movie turns out.

The idea probably wouldn't work. Not trying to be all negative, but there's just not a whole lot TO Rodan. I mean, all he is is a giant pterodactyl that flies really fast. No bells and whistles, you could say. I like the idea, but people want more than that to seperate him from just any old run-of-the-mill 50's monster. He WAS cool in his debut film, but he wouldn't work now.

I haven't seen any of his directorial efforts, but it'd be cool if Shinji Higuchi remade a '50s film like Rodan or The Mysterians.

Mothra vs Bagan would be nice, but Mothra's been used too much for now. An American Rodan could be interesting, lets say using the classic Rodan design but giving it Fire Rodan's beam.

Mothra needs a break from films. Seriously. I like her and all, but she's been overused so much in the past 20 years. More so than King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla.

While I agree that she is overused, if anyone can handle her own series it's Mothra. She's done it once before with mixed results.

I'm going to have to agree with Abel here. Mothra is great and all, but she's been overused to death in the past 2 decades.

Rodan needs a come back more than anything before Toho thinks about bringing back Mothra for the 82nd time. Mothra is a staple Toho/Godzilla character, yes, but audiences (as well as G-fans) need a a serious break from her character IMO.

You've seen Mothra, right? There isn't much to that character, either. If she shows up as a larva initially, chances are she'll spin a cocoon and emerge as the giant moth. If she shows up as a moth, she'll die and one or two larva hatch and save the day.
All the 90's managed to do was give her pew-pew lasers or portray the character as a male.

They took a pretty basic character and fleshed it out enough to warrant three decent movies. A similar thing could be done to Rodan.
I'm not saying we need to see something like Armored Rodan or anything, but they could definitely work with the character enough to fill out a decent trilogy.

Godzilla is a giant dinosaur with serious oversleeping issues who can breath something.
