Should we make a general movie ideas thread? Perhaps instead this could be converted into a general movie ideas thread ...?

Why? Not snarky, just curious.

I have another idea, after seeing The Avengers trailer and movie. Maybe having Godzilla and other monster gathering against a Loki-like threat. They don't get along, but some Fireforged Friends stuff occurs. The monsters I'm thinking as Godzilla's allies are Mothra, Rodan, Kiryu, Anguirus, and Biollante. The first three are Toho's most popular monsters, while Kiryu serves as a representatives of the Millenium era. Anguirus because he's popular in the West and Godzilla's BFF. Biollante because there needs to be a monster from a Heisei era and Mothra shouldn't be the only woman monster around (Toho needs more women monsters).

The alternate idea would be Godzilla, Gamera, King Kong, and Rhedosaur teaming up. Rhedosaur because Japan and America's representative monsters should be 50/50 and Rhedosaur was a major influence for Godzilla.

I think it'd be fun to discuss movies outside of just what we think would be a good Toho movie proposal. Many of us probably have ideas for something else, like a good thriller or horror movie that we don't necessarily think of Toho handling.

GOJIRA BALL Z

Plot: Godzilla comes from the planet Gorgo, and encounters his older Brother Titanosaurus who soon kidnaps his son Minilla, soon he loses and has to team up with his rival Rodan, then they fight Titanosaurus, however Godzilla sacrifices himself in order to hold on to Titanosaurus so Rodan can defeat him with the Dactyle beam, in his final words Titanosaurus reveals that there are two even more powerful Gorgos coming to earth to take it over, so Godzilla goes to the Shadow realm and get stronger, while Rodan teaches Minilla how to fight, and the other K-Fighters train as well, 1 year later King Ghidorah and Gigan arive to earth, when they meet the K-Fighters they release their Gabara spawns to fight the K-Fighters (Rodan, Minilla, Anguirus, Baragon, Gorosaurus, and Zilla), Gorosaurus is the first to fight and he beats one of the 6 Gabaras, then Zilla fights one and beats it but after that he gets killed quite easily when Zilla is distracted, so then Gigan joins the fight, soon Gorosaurus gets his ass kicked and Minilla runs away like a pussy, Baragon sacrifices his life to save his love Gorosaurus, but fails to kill Gigan, then Gorosaurus gets ragin mad and tries to kill Gigan with his Kangaroo beam but fails epically and dies, so then Anguirus accidently slips up that Godzilla is returning, so then King Ghidorah orders Gigan to kill the remaining K-Fighters quickly, however when Gigan blast Minilla with the Lazer beam, Rodan sacrifices his life to save Minilla, then Godzilla arrives and kicks Gigans ass, then King Ghidorah kills Gigan for failure, and he and Godzilla fly off to Canada (the least important place on earth), Godzilla and King Ghidorah fight, then it ends when Godzilla's Atomic Breath X9000 blasts King Ghidorah to space, so King Ghidorah then creates some weird ass Lighting ball and transforms into a Keizer, however when King Ghidorah almost kills Godzilla, Anguirus and Minilla arrive to save him, so then Varan arrives and cuts off King Ghidorahs extra tail to transform him back, but soon everyone gets their asses kicked till Minilla transforms into a Keizer and kicks King Ghidorahs ass, King Ghidorah retreats, then 5 months later Minilla and Anguirus recover and go to the planet X (rodan's home planet) to find the Kaiju Ballz, when they arrive they fight all kinds of bad men, soon they have to team up with King Ghidorah (who also arrived), and fight stronger bad men, then they get their ass kicked by the Queer Powa (Kumonga, Hedorah, Megalon, Battra, and Captain Destoroyah), then Godzilla arrives and kills Kumonga, Megalon and Hedorah, but then he goes off to fight Destoroyah, Destoroyah switches bodies with Godzilla and goes off to take back the Kaiju Ballz from the K-Fighters, then Destoroyah as Godzilla get his ass kicked by King Ghidorah and King Ghidorah kills Battra, then he puts Godzilla in a Regen chamber, later the evil tyrant Jet Jaguar arrives and fights King Ghidorah, then Jet Jaguar transforms and beats everyones ass, after of which Rodan is revived somehow and fights Jet Jaguar, soon Jet Jaguar transforms again and again and then beats the powered-up King Ghidorah, Godzilla soon arrives, but then Jet Jaguar kills King Ghidorah then he fights Godzilla, soon Godzilla gets beaten up and tried the Atomic Ball, but fails, and Anguirus gets killed, then Godzilla goes Super and Becomes Super Godzilla and defeats Jet Jaguar, but his fate is unknown, 5 years later Jet Jaguar returns with his Father Ultraman and try to take over earth, however Iris arrives and kills them both, then Godzilla returns and soon Iris reveals that he is King Ghidorahs son from the future, and reveals that 3 years later two mechas will take over the earth and kill everyone but Minilla and Iris, 3 years later everyone arrives to New York City, and soon fight Mecha-Kong and Mecha-Mothra, but Godzilla gets a Nuclear Heart Attack and soon gets his ass kicked, then King Ghidorah arrives and goes super becoming Super King Ghidorah and kills Mecha-Mothra, later on Mecha-Kong is discovered to be really King Kong, later Mecha-Kong reveals Mechagodzilla and Mecharodan who kill Mecha-Kong and revive Mechagamera, later Rodan discovers a creature named Orga who needs to absorb Mechagodzilla and Mecharodan to become super strong, they fight but it is then halted, soon Rodan fights Mechagodzilla but then Orga absorbs Mechagodzilla to get stronger, Mecharodan and Mechagamera then run away, later King Ghidorah and Iris got stronger and go off to stop Orga, but Orga absorbs Mecharodan and becomes PERFECT, then he kicks King Ghidorahs ass, later Godzilla and Minilla are done training, 2 weeks later, Godzilla fights Orga but soon surrenders, then Minilla fights him but gets his ass kicked, however, soon Minilla goes Super-X2, and becomes X-Minilla, and he kicks Orgas ass, then Orga get big and Godzilla sacrifices his life to save earth, then Orga returns and fights Minilla, but Minilla finally kills him, and earth is back to normal, Minilla then discovers the 3 Egyptian God Cards, the Death Note, and the Holy Grail, and Godzilla does not come back to life, then Anguirus and Mecharodan have babies together

I am still hoping to see a Godzilla VS Gamera in the future. But if that never happens, then I wish for a stand-alone Godzilla film like GOJIRA and GODZILLA 1984 since there hasn't been one of those in almost three years.

Monsters: Godzilla, Rodan, Anguirus, Mothra, King Ceasar, Jet Jaguar, Minilla, Varan, Baragon, Gorosaurus, Ebirah, King Kong, Gezora, Ganimes, Kamoebas, Gigan, Hedorah, King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, Moguera, Destroyah

Plot: The year is 2012, and it is based in the Showa continuity. All the monsters have been living peacefully on Monster Island since the Kilaak attack in 1999, until Godzilla starts acting strange. He starts to get very agitated and his chest starts to glow orange! He is melting down! The humans who work at Monster Island create a giant room (called the "Destroyah Room" named after the oxygen destroyer) that can immediatly drop its oxygen level to 0 by the click of a button. They lear Godzilla into it and drop the oxygen level, which kills him. This prevents meltdown. Immediatly after, the lack of oxygen in the room cause the dead Godzilla cells to morph into a terrifying beast. The beast destroys the control center which causes the field barriers to malfunction. The beast, called Destroyah, is killed by the combined might of Varan, Baragon, Gorosaurus, and Ebirah in an epic battle. In all the commotion, no one noticed Minilla has strangely dissapeared. All of a sudden, monsters that were presumed dead appear all over the world. Gezora in Osaka. Ganimes in Beijing. Kamoebas in Rio de Janeiro. Gigan in San Francisco. Hedorah in Washington DC. King Ghidorah in Tokyo. The world seems to be ending. Soon, a strange man appears and explains that he is the 'space emperor' and that all alien attacks on earth (the Mysterians in 1957, the Xiliens in 1965, the Space Amoeba in 1970, Hedorah in 1971, the Nebula M Spacehunter in 1972, the Simeons in 1974 and 1975, and the Kilaaks in 1999) were all commishioned by him and now he has exact clones of all the Kaiju he used in his attacks. He also kidnapped Minilla so there would be no threat of Godzilla.Varan, Baragon, Gorosaurus, and Ebirah are sent to kill the space monsters, but they are all killed because of wounds from the fight against Destroyah. Moonlight SY-3 is sent to space to retrieve Minilla. They are succsessful and Minilla is brought back to Monster Island. They take Minilla to the dead Destroyah corpse and the radiation transforms him into a full-grown Godzilla, with glowing red spines because of the Destroyah cells. Godzilla, Anguirus, Rodan, King Ceasar, and Larva Mothra are sent to kill the space monsters. Meanwhile on Faro Island, King Kong senses the disturbance so he heads towards Japan. The 'space emperor' sends Ganimes to kill Kong. Kong makes quick work with him, killing him in 10 seconds. He's been practicing since his fight with Godzilla, and the weather looks like a thunder storm. King Kong ends up meeting up with the rest of the earth monsters, shaking hands with the new Godzilla to prove he is an ally. The space monsters and the earth monsters confront in Tokyo and a battle takes place. First Rodan is killed, then Gezora, then Anguirus, then Kamoebas, then King Ceaser, then Gigan, then Kong, then King Ghidorah, Mothra retreats back to Infant Island. Godzilla has won. "Not so fast" the Space Emperor says "I still have a trick up my intergalactic sleeve, two to be exact." Soon, Mechagodzilla and Moguera appear next to Godzilla and pin him to the ground, causing him to pass out. The UN agree to fight metal with metal and contact retired inventor Goro Ibuki to send out Jet Jaguar. Godzilla wakes up and the combined team of him and Jet Jaguar defeat Moguera, but not Mechagodzilla. Mechagodzilla destroys Jet Jaguar, and K.O's Godzilla. When all hope seems lost: Mothra, now an adult, comes and starts to fight Mechagodzilla. Godzilla wakes up and destroys Mechagodzilla with his radioactive breath. Mothra carries the weak Godzilla back to Monster Island were they live happily ever after.

tl;dr destroy all monsters remake, with a twist.

Title: Godzilla's Day

Godzilla would attack Tokyo at midnight, but Mothra arrives to stop him. After a quick, but brutal, battle, Godzilla prepares to kill Mothra, but an army of aliens begins to attack the Earth. Many mutant monsters also start a massacre across the world. Godzilla and Mothra team up to stop the armies. The duo first fights and kills Gezora, Moguera, and Titanosaurus in the ocean before they head into a desert, where they fight Biollante and eventually kill her. Suddenly Mothra is beamed away and captured by the aliens, and Godzilla barely escapes from a demonic black Godzilla. Godzilla meets up with Zilla, who had just managed to kill Varan, and the two wage war against the invading forces.

Godzilla and Zilla fight against Orga, Gigan, and Megalon, and without realizing that Orga was still alive, meet up with Anguirus and Rodan, who join them in their war. The team fights and kills Ghidrah(Showa King Ghidorah) rather quickly before they escape from the black Godzilla. Then the team is captured by the alien mothership, but escape and free Mothra, inadvertantly releasing Spacegodzilla in the process. Spacegodzilla flies away, and the team head after him.

The team battles against Hedorah and Mechagodzilla, managing to kill them before they escape once more from the black Godzilla. This time, though, the black Godzilla roars, causing the land to become hellish before disappearing. Godzilla and the others meet Monster X in battle, and manage to overwhelm him, only for him to become Keizer Ghidorah. The battle rages on, but they manage to defeat him once more. Grand King Ghidorah then attacks, managing to severly wound Anguirus and Rodan before Mothra slices him in half. Spacegodzilla attacks the group, nearly killing Anguirus and Mothra. In an effort to save the others, Mothra self-destructs, horrible mangling Spacegodzilla. Before anyone can make a move, however, the black Godzilla slaughters Spacegodzilla and attacks the team.

Anguirus goes down first, followed by Rodan. Zilla is horrifically wounded, and Godzilla can barely keep going. The black Godzilla moves in to finish him, but Orga arrives, having gained the DNA of all the kaiju Godzilla and the others had killed, becoming a super chimera. Orga and the black Godzilla battle for hours, and Godzilla eventually reenters the fray, until with one last beam to the heart, the black Godzilla dissolves into a skeleton, collapsing to the ground. Orga is revealed to be a good kaiju, and the Earth rebuilds itself.

Troubled times lay ahead in the future, The economy has dropped down, and another war has started. The US, now an empire has decided to settle a moon colony, along with some of their allies, the Unified Korean, and the Japanese, as well as a beautiful girl. All of a sudden, Godzilla attacks.

Perhaps, Japan is hosting the 2016 Olympics. The world believes Godzilla is gone. The first sighting is by tsunami detection equipment in The Pacific. They can find no evidence of a earthquake, but something has happened deep in the ocean. Detection further shows something large approaching Japan and the Winter Olympics. (just think Godzilla is nuclear powered and should produce his own heat) Panic ensues when people are trapped by the worst snow storms to ever hit Japan. No ships can leave and evacuations are stifled. The world must respond to the imminent threat.
At this time another creature appears that is cold based. It has remained hidden under a glacier. It is free and is driving the whole of japan under an ice age to start. Godzilla is the only force that could stop this. A pure battle to ensue of fire and ice. Guess we get the picture.

My idea, is an expansion of the Kiryu Saga...

1st one: This will be about the Japanese being foolish enough to recover Kiryu, however the crew that was sent to find and recover Kiryu mysteriously disappeared.
The last thing they heard of the crew was "Emergency, we have a unknown large figure heading our way, I repeat, a unknown large figure is heading our way"And then there is static, and a roar not of Godzilla, but of another monster, an unknown monster. Days later, a US and Japanese navy fleet while on the watch for the unknown monster are attacked, they attack heavily at the monster in response, but it is not enough, the Navy fleet was destroyed, and all but the crew of an American Stealth Destroyer, are killed, or missing. Luckily a Soldier took a picture of the monster, and it was Titanosaurus(It is not in the original Kiryu saga by the way) An immediate emergency is ordered for all governments for a monster... I will continue later....

To compete with the Ultra-series, it seems to me that Toho might invest in bringing Zone Fighter back (not that I'm saying the Ultra-series is an unstoppable gold mine, but I digress). Maybe this time around there could be a movie each year or every other year, something along those lines (whereas for a larger scale series like Godzilla's, taking more time would make sense to me). Godzilla or Godzilla Junior could even make occasional appearances, although to be clear I would propose this is part of a different story arc and not related to LP's series or anything.
