Ah man, I LOVE the cheesiness of G2K's US dub...so bad it's good at many points.

I think Shinoda is about as good of a dub as you can get. The voice matches the character and there's very little overracting. He did a great job IMO. Katagiri has a badass though clearly over-the-top voice. Yuki and Io's voices are grating, however.

The intentionally cheesy dialogue is what makes the dub laughable or "bad" at points.

2. Godzilla vs. Megaguirus: Biting off Megaguirus' stinger, the "spike duck", and firing atomic breath into the black hole

3. GMK: Godzilla's beating heart and Godzilla hitting Baragon with his tail midair

4. X Mechagodzilla: Kiryu's arm blade, Kiryu walking through the building

5. Tokyo S.O.S: Godzilla tripping Kiryu then blasting him in the face, Godzilla biting off Mothra's leg, Godzilla attacking the submarine

6. Final Wars: Godzilla blasting off Gigan's head. Godzilla piling up Anguirus, Rodan and King Caesar at Mt. Fuji., Keizar Ghidorah absorbing G's energy

My favorite "Millennium moment" would be at the beginning of GMK, when we first see Godzilla's spines moving over the sea floor. Such an ominous moment.

Unfortunately, none come to mind for the Kiyru series. Except for Godzilla's electrical appearance in the beginning I thought they were kind of lackluster.

On the other hand, I can come up with a shitload of "HOLY CRAP WOW!!" moments from Tokyo SOS that the audience watching the film at G-Fest in 2004 absolutely ate up. The Kiryu movies aren't the strongest films but they have some incredible effects scenes and money shots.

I have to watch it again. Godzilla X MechaGodzilla was okay but I started SOS and fell asleep. I did like the Mothra scene in the clouds. I'll finish it later tonight or something. I do remember watching it when it first came on dvd and liking it significantly more than Godzilla X MechaGodzilla.

What's your favorite Millenium moment in general??? Mine's is when Godzilla shoots the Red Atomic Breath in Final Wars, followed by him beating up the pretender to the throne herself GINO! God that scene was hilarious!

When he turns Gino and the Sydney Opera House into a blazing inferno.
When Rodan cackles at the moon and the proceeds to wreck New York
When Godzilla emerges from the sea in GMK
When he destroys all three monsters
Every scene that includes Kiryu
When the military is fighting Godzilla during a storm in G X MG
When Godzilla is taking a walk through Tokyo under a red sky in Godzilla 2k
When Gigan is awakened
The fight between Godzilla and Monster X
Godzilla being able to hold back a meteor
When Godzilla kindly beats the shit out of Keizer
When Godzilla is brought down by Kiryu's triple maser after being bludgeoned by his drill.

Godzilla, Mothra, and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack:
-The hospital moment. We need more scenes of dark humor like this in the franchise.
-Godzilla's ray blasting the hell out of everything. It was a very cool special effect with the soldiers flying in the air from the impact. Reminds me of Gamera 3.

Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla:
-The entire intro sequence. I love the atmosphere and the military response. The moment when Godzilla rises from behind the reporter always puts a big smile on my face.

Godzilla Tokyo S.O.S.:
-The jet pilots encounter Mothra in the opening sequence. I just found that to be a really epic scene.

Godzilla Final Wars:
-The intro sequence. It was a really cool Godzilla retrospective, even if they got the years wrong, lol!
-Godzilla rises from his ice prison. After blasting off Gigan's head, the music gets epic as we see all the characters' faces of anticipation and finally, Godzilla roars in triumph. Beautifully composed.
-Godzilla vs. Zilla. Justice has been served.
-Godzilla and Mothra vs. Monster X and Gigan. A very atmospheric battle. It felt very apocalyptic, and Gigan's second death in the movie was also really awesome.

In GMK(2001), the scene with the mushroom cloud and when Godzilla is fighting Baragon, the reactions from Baragon during the battle of pure terror are simply amazing. It just shows how unstoppable and evil Godzilla was in that movie, imo

im 100% fine with darkness even bleakness but dark bleak cruel humor NO.
REALLY hope they stay away from such in the coming american reboot.
