Despite the less-than-stellar texturing, the moment in GMK when Ghidorah is revived and forms the spirit ball thing is amazingly shot. The sequence is given a lot of power and the film as a whole is mostly downhill from there.

oh not just that, but godzilla turning around and obliterating mothra was extremely epic, i disagree i think the parts where ghidorah and godzilla surface from the sea is very good, the give a extreme sense of concusion power to ghidorahs gravity bolts we rarely see. and the final resolution of the characters, godzilla and the ghost i felt was all greatLegionmaster wrote:Despite the less-than-stellar texturing, the moment in GMK when Ghidorah is revived and forms the spirit ball thing is amazingly shot. This is actually that rare case where the problematic effects actually do significant harm to the moment for me. Because the shot is so entirely about visual spectacle, I feel like it fails in its major purpose.Legionmaster wrote:Despite the less-than-stellar texturing, the moment in GMK when Ghidorah is revived and forms the spirit ball thing is amazingly shot. I do agree that from there on in the movie is largely on a downhill slope. GMK is a movie I'd call great for about its first 60%, really good for the following 30%, and just okay for it's final 10%. Still averages out very well, but a weak ending is a very frustrating thing.
Most of my favorite Millennium moments/scenes are from the first half of GMK. Narrowing it down to just one or two probably isn't possible.
Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.

Godzilla 2000: Godzilla killing Orga and the annoying CCI guy that kept wanting dead. Then, afterwards when he started destroying the city with his atomic breath.
Godzilla Final Wars: Any scenes with Don Fye or the Xilian leader. Also, some of Godzilla's final fight against Monster X\Kaizer Ghidorah.

From G vs Megaguirus, the fight between Godzilla and Megaguirus. It had a great musical score to go with it.

Re: Favorite Millenium Moment/Scene and why
GMK:when ghidorah and Godzilla are in the same shot and ghidorah has the spinning ball of justice er whatever and godzillas dorsal fins start to charge up. It's a nice contrast, the yellow/gold and the blue. Also I love the fact that ghidorah dies THREE times and gets revived twice. If a monster dies one, let alone twice, give it up.
