If Godzilla were to decide to charge up a full atomic ray, then Kiryu could've had the chance to end him with the abz if his pilots weren't so --------, but a very strong version of the atomic breath regardless. I too love the "popping" sound of it when Godzilla is charging it up.

I think the brightness was intentional, as it could be able to blind enemy monsters/army forces so Godzilla could have an easier chance at hitting his target, and the opposing force literally wouldn't know what hit it.

Love the flashing before he unleashes his ray. I think they should have kept the slow charge for final wars.

I also love how he actually uses it to wreck havoc on Tokyo in Godzilla X Mechagodzilla which we haven't seen since Godzilla 2000.

Love this version of the Atomic Breath. It's really a rewarding thing to watch (unlike the films they appear in). The lengthy charging time is actually very appealing to me. If we would have a had a Godzilla more fond of melee combat and reserving his beam for dire situations, imagine how rewarding it would be when he used his beam if it looked like this.

Yeah visually this is the coolest charge up. But speed wise it's too slow and leaves him way open for a counterattack.

I honestly liked Godzilla 2000's better with the ominous crackle and the shimmer that forms around his mouth and spines from the heat.

Visually, GxMG/SOS was visually the best imo.

I love that charge, makes him so much more badass.
This atomic breath is really neat, especially the dorsal spine flashing.

This Godzilla's Atomic Charge is certainly unique. When he had Kiryu pinned and started charging up, it added a nice layer of suspense to the action, suspense that couldn't be had had it been another Godzilla.

Oh, and Godzilla roaring in the heart of a tsunami, spikes pulsating brightly as lightning strikes flashes around him, is one of the coolest moments in the entire series.

That thumping sound as it's charging is just plain kickass. It really serves to drive home that something bad is about to happen.

And the beam itself delivers on that, too. It had some force behind it, to send Kiryu flipping end-over-end like it did.

This has to be meh FAVORITE atomic blast charge up. The thumping noise is so satifying (spell check) and it looks so cool. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the blue in the fins goes away after Godzilla discharges his ray.
