GTSOS Mothra on Kiryu or Godzilla's side?

Who's side is Mothra on in the movie? The fairies said Mothra would be an enemy of humans if Kiryu was launched, but in the battle it looks to me like Mothra was helping Kiryu. Who's side was Mothra really on?

I believe she was on Kiryu's side since she help out on fighting Godzilla.

But if Mothra died because of fighting Godzilla and aiding Kiryu, and then Kiryu managed to defeat Godzilla; would the humans have stoped using Kiryu? Maybe the larvas would become two imago Mothras and declare was to humanity...

Mothra would never defend or assist a monster killing human society, but the next Mothra could have let the robot be destroyed by another monster in a fight. In my opinion, Mothra would simply watch and wait for the robot to fail, let humans get desperate, and then move in to help.

Mothra was orginally on Godzilla's side because humanity deserved balance or something and the forgot to change from that plot on the back of the box.

Anyway it was more a 3 sided battle.

Who knows? The script never really made Mothra's role in the story quite clear. Even though she was planned from the start of the film's production, it felt (to me, at least) that she was a late addition.

It's pretty obvious that Mothra's enemy was Godzilla.

Mothra was fighting Godzilla, therefore she was Godzilla's enemy. Kiryu arrived to assist Mothra in battle, Mothra didn't do much to help though because her wings were severely damaged by Godzilla's heat ray.

She nor the fairies were exactly Kiryu's "biggest fans" as one of the major key story points were that Mothra and the fairies didn't want them using Kiryu again and wanted them returned to the sea to rest in peace.
