Why would it be assumed that Kong was eventually "killed"? Godzilla retreated, as did Kong. Anything else is just fan speculation..

On the fact that electricity is increased by water and Godzilla was weak to electricity in the film I don't know why Kong winning is so hard to go by.

Huh? I accepted that Kong won over 25 years ago. That's not something I have a hard time accepting like some people. Godzilla lost..so what? It's not a big deal, and makes a lot of sense. Godzilla was shown swimming away from him (via bubbles on the water's surface), and Kong was shown swimming back to Farou Island. Why would he suddenly turn around, and decide he wanted to keep beating Godzilla's ass?

Some of you come up with the most nonsensical shit just for the sake of conversation. It's ridiculous..

I have to agree with Goji on this one. Godz if Kong was eventually killed at sea by Godzilla why would they not show it let alone even give a hint about it? I love Godzilla, and as much as I love Toho's Kong, Godzilla has always been my number one. But I can accept that he was defeated and made a retreat and fled.

And you'd think that the actual company who created the film saying officially that Kong won would make less doubters...not more in denial fanboys.

I always find it hilarious how people try to find a way for Godzilla to win in the final battle. "Godzilla lives in water, he couldn't lose!", "Kong was running away!", "Godzilla wasn't dead in the next film!", "He probably killed Kong off later"! It's silly in my eyes for trying to shoehorn ways for Godzilla to win. Had Godzilla been the hero of the film and won, nobody would try to justify Kong winning. I love Godzilla a lot and I also love Kong too. I can easily accept Godzilla losing once in a while, especially to Kong.

If there was any sort of way that Kong didn't win, Toho would have come out and say it by now.

What Kong you talking about?

When they are in the helicopter, the guy should have said, "Do you think Godzilla is dead?"
"Well, I sure as hell hope so, I lost over 4 houses to that @#$#@$!!"

He died at sea, he couldln't find his island and eventually drowned.

Oh, I'm not saying its canon, or even likely, just a possibility since that particular Kong didn't seem to mesh well with the KKE one for me.

My ONLY issue is the assumption that Godzilla not surfacing automatically means he lost. Does that mean Rodan/Godzilla lost in Monster Zero?

The version of Kong in KKvG and the version in KKE are two separate versions. Two separate characters.

You don't have to be dead to lose a fight. Yes I do think Godzilla & Rodan lost in Monster Zero. They don't have to necessarily be dead to lose. I don't think Godzilla was dead at the end of KKvG but he did lose that particular fight and the one in Monster Zero either that or Ghidorah fled.

He's talking about Toho's version of Kong in KKvG. And how can you say he died at sea? That kind of seems like something they would show on film if it happened...ya know instead of the company that made the movie saying officially Kong won.
