How come Anguirus was not in the Heisi series?

I didn't say it was "proof". He was right that Anguirus had his own song. Though from what I can tell, Anguirus is fairly popular among Godzilla fans.

I would have love seeing Anguirus in the Heisei series, maybe in Godzilla vs Mecha-Godzilla 2. The Anguirus in GFW definately has the looks for the Heisei series.

Oh, it's definitely possible, and I've seen it. Mostly retarded paleo-fans that are ranting whether he is an ankylosaur or a crocodile(though they don't really count as most of the ones I've met hate kaiju in general). Then there are also the twelve year olds who complain about him now having a beam and being "boring".

Anguirus is popular with his fans, but all monsters have their fans. Monsters that are generally popular are more likely to be in a film, like Mothra or Ghidorah.

Personally, I'm glad Anguirus wasn't given a Hesie treatment. A beam shooting Anguirus takes away some of his character.

One theory I had behind the new hinged/lifting shell it that Heisei Anguirus could have fired spikes.
