Well the thing is, that would never happen. An "army" of kaiju would most likely attack SG head on, not ask him to lead them. Kaiju just aren't that smart.

Another thing that should be considered, are the kaiju Bloodlusted? That could make a huge diffrence in the outcome.

I wouldn't say that exactly, save for Destoroyah. I'd say most kaiju are just really aggressive.

Im gonna cite Arbiter Ripa Moramee as an example. In Halo Wars, Ripa is much like Spacegodzilla who fights to cause extreme pain rather than to kill, and ultimately this lead to his demise over what would otherwise have been an easy kill. If Ripa was Bloodlusted, he'd throw his cocky nature out the window and do everything in his power to kill his enemy, as the link above states. (That and the fact that hes psychotically violent by default)

If both Kaiju where Bloodlusted, I'd say Destroyah would utilize his abilities to a much deadlier effect. No torso shots with the laser horn.

Freddy Kruger probably wouldn't die as often as he does if he just killed them already. But that's just not his style.

In some ways fighting Destroyah is worse because he doesn't want to give you any breathing space, he attacked a mourning Godzilla. Spacegodzilla would have just sat there and laughed at his salty tears.

Regardless of whether Destoroyah can defeat SG, SG has more power at his disposal.

My apologizes, I should not have said "damage". What I should have said was something more along the lines of "Here's the size of the explosion" or "Here's what the beam does".

Besides what Tom said, you are ignoring the different perspective we are witnessing the explosions from. The scene from Godzilla vs Destroyah is from the side. The view from the other picture is with the beam hitting the ground right in front of where the camera would be.

But yeah I think it depends on the circumstances. Spacegodzilla is pretty strong in physical fights but he prefers long range blasting and Destroyah will keep knocking him to the ground. And keeping him at bay will only work for so long before he decides to break up into his smaller forms and ambush him that way.

Possibly, but Destroyah is still a ridiculously durable kaiju. He took multiple spiral beams that would have killed or at least crippled most other Heisei kaiju, yet he was still in good enough health to fly away.

This may sound kinda stupid but it's like a Rocket Launcher vs a Sniper Rifle. The Spiral Ray is hot (obviously) and does widespread damage like a Rocket Launcher, which is why Godzilla was able to make Destroyah literally vomit his own blood and blow off chunks of him, and ultimatly make him retreat. The Corona Ray is more like a Sniper Rifle and only does damage to the specific area you aim it at.

Basically what I'm trying to say is even if Spacegodzilla's ray is hot, it just doesnt dish out the amount of heat/widespread damage in one shot like the Spiral Ray does in order to make Destroyah retreat.

The Corona beam lacks the widespread damage/explosive power of the Spiral ray, and thus wont be able to damage him as much as Godzilla did. That and as SimeonAssasin posted, Destroyah's body can possibly form countermeasures against it. Destroyah can fly too, so flying and corona spamming will make little diffrence.

Okay so how about a dogfight between the two of them? It seems like Final Form Destoroyah is less maneuverable in the air than SG (who successfully navigated an asteroid field... I don't have to tell you the odds). However, if he chooses his more agile Flying Form won't he be more vulnerable?

Asteroid Fields are actually more spacious then films would like you to believe, most of these space rocks are miles apart.
