I'd rather have Ghidorah, which the Gryphon was supposed to be before Toho said no.

^I know, but the Gryphon is made up of several monsters, and that's why i think he is perfect for a reboot. Also i think KG is to hard to explain for a reboot or maybe I'm wrong?

He hatches from a meteor. And he's Godzilla's archenemy. We've never seen him in an American movie before. I don't think they should be afraid of using him.

I couldn't find a thread about what I'm about to ask, and since we are posting about him. Does King Ghidorah have an origin story? And yes i know this is off topic, and I'm to lazy to make a thread.

Yep.

I prefer to pretend that they are bluffing. I think the idea of King Ghidorah's origins as being almost as old as the universe itself is far more intimidating.

I really wish they did do Stan Winston's Godzilla design, twas more faithful to what the character looked like, and the original script, despite his origin, i thought was as close as we could possibly get for a good American Godzilla film. I'd say have them use the original script for the new LP movie, but we kinda already have that in Gamera Guardian of the Universe.

^ This. It makes Godzilla look "realistic" while staying faithful to the character.

Have a Godzilla-saurus or non mutated Godzilla frozen in the ice and then a modern day atomic bomb testing in the artic not only awakens him but mutates him as well. How bout that?

also anyone else want a toy company to make a figure of the Stan Winston Godzilla? I wonder if thats possible?

I would like to see the Gryphon appear in a film one day. And Stan Winston's Godzilla design is too cool to drop. Upgrade it alittle(like this online comic about this film I saw), and it would look great in almost any Goji film.

I'm not sure if I would have preferred it, considering the movie doesn't exist.

When I think of Godzilla fighting another monster a Gryphon is not what comes to mind. I would really need to see the design before I would want to see a movie like that.

The script exists. And it read a helluva lot better than Godzilla looked at times. Mostly with the monster fighting and all.

I haven't read the script.

Even so, a movie can have a good script and still suck. I haven't seen any of Jan de Bont's films, and I have no way of knowing if he would have put out a better product.

Well, we can't compare movies but we can compare scripts.
