Like spelling Godzilla with a capital G. :P

I did that on purpose to save some time. I was on a mobile device and I was kinda in a hurry.

I think keeping all of these other Kaiju out kept the Heisei series from looking like a backyard wrestling match.

I voted for Anguirus, because it'd be interesting to see how Toho would use him. As long as Toho don't make him a beam spammer, give him a sonic roar & a rolling attack then that should be fine.

Still be better then just boring old bump fests and beam spams.

I think Gigan could have been tied into vs. King Ghidorah. If anything they could have put Anguirus in Return of Godzilla, would have been a neat touch.

RETURN OF GODZILLA was meant to be Godzilla's return to form. If any other monster were to be added, it would have been the original version of Bagan. How would you have integrated Anguirus into the version of ROG that we eventually got? I'm just curious as to how that would work, other than it "sounds cool".

King Ghiodrah wasn't a space monster in VS. KING GHIDORAH, so adding Gigan would be nonsensical unless his origin was rewritten. I suppose you could have had him built by the Futurians..but then what would they have needed King Ghidorah for if they already had a monster to battle Godzilla?

Near the end of ROG the high frequency sound lours Godzilla to Oshima Island. The sound could have also attracted Anguirus and the two kaiju brawl and eventually they both fall into the volcano.

To work in Gigan, I would add a portion to the film. The movie steps into the future where Godzilla has destroyed much of the world. As a last ditch effort the bio-weapon Gigan is sent out to do battle with Godzilla. After Gigan is defeated Emmy has the idea to go back in time and make Mecha King Ghidorah.

Or maybe add a scene to the part of the film where the Futurians are warning Japan's leaders that Godzilla will turn Japan into a nuclear graveyard. While they are explaining the situation have a scene set in 2204 where Godzilla does battle with Gigan in a demolished city.

So Anguirus would have essentially been 'tacked on', and would have only appeared at the end? Eh...I don't know man.

Regarding the '91 film, who would "send out" Gigan? Who would he have been created by, the Futurians?

Well Godzilla 2000 did a similar thing with Orga and it worked out okay. As for adding Gigan, yes the Futurians would have created him.

Not really. Orga was basically the U.F.O., which is seen plenty throughout the film.

I voted for Gigan.

Gigan doesn't even need to be sent out, just find him buried under ice in the Arctic or something as a left over from aliens and humanity accidentally wakes him up when they try to dig him out.

Design wise it might look cool (hey Goji and Bio looked awesome) but mobility wise it'd be pretty lame since he probably wouldn't be able to move fast on land, just in the air.

Hedorah is the only creature that would have worked in the Hesei era in my opinion. Pollution has always been an issue, and Hedorah is the best film commentary for that.
