Best Hesei Mech

I'd choose the Super X3. Unlike the previous Super Xs, it successfully merged the look of a stealth fighter with the armament of a tank. It was a good design, and also had a rousing musical score.

I also liked the time ship. It was well designed.

Sadly, this will probably just turn into a favorite's thread since so many people have trouble distinguishing their favorite from what is actually the "best" (unless, of course, they happen to be the same).

The "best" in terms of actual performance is probably the U.N. Mechagodzilla, with the Super X-III behind. The first two Super X's were (overall) pretty ineffective against Godzilla. The 3rd one (as dumb as it may look) was at least capable of freezing Godzilla for a set period of time. That alone is more effective than what either of the previous ones were capable of.

You're starting crap before crap even starts.

I guess Super Mechagodzilla would be the best, but he lacks a personality the original and Kiryu clearly have. He's just a big Godzilla shaped tank.

"Super" Mechagodzilla was probably the best, I should have specified. While all he really gained were the Garuda's extra fire power (which probably wasn't much), additional fire power is generally not a bad thing when it comes to mech's. Unless we consider attachments that may be too heavy, hampering performance, like Kiryu v2.'s blade-arm..thingie.

Moggy. SMG may have succeeded in killing Godzilla, but that's because he was specifically designed to do so. MOGUERA packs comparable firepower while also being much more versatile.

In terms of most successful I would say MechaGodzillaII, then SuperX-III, though Im still amazed at how strong such small machine like SuperX-III was.

My personal fav i MGII who i also thought was most effective. Second place is a tie between MKG and the Super X3. Mogueras dead last.

The best would probably be defined by most successful. And the most successful would without a doubt be Super MechaGodzilla. Came darn close to killing Godzila and killed Rodan. The other mechs were never able to succesfully kill a kaiju, but a few did manage to come close.

yeaaaaaaaaaaaah suuuurrrrre.

Anyways, it is hard to describe what exactly makes a mech good/best, but in terms of success, it is the Super X-3 (followed by SMG), whilen in terms of quality, SMG comes first. In terms of power, I'd give it to SMG as well, though like in the 'most balanced mech' thread, I don't want to turn this into an FM.

Most successful by default is the SXIII. It's the only one that WASN'T destroyed.

^And the only one who succeeded in both of his missions (freezing Godzilla and then Destroyah).

MGII got trashed on their first encounter, then again at the final battle. MOGUERA got taken out with almost no defense in his first outing against SG, got pretty well beaten up throughout the film (even if he held his own). The first two Super X's were pretty useless, MKG... yeah, no.

Strictly speaking from favoritism, I'd say the original Super-X. Just a simple, neat little flying hover-tank. Haven't seen the Super-X 2 in action, but from what I've seen it's also pretty cool. The Super-X III is to much like a standard plane for my taste.

Super X-Mission: kill Godzilla-Status: Failure. Destroyed.
Super X II-Mission: kill Godzilla-Status: Failure. Destroyed.
Mecha King Ghidorah-Mission: kill Godzilla-Status: Failure. Destroyed.
Garuda-Mission: kill Godzilla-Status: Failure. Destroyed.
Mechagodzilla-Mission: kill Godzilla/Fire Rodan-Status: Failure. Destroyed.
MOGUERA-Mission: kill Godzilla/Spacegodzilla-Status: Failure. Destroyed.
Super X III-Mission: minimize damage from Godzilla's inevitable death/kill Destoroyah-Status: Success.

There you go. All their mechanized kaiju killer weapons. Second best would be MKG by these standards, as at least it brought Godzilla way out to sea and itself remained mostly intact. Third is MOGUERA, who at least helped a great deal in the defeat of Spacegodzilla. Mechagodzilla only gets ranked fourth for dealing a death-blow to Fire Rodan, which is actually what prevented it from succeeding in its mission. Good job, UNGCC, dropping the ball on that one. Every other one is small potatoes.

Actually it didnt kill Godzilla, it only lessened the damage that Godzilla's meltdown would have caused.

Irrelevant. Godzilla still died. I should probably ammend that mission goal to "minimize destruction resulting from Godzilla's death" as at no time was it supposed to kill him, just stop him from destroying the planet.

Effectiveness/success-wise, the Super X-III, but either Super-Mechagodzilla or M.O.G.U.E.R.A. is my favorite.

I don't know if you are acting stupid or something.....

In any case, SMG IS my favourite Heisei mech. But I explained how he was more dangerous with logic. Even if the logic was flawed, I wasn't using favourititsm as you seem to imagine.

or you just simply hate my guts.

Guts? Not the word I would put it.

I could care less either way
