Biollante is without a doubt the best achievement in special effects the japanese Godzilla films have ever had. Excellent puppet detail and movement combined with the appropriate photography -- gives out the proper sense of scale and organic mass. Superb creature

Ha, yes! I completely agree. Great sense of distance and the compositing is very well done. The film's finale is generally stupendously shot, as is the first Biollante-Rose scene. The careful lighting really sold those sequences
