I gave you a hypothetical example of a situation in which an opinion can be wrong. Not that I should have had to, because everyone should be able to understand that.

If your opinion is "practical effects are better than cgi," then that's fine.
But if your opinion is "practical effects will always be better than cgi because they're practical," then you are simply wrong.

I mean, yeah, bad cgi looks fake as Hell, but do you know what else does? BAD PRACTICAL EFFECTS. skreeonk' duh.
Straw man argument. I never said practical effects will always be better.

Yeah, but from the way you talk, you seem to believe that very strongly. We would not be having this conversation otherwise.
Oh, God, so we're arguing because you telepathically figured out what I actually believe? I think where CGI is RIGHT NOW as an effect its use must be limited but I'd be more than happy if it reaches a point where I can't even tell CGI is on screen.

Yeah, you said Gamera was better, you COULD be right, off the top of my head I feel like we're talking similar levels of good effects or at least close enough to make this argument silly.

Well, 2000, my trees were in another forest, try again.

The Heisei Gamera Films make the 90s Godzilla Films look like sleazy 70s porn when it comes to story, production value and thought out into them
