Why does it appear that some of the people are either sad, or guilty when Godzilla falls into the volcano?
P.S. Who else thinks that Godzilla's final roar in the U.S. version is out of place?

Agreed, but it is in THE RETURN OF GODZILLA silly.![]()
I'm just ragging ya man, I knew what you meant (I realize a lot people refer to the Japanese version as THE RETURN OF GODZILLA, since there are already two other films with the title GODZILLA). The scream actually is present in the international version (titled THE RETURN OF GODZILLA). The Japanese version is the only one of the three versions that doesn't have it.
Tamura has a theory that the mono mix of the Japanese version may include it (based on reports of people who saw it theatrically in Japan, and remember hearing the scream), though since the mono mix was never released on home video, there isn't anything to go by other than stories from people.
