That's probably because it was so much more straight-forward and better written.

With Time Travel, it's best to either establish really well the rules and logistics of how time travel in your world works or just role with it in a quick and dirty comic book fashion.

GvsKG sits in an awkward middle ground where it establishes rules and doesn't really apply or stick to them very well, while RoMIII just roles with it and goes with the second option quite well.

Shouldn't it be 'rolls'? :-P

I totally get what you mean though.

As in, a villainous King Ghidorah that kills planets and skreeonk shit up.

"The Little Orochi Who Could" doesn't really fit into that category.

I see. In that regard, only Showa and Grand fit the bill. Speaking of which, Grand Ghidorah's theme is very nice. The scores for this trilogy often gets overlooked because of how bad the films are. I even like the variations on Mothra's song.

ROM 2 is no classic, but it's not that bad. It has a good music score.

A good score simply isn't enough to save it, my friend.

To some, I may sound like a broken record, but I still believe that REBIRTH OF MOTHRA 2 is Toho's worst SPX film of all time, and I've seen about 90% of them (with the others being disaster flicks, which I know for a fact aren't bad in the slightest).

Agreed 100%. Rebirth of Mothra 2 is absolute shit with little to no redeeming factors. All three of these movies are terrible.

I may have to drop MOTHRA 3 down another point. The more I think about the plot, the less it makes sense.

Why does Belvera suddenly seem to be "good"?
Why did she want to keep all the gems for herself?
What on EARTH is the Elias Triangle supposed to DO???

Oh, and for the record, I can't stand the fairies outfits. They get more ridiculous with each movie.

Not as awesome as your avatar.

But yeah... I find these films utterly unwatchable.

I wouldn't be surprised. You're not within the intended age range; if you were, I'd have to get you banned. Sit some 5 year old in front of a screen playing these movies, and they'll probably sit and watch.

My third sentence in that post was gonna be " because I'm not a child" but I didn't want to seem like a douche. But that's really kind of "it", isn't it?

Hey, I never claimed that I wasn't a child. Don't let the beard fool you.

Now excuse me while I watch Mothra 3. :P
