It was weird to actually hear your voice.

Anyway, how many have signed up yet? I've never seen this, but it always sounded interesting to me. It would be cool to see this on DVD/Blu-ray. I'm in; the link is in my sig!

Definitely need more than that. I'll try to put something in on Monsterland as well. There aren't that many active users, but just maybe somebody will show interest.

Might as well. Even if it's just two more people that's two more people to spread the word and get more fans attention.
I just PM'd the administrator for permission, and he's usually around two or three times a day. If I ever get on at KP, I'll try it there too.

@ Legion, question: There's only about twenty people "signed" up. Wouldn't it be better if we got more people before we started sending letters? If the receive twenty letters over a two-week span, and then don't receive any for another month, it seems to me they'll forget about it. I'm not a business man, but that's the way I looked at it.

Good point. Just send 'em at some point of you ask me. No need for all the specific "do it now." I mean, if we were to set a date, I'd probably go with it, but what therealmccoy and Legion said makes some sense to me.

The thing of it is, there absolutely HAS to be more people interested. Somebody will be more inclined to take part in this of their own free will if they see that thirty or forty people are doing it. The only people doing it right now, to my knowledge, are the people participating in this discussion. Well, I just kind of drifted in here. Maybe others will, as well. But people aren't going to waste their time with it if nobody's doing it. And Shout! or Media Blasters aren't going to look at twenty letters and take us seriously.

Also, I think the title of this thread should be changed to suggest this is what we're trying to accomplish. Either that or make a completely brand new one and start over from scratch.

I totally agree with Legion here. Studios told me that petitions are usually ignored, and sending 20 (or more) letters in a short amount of time won't do much better. The way Legion suggested would be much more effective than what you're trying to do.

That, and I've said it already, but I think I might PM him and ask if he'll change the name of the thread. Something like "Get Zone Fighter on DVD".

I remember hearing something about a location in Japan where a lot of the people there speak English, and all the dvds there have English subtitles. I don't believe it myself, but can anyone else officially prove or disprove it?
You know, Darth Vader cannot be Luke Skywalker's father. They don't have the same last name.

It's partially true a lot of people do speak English in Japan but most domestic DVDs in Japan don't feature English subs, there's a few exceptions to the rule most notably the first isue of the Showa Gamera DVDs with the exception of "Super Monster", if you bought the Heisei Trilogy in boxset form then GOTU, G2 and G3 had subs and finally The X From Outer Space has an English dub on its disc.

I'd like to see Zone Fighter, but I'm more interested in seeing more of the Ultra Series. I've actually messaged Tsuburaya Prod. via their English site, asking about possible US releases. I haven't gotten a response, though.

I'd love to see more Ultra series released over here too but sadly I don't think we will for awhile for one thing Tsuburaya went back to court against Chaiyo and for another they wheren't to thrilled with BCI licensing Ultraman from Chaiyo.

Yeah, I'd give my first born virgin daughter to see an Ultra Seven release.
