Did you follow the instructions exactly to insert them ? You probably accidentally deleted the audio files or disabled them .
When I open the file, it asks to open or save, I save to my desktop. It takes a second to download. When I open the file and hit play, every plays fine except no volume. I'm not sure where to go to find the audio files to see if I deleted or disabled them. All I want is to watch it on my laptop, that is all. I'm curious too if anyone else has had the same problem with a newer computer.
So it's for desktop use?
Did the video files play the volume before they had the subtitles with them ? The common problem with encoding or ripping DVD media is that people accidentally do not include the audio itself or the encoder itself was glitched. Did you dl them from the net or rip them? It's far better to just rip the film whole ,aside from feeling good that you supported the official release, by yourself using software such as Handbrake than depending on the inconsistent quality that is offered on the internet that way you can control it.
Please give me more details , like if you're playing the disc's raw file's outright or if they are encoded. If it's the former, find a program that will play the folder , which will play the DVD's files as if they were the actual disc. But if it's the latter and if you have the disc, rip it again . If not , buy it and rip it.
Are your speakers working? Sometimes the sound driver screws up on Windows related hardware where you would have to do a MacGuyver to it. If they are working , then the video files are corrupt and you should scan your computer for viruses and other malwares.
But what computer and Operating System (Mac or Windows, version?) do you have?
This could be a software problem from what I can gather, but I need more info.
