How can we know what The Return of Godzilla's colours are supposed to look? Every version I've seen has a completely different tone. Toho HD looks way too yellow/brown at times. MonstersHD while more natural, looks too blue in some scenes (mostly the nighttime footage), and the Hyper lasers don't look so red.

I think the colors on the MHD version look about accurate, when you consider that the US version's prints were in Technicolor, which doesn't fade, and going by other MHD transfers, they're more trustworthy when it comes to color than Toho Video, who is consistently mediocre in that respect (don't get me wrong, their GHIDORAH, BIOLLANTE, and SPACEGODZILLA HD transfers are almost perfect). The Toho HD version actually looks extremely blue during one scene (the meeting between the Japanese, US and Soviets). That doesn't happen very often in Toho transfers. Plus, the UK tape of G84 has similar color to the MHD transfer.

The "Technicolor that doesn't fade" that you are thinking of is the Technicolor dye-transfer printing process (sometimes also referred to as Technicolor IB), which was discontinued in the USA in about 1974, with a short lived revival from 1997-2001. "Godzilla 1985", although the prints may have been printed at Technicolor's labs, was certainly not printed in dye-transfer. In any case, the process used for the release prints wouldn't tell one anything about the color of a video transfer anyway, as film-to-video transfers or scans are generally not done from release prints, and the actual grading/timing of the color and contrast would be in the hands of the colorist.

I have one European video release which favors a greenish hue in most scenes. This release also wasn't matted as much as others so when the JSDF soldier is on fire, you can clearly see the top and bottom of the backdrop screen he was filmed in front of!

Anyway, more DVD releases neither the DVD companies nor the fans will be able to produce because nothing meets Toho's approval unless the former's DVDs end up being R2 clones and because the latter is completely unable to cooperate with the hoarders who make museums out of their homes whilst showing completely unwarranted self importance in their posts:

GODZILLA VS. MOTHRA

Disk 1:
-Transfer of the print Sony used for their HD transfer
-Japanese and international versions (plus maybe an extended version) through seamless branching
-Japanese stereo plus English mono and a remixed English stereo track based on the Japanese stereo
-Isolated score
-International trailer and any other international materials, including materials from the film's release in non-US territories
-Audio gallery of miscellanea
-All extras featured on the R2
-Any promotional materials not on the R2

Disk 2:
-Same specifications as disk 2 of KING GHIDORAH, plus the TV special

GODZILLA VS. MECHAGODZILLA

Disk 1:
-Transfer of Sony's print of the international version
-Japanese, international and extended versions through seamless branching
-Isolated score
-International trailer(?) and any other international materials, including materials from the film's release in non-US territories
-Audio gallery of miscellanea
-All extras featured on the R2
-Any promotional materials not on the R2

Disk 2:
-Same specifications as disk 2 of KING GHIDORAH

GODZILLA VS. SPACEGODZILLA

Disk 1:
-Same specifications as MECHAGODZILLA's disk 1

Disk 2:
-Same specifications as MECHAGODZILLA's disk 2, minus the Ifukube scoring video

GODZILLA VS. DESTROYER

Disk 1:
Same specifications as SPACEGODZILLA's disk 1, but with the CNN report and Godzilla's "funeral"

Disk 2:
Same specifications as MECHAGODZILLA's disk 1

GODZILLA 2000: MILLENNIUM

Disk 1:
-Japanese and international versions through seamless branching from a transfer resembling Sony's DVD of the US version or something slightly better
-International trailer(?) and materials
-Isolated score
-All of the best extras from the R2 set

Disk 2:
-US theatrical version, with cheezy "THE END...?" title restored. Either from Sony's original DVD transfer or a new, better one.
-Audio commentary by Schlesinger and friends
-Trailers and tv spots for the film's US theatrical and home video releases
-Photo gallery of materials having to do with the US version
-Either an isolated score or an audio gallery and guide to the newly created music cues from the US version

GODZILLA VS. MEGAGUIRUS - GODZILLA: FINAL WARS

Disk 1:
-Japanese and international versions seamlessly branched using mainly the Sony transfers
-International trailer(?) and materials
-Isolated score
-Some extras from the R2, including trailers and promotions

Disk 2:
-Best of the rest of the R2 extras

Do you mean Baradagi?

And sets like these would be incredible, even if they were bootlegs. God knows a fan or group of fans with enough dedication could do something great.

I am absolutely astonished at the bootlegs some hardcore fans have made of shows like the 60s BATMAN series, MST3k and BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD. The vast majority of my ideas for the Godzilla series are realistic and can be done just as well, if not better than the DVDs of those shows, if a band of fans got together and tried such an undertaking. The hardest part is finding a translator, non-VHS material such as 16mm and 35mm prints for the English versions and a means of transferring said material, as almost everything else is out in the open (trailers, Japanese HD transfers, R2 commentaries, etc.).

Finding a translator sounds like the hardest part. One, because it depends if a person is willing to translate for free or not and two if a person actually fluent in Japanese or not.

If I can become the best friend of several members of Hi no Tori, then the subtitles wouldn't be a problem and would also be of a very high quality (they did a great job on DAIGORO VS. GOLIATH).

I was trying to find that in the cutting room section it seemded like they sayed something like that. Well even if that's the case the photos or if anything exist of it would be cool to see. I do wonder if this might be the same case as the deleted scene from Godzilla 1954.

Anyways, I though I might as well finish my list with all the other films that I didn't put on my list above despite the fact that none of the others have International versions of course most of the Millienuim films didn't have edited dubs so anyways. Before I begin I think they need to add the logos to edited dubs on my list though however most of you probably get where I'm coming from on like for KKVSG, EHOTD, DAM, GVSH, GVSG, GVSM, GVSMG etc.

Godzilla 1954:

Colorized Italian dubbed version (Titled Coszilla I think is what it's called also with removable English subtitles.)
Audio Commentary with (Idk)

Itlian Trailer (If it exist that is.)

Godzilla Raids Again:
Disc 1 (DVD)
Uncut Japanese Version (With removable English subtitles.)
Extras:
Photo Gallery
Theatrical Trailer
Art Gallery
Poster Slideshow
Disc 2 (Blu-Ray)
Ryder Sound edited English dub (Could either have the regular Godzilla Raids Again title card or Gigantis the Fire Monster which ever is easier to get ahold of.)
Audio Commentary with (Idk)
English Trailer

Mothra vs. Godzilla:
Disc 1 (DVD)
Titra Studios edited English dub (Titled Godzilla vs. the Thing.)
Photo Gallery
Theatrical Trailer
Art Gallery

Art Gallery
Poster Slideshow
Deleated Scenes (Rodan from Mount Aso, Godzilla's Landing, and King Ghidorah's Rampage.)
Disc 2 (Blu-Ray)
Continenital edited English dub (Titled Ghidrah: the Three Headed Monster. Also have the oprint cleaned up by doing away with the brief Toho logo and putting back the Continenital logo and the original the end title card.)
Audio Commentary with (Idk)
English Trailer

All Monsters Attack
Disc 1 (DVD)
Maron films edited original dub (titled Minya: the Son of Godzilla)
Extras:
Photo Gallery
Theatrical Trailer
Art Gallery
Poster Slideshow
Disc 2 (Blu-Ray)
Uncut Japanese Version (With removable English subtitles.)
The edited home video & TV version (Titled Godzilla's Revenge)
Audio Commentary with (Idk)
English Trailer

Godzilla 2000 Millenium

Theatrical Trailer
Art Gallery
Poster Slideshow
Disc 2 (Blu-Ray)
Uncut Japanese Version (With removable English subtitles.)
Scrapped International Version (IF anything of it even still exsts.)
Audio Commentary with (Idk)
English Trailer

Alright guys that's everything in the series. Looks like I just made my own Godzilla: Final Box in my imagination. If only this set was real oh well at least it's cool to dream. However, Toho would probably want a ton of money off of this I just know it but anyways.
