Found it. Odd how the word "Biollante" is no where in the title or torrent description.

Did you download this? Hows the quality?

I think it looks great. There's no annoying pixelation, the audio is fine, and the lighting doesn't seem to be a problem as I've yet to see any obvious strings.

There is a bug in the lower right corner for each movie but it never bothered me.

I love the frigging poop out of Godzilla vs Biollante. Its my favorite plot of the hole series. When it comes to the dubbed movies, (cause I own the HBO VHS version) this is the one I felt least detached to. But Since I've been updating my collection with the official Japanese version I've dieing for this one to come out so i can enjoy it in its full glory.

Despite all that, I'm going to have to place my vote on Return of Godzilla. I've never seen it (only seen Godzilla 1985) and because it is such an altered version (My world was changed when i found out that the Russians naval officer didn't launch that nuke with his last dieing breath).

My hope is that there all coming at once when the reboot is close to release.
The dead animals in KOM are a result of high powered signals sent from aliens,to awaken the dormant monsters. Animals with similar senses are overloaded from the signal &drop dead. That way much of the world will be destroyed in prep for the invasion.

There's nothing special about the Japanese version, IMO. It's the same length as the dub and the only visual difference is a ton of annoying subtitles for everything.

Agreed. I have the VHS dub and the R2 DVD (bootleg R0). If they do do a DVD or BRD Id like the choice though..

Well, half the movie is in English, so I wouldn't say the subtitles are for everything. ;)

What I was trying to say is that since half the movie is in English, the Japanese print has embedded Japanese subtitles for all instances of English dialogue. Why any self-respecting American kaiju fan would care about them is beyond me.

Because it's pure uneditted film! It's ok to add subtitles but you must never remove! OMG that's so totally blasphemous!

Well this poll is technically pointless being that Megalon is officially happening, but nonetheless I voted RoG.

Godzilla vs Biollante will most likely get a release, but if you bothered to read the threads, theyre attempting to get a master print of Biollante before working on a release.

I think this thread should be locked and another made..... "You can chose ONE: RoG, RoG/G85 Two-Back or GvsBiollante".

I do read the threads thank you very much, but I didn't see any official confirmation, so I asked.

Return by a nose. I almost went with Biollante and, in fact, I almost think both movies should be released as a double-feature. They are not only linked tightly continuity-wise, they also stand out tonally from the rest of the Heisei series. While the 91 - 95 entries were played reasonably straight, there was still plenty of outlandish, even goofy, elements. Return and Biollante remain the only Heisei films that 'feel' like they belong with G 54, being somber, well-paced, moody, and topical in the right ratios.

I fully agree. However, when I suggested this some time ago I was made aware that two different companies have the rights to each film, so a double feature can't/won't really happen. Someone has to get the rights to both.

A double feature wouldn't work, because honestly, RETURN OF GODZILLA needs to be a 2-disk set so that we get both GOJIRA (84') and GODZILLA 1985, and hopefully some extras. Squeezing three videos tracks onto 2 DVD's would be disastrous (and almost guarantee no extras). Now a BD release on the other hand, that might work.

Then of course their are the whole rights issues. Unless Echo Bridge attempted to get ROG/G 85' (which isn't going to happen), both films would never be able to be offered together.

Good thinking on the RoG/85 idea.

Double-sided DVD. RoG/G85 on one side, GvsB on the other. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. Even if they get R1 releases, the chances of them being in the same pack? Nil.

Yeah, It doesn't matter anyway. They'll never be released together, much less by the same company.

This is how ROTG should be released:

1st disk - Japanese and International versions through seamless branching; you know what? How about just the international version with Japanese and English audio. Who cares about the Japanese subtitles? That's right, none of you. All the extras from the R2 and Blu-ray would be included along with an image gallery of foreign posters/lobby cards and the international trailer.

2nd disk - Godzilla 1985, the Monsters HD transfer, with some tweaks made so that it could be like the US theatrical version. An audio commentary, the teaser trailer, tons of tv spots and the music video. An image gallery of posters, lobby cards, the press kit, etc. Roger and Siskel's review of the film.
