For Return of Godzilla and Godzilla vs Biollante, I actually own the R2 Blu-ray discs so there's no reason for me to double dip on them, especially since Echo Bride have the rights to Biollante. Megalon however, if Media Blasters was to release a Blu-ray of it, I might get it.

I'm assuming you've made DVD-R copies of the R2's and added subs? Because otherwise, owning them isn't exactly an advantage over a (possible) upcoming release with subtitles.

I don't own any DVDs of them, only the Blu-rays. As for the subtitles, I don't really care.

I believe the original theatrical cut of Dawn was the best cut in my opinion. The extended cut felt dragged out and removed the Goblin score and the European Zombi cut while removing the funnier moments of the film had more Goblin music.

Not too get too off topic, but the Goblin score is still there, just slightly re-arranged. The "Extended cut" features additional library music that isn't heard in the theatrical version, but it cuts out very, very little of the original Goblin score. The Dario Argento version uses too many of the same Goblin themes, which really hurts it IMO, and it also cuts out most of the library tracks heard in Romero's cuts.

Argento tried to make his "ZOMBI" version more "serious" thus he removed scenes and music he felt were too comical. Oddly enough, his version has footage that doesn't exist in either the theatrical OR extended cuts!

I would totally do a version of DOTD with all the footage from the Cannes and Argento versions, but somebody beat me to it. :(

I think the first version was done by a German fan wayyy back in the 80's, or possibly even earlier (I can't remember exactly when at the moment). Fans generally refer to it as the "Ultimate cut", I believe. I think several other versions exist, but I've had very little luck tracking any of them down, and when I do, I have problems. Tamura, please PM me if you have an idea of where I can find a decent version of it.

Found it. Odd how the word "Biollante" is no where in the title or torrent description.

Did you download this? Hows the quality?

I think it looks great. There's no annoying pixelation, the audio is fine, and the lighting doesn't seem to be a problem as I've yet to see any obvious strings.

There is a bug in the lower right corner for each movie but it never bothered me.

I love the frigging poop out of Godzilla vs Biollante. Its my favorite plot of the hole series. When it comes to the dubbed movies, (cause I own the HBO VHS version) this is the one I felt least detached to. But Since I've been updating my collection with the official Japanese version I've dieing for this one to come out so i can enjoy it in its full glory.

Despite all that, I'm going to have to place my vote on Return of Godzilla. I've never seen it (only seen Godzilla 1985) and because it is such an altered version (My world was changed when i found out that the Russians naval officer didn't launch that nuke with his last dieing breath).

My hope is that there all coming at once when the reboot is close to release.
The dead animals in KOM are a result of high powered signals sent from aliens,to awaken the dormant monsters. Animals with similar senses are overloaded from the signal &drop dead. That way much of the world will be destroyed in prep for the invasion.

There's nothing special about the Japanese version, IMO. It's the same length as the dub and the only visual difference is a ton of annoying subtitles for everything.

Agreed. I have the VHS dub and the R2 DVD (bootleg R0). If they do do a DVD or BRD Id like the choice though..

Well, half the movie is in English, so I wouldn't say the subtitles are for everything. ;)
