Yeah youre kinda boned for movies here near Orlando.

You got FYE which has been shutting down stores.
Best Buy with overpriced stuff.
Walmart - a crap-shoot.
Target - HA!

Dude, Target's DVD/BD section is assssss, omg. And people think Best Buy has a bad selection.

Hell, even Barnes and Noble has a better selection that either of those places.

Ive found more DVDs and BRDs at Target then Best Buy and B&N. A majority of mine come from Walmart though. Walmart hasnt had a Godzilla title since GFW, and Target here USED to have the CM stuff.

Hmm, that's interesting. We must just have some shitty Target's around here.

I should probably specify, that Target's selection of "mainstream" titles is great, but anybody looking for anything even remotely niche is going to be very disappointed. B&N and FYE (at least in my area) have a fantastic selection of "obscure" stuff; Target and Best Buy..not so much.

It's a shame, really, because Best Buy used to have a truly killer horror section, with all sorts of niche titles. Over the years though, it's shrunk, and was then combined with the Sc-Fi section (seriously). I don't even bother shopping there for DVDs/BDs anymore.

I went to Best Buy to locate some TV on DVD and they had nothing to speak of.

When He-Man Season 1 Part 1 came out on DVD they didnt even have it unboxed yet. They had FOUR total. When All-Star Superman came out, BB had an exclusive set w/ a Superman figure. Store didnt even put any out :/

Yes, Barnes & Noble often has a good selection of obscure titles. The problem is that they're usually so pricey that I can just order it from Best Buy's site (free shipping FTW) or Target's and save money.

The last time that Best Buy actually didn't disappoint me was 2007..nearly five years ago. I went there the morning that GHIDORAH and MONSTER ZERO were released on DVD, and surprisingly, they had a ton of copies on the shelf.

Anyways..I think this topic has served it's purpose, unless mods wanna keep it open in the event that we hear something new from Echo Bridge.

Yes, I can see that. Honestly, unless it's reasonably mainstream I just order all of my movies online. Target, Best Buy, and even BN have pretty vast selections online, and many online retailers will eat the shipping cost if you spend 25 bucks or more, which works well for me at least because I buy in bulk rather than a couple movies every week or whatever.

I think we'll be getting plenty of GvB threads until an official announcement or pre-announcement is made, at which point one uniform thread would be created.

Basically to sum up what everyone is saying (off topic), is that retail stores DVD selections have been quite disappointing especially in the past 2 years. This is not a geographical issue this is happening nation wide. I get e-mails and junk mail all the Time form Best Buy wondering whay I haven't purchased anything there in so long. Well because their selection is poor. I choose to get pretty much everything on-line now because it has virtually unlimited selection, and generally better prices (why pay $25 for the average new release of a wide release DVD Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack when I can wait a few weeks and get it on amazon for $10-15?) Also since niche titles are getting so hard to find why waste gas/time going to all different stores when I can just find it on-line and have it delivered to my home? --This is the way of things. Also as much as I like having physical media, I'm sure there will be a HUGE shift in the next decade to downloading media on-line only. Kinda sad, but true.

I just made the thread because I haven't watched it in a long time, I can't watch it online without making an account or paying, and I can't seem to find an American release of GvB anywhere. I want to find it in stores some where in the future....

He's not retarded dude. You said "I can't seem to find an American release of BIOLLANTE anywhere". Well, that's because it literally doesn't exist in the U.S outside of older formats.

The U.S. VHS and LaserDisc released by HBO, Toho R2 DVD,(w/no English dubs), Japanese Blu-ray (also no English subs), R3 Chinese DVD, or bootlegs are literally your only options.

Well, those are your options. If you want to see it without paying for it, your only route is to torrent the film.

It has also been released on DVD in nearly every country in Western Europe.

Buy the VHS, then buy a bootleg on DVD.
