Will this be available in other stores, say, Barnes and Noble?

Doubtful, and even if it is I'm not sure why you'd want to buy it at B&N considering everything is more expensive there.

With that said, let's just continue discussing this release here.

Well I did look around first before I posted, but did not see it, oh well, if the MODS want to delete my thread it's fine. No big deal :D

I think the main thing is it's not a Toho film, so this thread is technically in the wrong place.

Has anyone bought this yet? I'm curious about the quality of the transfer used for this release.
I just watched the Diamond Entertainment DVD version (from the Japanese Monster Movies Collector's Edition Vol. 2) and there were many screens where the picture was so dark that most of it was undiscernible. I did try many different TV setting adjustments but this seems to be an issue with whichever print Diamond used to create the DVDs. I did read somewhere that there is a 16mm tv version that was used by some companies for VHS/DVD releases and I'm leaning to that being the reason for this. Also, it is on the same disc as Gamera vs Gyaos and I know that can affect quality also.
Godzilla & Gamera High Grade (gashapon) collector.
Looking for: spare High Grade insert papers (various sets)

As was said earlier in this thread, Gappa is not a Toho film and all the discussion about it can be found here: https://www.tohokingdom.com/forum/viewt ... 33&t=29244

I just got it yesterday at Barnes and Noble on DVD for $22.97 (with shipping). I consider that to be normal, not expensive.

UPDATE: The film came in today, but it's on DVD-R not DVD. Strange that they'd do that.
