Custom Home Media Cover Thread

Has any one made or seen a custom dvd box art online of the 1998 Godzilla movie altered to read "Zilla" on the front/spine ?
Im curious to see if any one out there has done such a thing. Knowing the fandom's feelings about the film do doubt some one has done it.

You know iv actually never heard him called Gino until very recently , probably less then a month before the new movie came out. Iv always heard and called him Zilla myself

Messing around in photoshop and had an idea of having single DVDs of Rodan and War of the Gargantuas from Classic Media
Went nuts with the healing tool XD just a mockup , might do a better quality one eventually

After finding this thread several weeks ago, I decided to start making my own covers. Now, two weeks and 21 covers later, I'm finally ready to show my results!

I dig them. Got the other 2 films from the Icons set done? Why not follow suit with the Japanese art as the front cover for Mothra? Or were you doing something a little different for the Icons set?

I actually planned on using Varan58's H-Man and Battle in Outer Space covers, which necessitated making my own Mothra cover as he never got around to posting that one. The Japanese poster fronts are for various unauthorized versions.

Some more, these ones are alternative covers for Kraken Releasing's Godzilla blu-rays.

These are just plain awesome. If I had a better quality printer, I'd probably replace the covers these originally came with. Companies should hire you to make their covers, instead of whoever makes the lame-ass covers we always get.

Some of the color schemes clash/are a touch inconsistent, and Comic Sans is a pet peeve of mine, BUT I really enjoy the creative (read: not lazy and uninspired) use of the original promotional artwork and the very nice Photoshop work on the different logos/titles. Great covers.

Thanks for all the feedback. I may alter those ones, omgitsgodzilla, after I finished the color schemes did bother me a bit.

And now for the ones I'm actually very proud of, the Heisei series. For the blu-rays, I didn't like the double-feature artwork, so I separated them with their own covers, partially inspired by the existing Biollante blu-ray:

I always found that set of artwork interesting. It's got kind of a fantasy-novel vibe to it, or like something you'd see on the side of a van.

I'm still on the fence about it, but I might do a custom cover for GMK, too, because imo the Tristar cover manages to be worse than what I could come up with.
