I'm expecting September. The shipping date will come and it'll get out, but "Godzilla vs. Megalon" isn't exactly a release more than a handful of people will clamor for.

Gaaaaahhhhh, I find it hard to be excited for this DVD release, especially since it's friggin Godzilla vs Megalon and to top it off, it has no bonus features to soften the blow.

At least this'll be a nice addition to my collection d:

Will just need Godzilla 1984 and GvB after this :D

December, from Echo Bridge off the Japanese Blu-Ray. Already confirmed.

Yes, RoG/G85 needs to be done.

You'd be surprised. It's definitely more popular than FINAL WARS. Maybe not with the prepubescent crowd, but that's beside the point.

Well, I placed an order on Amazon about a week ago, and it still says that it should ship on the 14th.

We'll see, though.

So MB posted that they enjoyed watching the DVD?

That's like a McD's exec saying they enjoyed eating a Big Mac.

Worthless corporate info.

^I think the bigger point of that post was to show that the DVD existed. It was meant to address concerns that MB might not release it.

You're not going to buy it anyway, so I don't see why you give a shit.

I just wanted to let people know that pressed versions do exist, and that it's likely to make street date.

Showing a picture of a DVD means nothing. I can make one myself.

I dont believe people are still believing anything MB is saying/posting.

Dont believe anything until the DVD makes it way into a member's hand and they post here or is found on a shelf at Target, Walmart, Krogers, Best Buy or FYE .

Wtf do you even mean by this?

You're just a (no offense) nobody on a forum. What's the point of pointing out it's something you can "do yourself" since you're not the one distributing the DVD? Nobody cares that you have that ability, wataru.

A picture of a DVD is not proof the DVD is actually in existence. I could make a DVD-R and slip sleeve. Doesnt mean it exists in mass production. And MB has a record of lying.

To be honest, I dont expect to find this at any B&M retail store. I expect it to be available online only. If anyone sees this physically in a store I would love to hear about it.

Not yet. Media Blasters sometimes sends me copies, but not until after the DVD has shipped.

I am talking with them about doing a GODZILLA VS MEGALON DVD giveaway on SciFi Japan, though...

I haven't even seen this "version" (Toho's HD master), technically, but I already know that yours is better because I've seen it. 8-) I expect the colors to be all sorts of skreeonk up on this release.

It came in handy big time during the drinking game at G-Fest. I think if we had thrown on one of the fugly unauthorized releases, people would have tuned out. People really praised the color correction, especially.

You're not going to see this at Walmart, Target, or Krogers. And the way Best Buy and FYE have been stocking their shelves, it's a slim chance you'll find it their either.

Some minor complaints about the cover art design...

Why is Gigan represented on the small side profile pic above DVD Video when it should be the title characters, Godzilla or Megalon. Also, the Godzilla and Megalon letter font look cheap compared to the font they used for the Destroy All Monsters release.

At least they remembered to include the small side profile pic this time, since the Destroy All Monsters box lacked any.
