...So, is that cover art the definitive final product?

To be honest, I like it less the more I look at it. I don't think it properly portrays the film as the grand sci-fi spectacle it is.

I have all the DVDs that I want so far (except Godzilla vs the Sea Monster) and Godzilla vs. Biollante which is the only Godzilla movie I have never seen. I have a bootleg copy of Godzilla 85.

So I am really looking forward to owning this one on DVD.

Someone needs to contact Echo Bridge and tell them to change the cover art!

^ Its really not that bad. But if you read earlier in the post mxg744 did state he would suggest perhaps a reversable cover, I think that is more than considerate. But if it dosen't happen, the cover still should not deter anyone from purchasing the movie.

From what I have read of it I do think I will like it. GMK is one of my all time favorite Godzilla movie.

I can't remember, is this release going to include the English dub? Cause my bootleg of the English dub has bad audio problems so I will be so happy to have it replaced. And my Japanese language boot. I won't throw them away(that's like throwing money away to me), but I'll likely never watch them again.

I've only seen the film 3 times, but I liked it enough. Was disappointed with the final fight since it didn't have a winner nor a tie. Was just... interference. And short. Godzilla steals the show in that movie but it's probably one of my more favorite of the Heisei era.

The cover art's fine. It's a nice homage to the silly Sony covers for the 90s films.

You threw your money away the second you bought the bootleg.

How exactly? It's more then likely he bought the bootleg because the rights hadnt gone to EB. Ive had my GvsB bootleg for like 6 years. I wont buy it again (because I have it backed up on my external drive) but buying a bootleg when there's no legit US release and the Japanese disc has no subs and costs 4-5x as much as a US market DVD isnt 'throwing money away'.

Well, if one is going to pirate something, the more cost-conscious method would be to just BitTorrent it or something, but if one (like me) likes to have a physical disc and case on a shelf, and lacks the equipment, ability or motivation to burn a disc and print a case, bootlegs are a pretty decent option, if they're reasonably priced.

You can buy an external DVD-R for like $50-60 new. I stopped using DVD-Rs in 2/11 when I got my 2TB external drive (which now has 14GB left on it). You can watch downloaded stuff on a USB drive through an XBOX 360.

I popped in a EB DVD today and remembered something I didn't like about their DVDs- the menus. They look like something you would get off a DVD-R program. Please, try to be a little more creative with GvB's menu.

Cover art really isn't that important. Menus are even less important.

True, but it's part of the overall package. I own a few of Echo Bridge's multiple-film packs of Asylum movies and I can understand the generic menus for those, but the stand-alone release of Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus has that design too. It kind of implies that those in charge of the release didn't really care about the material enough to put together more than some cover art for the case.

But doesn't the care and effort placed into the movie itself, matter more than the menus or cover art? After all, that is what your paying for.
Even a poorly wrapped gift wouldn't matter so long as the actual present inside is in great condition without any problems.

So even though its part of the overall package, if the menus bare little effort invested within them, no one won't really mind. Since again, all that really matters in the end is the film itself. If that's cared for and treated poorly then the entire ship sinks.
