anyone know of any mammals or other non Dinos that can blend in with the jurassic world? Currently I have an elephant from the jumanji line by Lanard as a stand in for palaeoloxodon but I'm kind of stumped

yeah but ironically enough they're too "accurate" when placed next to a jp dino

Edit: something more like this, that kind of plausible but kind of exaggerated look

Safari LTD's new dinos for 2021

Image-Baryonyx
Image-Daspletosaurus
Image-New Spino

Schleich also has a handful of new figures as well.

They look alright, not bad but not great either, but that godskreeonk Mosasaur... Why does it have that row of spines on its back? But then again this is Schleich we're talking about. At least the pterosaurs look nice.

The Ceratosaurus also looks wrong. Isn't it supposed to have two short horns over its eyes and one short horn on top of its nose?

Hmmm, looking more closely at it, you're right, the placement of the horns seems kinda off. Maybe it's a perspective issue but we'll see what they look like when the toy is released. The guys at Schleich aren't particularly renowned for their accuracy.

Yeah, I thought they weren't.

Baryonyx and Daspletosaurus are gonna be cops for me. Don't have the Favorite ltd. Baryonyx, which this one invokes a lot through design and color, and visually appealing non-Tyrannosaurus tyrannosaurids are underrepresented in figure form.

That Spinosaurus is a easy buy for me.
That'll probably be it from this group because I need to save space for the CollectA Deluxe Pteranodon.

I've been sitting here for a few months now contemplating what 1/6th scale means in terms of stuff to pose with, and I just realized now that the under-the-bed storage box of original G.I. Joe action dolls that haven't seen the light of day in years are literally perfect for posing with these dinos. I cannot wait to get my hands on them.

Got mine today. These things are awesome. Pretty much an improvement on the Raptor series in all the right ways. Creative Beast can just take my wallet now.

Damn that is gorgeous. Also, nice to see the scale compared to the Raptor series.

Going to grab one of my own but torn between no money currently, spending that on another Raptor, and which one to get. Was thinking Diabloceratops but in hand pics aren't as good as I would have hoped. Maybe Taco or the "Monoclonius" 'cause Prehistoric Beast was my shit as a kid.

Here's a couple of reviews on the Diablo if that assists your decision making:

Personally I can't take the Nasutoceratops seriously with that color scheme, it reminds me vividly of something else and I can't look at it without trying to remember what that thing was.

Added in 1 minute 56 seconds:
Oh haha, wouldn't you know it BBTS finally updated that preorder arrival window to December, took them long enough.

Fwoosh's is the one that actually turned me off but I gotta say, Andy's looks much better.

Might grab it actually (especially cause then I'll have another reason to get the Lythronax ;) )

Well all the color schemes are based on actual animals so that might be why.

I know that, and I did check out the inspiration (Baja Collared Lizard) but I dunno, that's not triggering my memories. I've got a little Parasaurolophus here with a similar color scheme, yellow body with green back and red spots, so that might be it, still not positive.
