The Earth was currently in a crisis. Monsters from all over the globe, from different timelines, and even different universes have congregated to this Earth to seek out the power of the crystals that plagued the planet.
At the Global Defence Force Center, a young woman, Kenji Miku, is monitoring multiple screens with multiple monsters on them. She also has monitors displaying parts of the world that are infested with crystals, areas like Osaka and Sydney.
“Sir, the Cloverfield is proving to be a very difficult creature to deal with, Gypsy Danger has sustained major damage... Oh, it seems that Gwangi is headed towards their scuffle, he’ll provide nice aid for Gypsy, hopefully.” The woman at the monitors stated in a tired voice. Two loud beeps go off in sync as the woman looked towards a large map of the globe, two red dots blinking over New York.
The woman put her hand to her forehead as she groaned. “Good grief, now what?” Turning on a monitor that reveals a bird's eye view of New York City. “Oh good, King Kong and Zilla are patrolling the city. Perhaps they can handle whatever is heading their way, if not, I can send in Kolossus or the Gotengo to aid them.” Miku stated sardonically, silently wishing for this to end..
Meanwhile in New York.
Zilla and King Kong patrol a huge crater near the center of the city, in said crater is a large clear crystal that was radiating energy, shining through the dark skies. The mighty silverback looked down at the crystal and saw his reflection in the spire, growling at it. Kong was well aware of what the crystals could do to monsters that got drunk off of its power; all he had to do was look at those Mutants. Zilla let out a warning cry that alerted Kong, the duo standing in front of the crystal as they feel the vibrations of the earth beneath them.
Deeper into the city, buildings start to crumble down. Kong and Zilla prepare themselves for whatever was coming their way, Zilla hissing as the iguana lowered itself into a crouching position, pupils narrowing as he flexed his claws. From the debris of fallen buildings, a black stone hand erupted from pile and slowly dragged the rest of its body out of the newly created hole, raising its triple horned head high into the starry night and opening its superheated maw, bellowing out in anger, drops of broiling lava drool falling from its mouth and eating through the streets and cars below with ease.
Crawling out of the tunnel next was a pale reptilian like creature with purple spikes all over its back like a hedgehog, stepping out of the hole, the beast flexes its claws and then strokes its crystal beard with its razor sharp fingers. Sniffing the air, the pale monster snarled and looks beyond the buildings and skyscrapers, catching sight of King Kong and Zilla. Krystalak wasn't aware of who those two beings were and quite frankly he didn't care, The two were dispatched by their “father” SpaceGodzilla in order to retrieve the energy from abnormally large power crystal, Krystalak was the cunning one while his “brother” Obsidius was the brawn, a classic duo. What Kong and Zilla were doing there was none of their business.
Krystalak snaked through the man-made maze of buildings while Obsidius just cleared himself a path by walking through structure after structure, tipping skyscrapers over with his raw power. The two make it to the outskirts of the city and a couple hundred meters away from them were Zilla and Kong, standing between them, and a juicy looking source of energy. Krystalak fired a spear like crystal from his tail that landed dangerously close to the two Earth Defenders, jerking back by the sudden attack. King Kong and Zilla growled at Krystalak, who was chuckling at them.
Obsidius stepped forward and beat his chest, topping it off with a mighty roar. Obsidius then points at Kong with his rocky index finger before turning it upside down and doing the beckoning finger gesture. Kon huffed through his nose, knowing exactly what this rock monster wanted: To dance with the 8th Wonder of the World. Perhaps this golem wasn't too bright; Kong is known to rival Godzilla and can even compete with plenty of heavyweight kaiju like Orga and Destoroyah. King Kong didn't care if this hunk of rock was naive to his ranking amongst the strong or genuinely that stupid, he would show Obsidius the mistake he just made by challenging him. Kong stood forward to oppose the lava monster and beat his chest furiously and letting out his own thunderous roar, charging at Obsidius. The giant gorilla threw a big right swing at the golem's face which caused Obsidius to crash into the dirt.
Kong bashed the rock monsters head deeper into the ground, Obsidius retaliating by scraping his claws down Kong's arms. King Kong grunted and backs up, Krystalak lowers his body and fires a crystal that lodges itself into Kong's right bicep. Clutching his arm, the giant ape, takes his attention off of Obsidius and glared at Krystalak. A few seconds later Zilla leapt far and landed in front of the smaller lizard like creature, swiping it's face with his scaly silver claws,. Three red marks form along Krystalak's face, causing him to grunt in pain.
Not wanting to let Zilla go scotch free, Krystalak pushed both hands in a x position to scratch at Zilla's snout, forcing the iguana back. The two stare each other down before the iguana charges at his crystalline foe, the two disappearing into the maze-like city.
Before Krystalak and Zilla leave, Kong pulled the crystal in his bicep out with a small grunt, raising it up to the light to examine it. It certainly looked pretty, with the way it sparkled in the light, but was obviously deadly. Obsidius taking the opportunity to strike the distracted ape, spat a large glob of lava that hit Kong square in the chest, the apes fur singed immediately and slowly dissolving into a light pink color. Kong bellowed in righteous fury and pain as he ignored his irritated flesh and grabbed the still down Obsidius by his forked tail, channeling his mighty strength to throw him overhead, more dirt flying into the air upon impact. Magma-like blood dripped from the cracks running along the rock monsters body as Obsidius groaned.
Getting to his feet Obsidius dashed towards the Eighth Wonder and began to spin like a top, fists outward like helicopter blades. Kong put his arms up to deflect the attack, however, Obsidius was proven to be stronger than Kong thought and he broke through Kong's block and successfully smashed Kong across the face repeatedly. Backing up, Obsidius observed as Kong wiped the stream of blood that was coming from his nose. Clenching his fists, Kong beat his chest and prepared himself for another round, Obsidius put his fists up in anticipation, slowly edging towards Kong. The two monsters began duking it out, their blows could be heard hundreds of meters away.
Deeper into the city, Zilla and Krystalak are maneuvering through buildings with grace and ease. Zilla, chasing down the smaller Krystalak was begrudgingly impressed by how swift and careful the pink crystal kaiju was. Not many beasts could compete with Zilla in terms of speed, and seeing this wretched monster faster than him made Zilla determined to destroy Krystalak and rip him bit by bit. The two continued their sprint in the city until Krystalak looked over his shoulder and notices that his opponent was nowhere to be seen. Slowing down, he around his limited space for his foe, Krystalak hearing a low rumbling noise before building to his right began to crumble. From the center of the building came the mighty iguana who tackled Krystalak into the building to his left, his crystalline back wedging into the structure.
Pushing against each other, the two scrape and swipe at each other's snouts, neither one giving in. Zilla opened his toothy maw and bit into Krystalak's left rib cage, sharp teeth penetrate the pale beasts skin, a clear glitter-like liquid to ooze out of the puncture wounds. Krystalak roared in defiance as he raked his claws along the top of Zilla's head, the iguana’s blood flowing down the scaly face of Zilla. Releasing his grasp, Zilla backed up wheeled around, whipping Krystalak's face with his long tail. The combined pressure of the monsters forced the building that Krystalak was stuck in to finally give way and submerge the son of Spacegodzilla an avalanche of concrete and rubble. Zilla watched the pile for movement cautiously. A faint pink glowed from the wreckage before suddenly erupting! Pinkish white energy shot right towards Zilla and struck him square in chest. Zilla is sent flying into a nearby building, tipping it over like a domino, but the structure leans against a larger building, preventing it from crushing the silver iguana. Rising from the dirt, a livid Krystalak roared into the starry sky. Scouting the area, he spotted Zilla not too far from him. Making a beeline for the Earth Defender he leaped up in the air and planted both feet into Zilla. Using Zilla as a springboard, Krystalak launched into the air and fired a spray of needles that embed themselves into Zilla's stomach and chest. After a brief moment, the crystal hum with light before a chain of explosions rocks the iguana.
Zilla roared in agony as he felt his body being ripped open, Krystalak landing on a building rooftop and examining the damage. Looking out into the outskirts of the city, he could spot Obsidius, who was looming over that giant ape.
Obsidiuswas knocked flat on his back as Kong stood a good distance away from him, the King of Skull Island stareing down Obsidius and an annoyed grunt escaping his lips when he sees the rock monster rise again. Obsidius glared back with his blank face and roared at Kong. Kong roars again, charging at Obsidius and the two lock hands. King Kong swinging his arms and dragging Obsidius off his feet, twirling him around again before letting go of Obsidius, flinging him further from the crystal and into a building. Crashing through the opposite side, the golem lifted his head and searched the area for Kong, feeling the vibrations of the Earth the rock monster could sense King Kong approaching from behind and begins to dig down into a hole. King Kong approached the spot where Obsidius should be, a pit filled with concrete, dirt, and stone. But no Obsidius.
Kong began to leave the hole where it was, when suddenly Obsidius sprang from the pit like a lion ant and grabbed Kong by the ankles, dragging him underground. Kong struggled but is fiercely pulled under. Obsidius dragged Kong deeper into the tunnel before letting him go, Obsidius stabbing his sharp fingers into Kong's legs. King Kong grunted in pain, it hurt but he was used to such minor injuries in this lifetime. Kong used what little space he had to flip on to his back and kick Obsidius in the face, but all Kong received was a gaping grin from the golem. Obsidius then tunneled his way out of the hole and onto the surface, Kong scooting along the ground towards the opening and watched as Obsidius prepared for another jump, this time leaping higher in the sky than anyone thought possible.
Spitting out a stream of lava, Obsidius descended down onto the ape. Kong saw the falling lava and leaped into the air with his own impressive jump to escape the hole, successfully escaping from being deep-fried. Panting, The Eighth Wonder turned around to see Obsidius, who didn’t look tired at all. Kong growled, wanting nothing more than to wipe that stupid look off of the lava golem’s face.
Krystalak pinned Zilla down to the pavement, opening his mouth to fire his Prism beam, wanting to blow Zilla’s head clean off. Zilla managed to throw Krystalak off to avoid being blown to bits, the prism beam sailing harmlessly into the sky. Rising back to his feet, the crystal terror thrusted his spiked tail, but Zilla grabbed hold of it just moments before it impaled his stomach. Krystalak yanked his tail back, cutting at Zilla’s hands in the process. Zilla grunted in pain, examining his bleeding hands a bit. Krystalak leapt forward and bit into the iguanas right arm, shaking his head violently. Zilla screeched in pain and a jet of flame was repulsed from his maw. Krystalak released his bite in surprise, shrieking as the flames hit his face.
Zilla headbutts Krystalak into a building and began clawing at the crystal monster, sparks erupting from each strike. Krystalak countered by firing a few crystal shards into Zilla’s bloodied and hurt rib cage, which exploded on contact and exposing the iguana’s ribcage. Krystalak then fired his prism into Zilla’s nearly chest, sending him crashing to the ground hard. Zilla screechedin agony as his chest is injured even more, and his ribs were almost broken. Desperately, the iguana burrowed underground to form a new plan. Searching his surroundings, Krystalak staggered as the ground all around him shook. Unable to pinpoint Zilla, Krystalak felt a sharp pain rip through his lower half. Looking down he spotted Zilla’s head poking out of the ground, biting into Krystalak’s ankle. Readying another prism beam, Krystalak bent down to yank Zilla out of the dirt and fired at the ground.
Zilla, back on all fours, leaped back and evaded the blast but the explosion obscuring both reptilians vision. Krystalak looks up to see a geyser of fire rise into the air. Looking at the dancing flames, Krystalak was distracted by the light show as Zilla slowly crept in front of him. In a flash, Zilla locked his jaws on Krystalak's neck, the purple monster wheezes in discomfort as razor sharp teeth dig into his throat. Clawing at Zilla, the iguana ignored the pain and used it to clamp down tighter. Krystalak groaned as sight faded, beginning to see his surroundings blur. Grasping weakly at Zilla's head, the gem on Krystalak's chest glowing brightly. Zilla began to feel a tingling sensation throughout his body. Shining brightly, Krystalak and Zilla are engulfed in a giant flash of light. Zilla is ripped off of the throat of Krystalak and sent sailing throughout New York, landing with a thunderous crash. A small crater was now cradling a smoldering barely alive Zilla. Krystalak felt his neck carefully, wincing at the pain, the explosion had cauterized the wound but it still hurt like hell. Slowly making his way towards the outskirts of the city, Krystalak saw the giant crystal he and Obsidius were sent to obtain. He just had to absorbed a little bit of its energy and his strength would be replenished. A loud explosion in the distance caught the pale monsters attention, and slowly he turned to check on his teammate.
Kong roared with all of his might as he ripped off Obsidius’s forked tail, using the tail as a weapon and beating the golem down with it. Obsidius roared in agony as his back began to and cave in. His flaming hot blood oozed out of the new cracks running down the rock monsters back. Kong grabbed Obsidius by the horns and hauled him over his shoulders. Rolling onto his back, the golem managed to stand and spit a stream of lava at Kong. The 8th Wonder of the World managed to blitz forward though, Obsidius stopping his stream of lava to charge at Kong. King Kong braced himself and leapt towards Obsidius. Surprised by the attack, Obsidius took the full force of forty-five thousand tons crashing onto him.
The two tumble to the floor, but Kong sprang up immediately as he felt the hot magma burn more of his skin, quickly backing away to ease his burning skin. Obsidius got up slowly and wheezed, carefully feeling the giant cavity at his chest. Lava, the substance that kept him alive was pouring out of him at an alarming rate. With not much time left, the golem needed to end the fight as quickly as possible. Kong got up, he could feel the wind hit his exposed skin and it made him wince in pain, but he kept his eyes on Obsidius, snarling. He wanted to end this. Before Kong could move forward however, a large purple tornado tore through the ground and struck at Kong, but the mighty gorilla braced the storm easily.
Seeing Krystalak rejoin his ally, Kong realized that Zilla was likely dead. Snarling at the mutant, Kong made it very clear to Krystalak: Stay back. The mutant only took orders from one being however. He made a move to leap forward, but before he could Krystalak stopped dead in his tracks as Kong jumped and clutched Krystalak by the throat. Purple claws weakly dig into Kong’s skin, but the ape ignores the crystal creature’s attempts to free himself. Obsidius seeing his comrade in danger, spat a stream of lava near Kong’s fett. Roaring in pain, Kong danced away and released Krystalak. Gasping for air, Krystalak glanced over at Obsidius and nodded once in thanks before focusing on Kong, the crystal beast aiming his tail at the ape and fires a volley of crystals at Kong. Kong looked down at the hurt and raw tissue on his skin, he could even see a bit of bone sticking out. Perhaps one of his allies could help him heal. His thoughts were broken by sharp crystals penetrating his shoulders. He grunted a little, looking down at the crystals curiously.
The crystals explode and tear apart the ape’s shoulder, blood gushing out of his new wound as Kong roared in agony. Obsidius roared powerfully, unleashing his mighty “Rip it Up” attack and hurling boulders until the ape collapsed from the assault. Obsidius heaved, lava dribbling out of his mouth as he collapsed. He had used the last of his energy on that attack. Krystalak, struggling to stay conscious, makes his way to the crystal and laid his claws down on it, absorbing its and revitalizing him. Now re energized by the crystals powers, Krystalak wrapped his tail around Obsidius’ neck and began dragging him over to the crystal as well, before disappearing under the ground and waiting to further their father’s plans. He didn’t care about King Kong or Zilla, they were already dead.
In the middle of the city, Zilla laid in the crater, his skin cooked and his breathing ragged. In the outskirts, Kong coughed and wheezed. Both were desperately clinging on to the last bits of their life.
“Damn it! Someone get a medical Jet Jaguar out there to give them treatment now!” Miku desperately ordered, staring at the screen intently. Silently, she prayed for them.
