- Nuclear weapons were apparently used at some point in the 20th century (outside of WW2), and they created Godzilla.
- Godzilla has a big square chin and can apparently reproduce asexually
- Radical retakes on classic kaiju

And the breaking point,

-Netflix added one other Godzilla movie besides the anime trilogy.

Nuclear weapons didn’t “create” Godzilla in this universe, Godzilla is the Earth’s direct response to nuclear bombs/pollution/and giant monsters created by both.

Anime Godzilla produces the same way as Shin and the Gargantuas do.
Godzilla 1998 literally fucked herself and laid eggs.

Plus Zilla’s are actually in the anime timeline, they breed and ran rampant before being annihilated by the army.

2. sometimes things are just obvious, I’m pretty sure it’s straight out stated the Servum came from chunks of him that got blasted off but ok.

3. Well he’s not, and if anything, it’s implied that his birth was a result of damaging the earth with nuclear weapons. It’s stated plenty of times throughout that he’s something else altogether, it’s also delved into in the novels.

Regardless of misinformation about the author on my part, they are canon and wouldn’t be sold if they weren’t.

The novels are most certainly canon as they were written by the guy who wrote the films, and certainly tied to the films themselves.

no they weren't. Renji Oki wrote them, Urobuochi "supervised" (read: made sure nothing contradicted the films and gave tips)

Ok, wasn’t exactly sure who wrote them so I definitely should have done some research before stating that, but regardless, they are considered canon to the story as they bridge the gap between events.

They wouldn’t be sold and tied to the anime if they weren’t apart of the official story.
