An animated Godzilla from Toho sounds nice, but

Post by Jason »

I wish they'd make it seem ongoing like they did with the other two. The big question is when will it be out?

HB Godzilla and Godzilla: The Series, I'd assume. He would rather it be a TV show than a movie.

To be fair, I'm in that same camp.

I'd be interested to see a series like that, for sure. I'm looking forward to this movie, but what I'd really like in a Godzilla anime is an episodic, more traditionally-animated series that's similar in tone to the mid- to late Showa series.

That's exactly what I'd want from a Godzilla anime.
Well, that's certainly a thing.

I wish it was a series of unrelated films based on cancelled projects and unused concepts.

And you'd be right. Those are the two series I was talking about. I thought the Hanna-Barbera series was better. I wish they'd bring that one back with new episodes, but you can't get Hanna-Barbera to do it for neither love nor money. The reason I feel it was better was for one thing, they had a monster that was more powerful than any of the ones shown in the movies in the episode "The Magnetic Terror."
