Your worries for Godzilla ANIME

Hi once again people, welcome to my first thread on this subforum. In order to continue a tradition, may I ask if any of think there should be reasons as to be cautious with our expectations? My main concerns are A) a rushed production that will lead to shlocky animation and B) The people involved may not even be big fans of the character and associated franchise. Therefore, we may end up with an uninspired script complete with an equally uninspired story and characters to go along with it.

I would like hear some concerns at your own thank you. Type at your own will.

I'm typically not a fan of the 'male ensemble cast with a single token lead female character' trope. From the cast announcements so far it seems like that is what this might be shaping up to be.

Hopefully these are perhaps just are main 'trilogy characters' and we have some key female supporting cast members to balance things out a bit.

At this point it just sounds like Attack on Titan. I did not like AoT. It had constant flashbacks, pointless exposition, and tried to be deep at inappropriate times. It sucked.

I hope this is not AoT with Godzilla acting like the Colossal Titan. That would be stupid.

Gen Urobochi has a good reputation with darker stories, don't get how this would turn out like AoT at all even with similar basic ideas

May I inquire as to why? A kaiju ecosystem akin to the one in Kong: Skull Island (albeit much larger and with more familiar kaiju) sounds like a very interesting idea. Kind of like a modern Monster Island, except much more expanded throughout the biosphere.

That Godzilla will be 50-80 meters. It doesn't sound intimidating if you say something took over a planet, but it's only 50 meters tall.

It's an anime so you're barking up the wrong tree. I mean Toho is taking risks now, it'd be lame if they played it safe for their anime when an anime doesn't have the same limitations as live action.

That Godzilla will practically one shot kill (or kill very quickly), most of the kaiju. By what we have learned from his first appearance in this timeline.......it seems like he does- I just hope those 3 kaiju he fought put up a good fight.

Poor Varan, every since DAM he ends up being used more in comics, books and games than actual movies.

For what I can distinguish in the pamphlet, humans just found the dead bodies of three monsters, so it isn't specified he fought them at the same time, that's definitely something.

Godzilla usually does struggle when fighting multiple monsters at once, even with a partner.
