The Ironfur warily observed the massive avian, the phalanges upon its snout flexing with each sniff of the beast's nose. The creature cautiously returned to drinking water from the frosty stream, though it always made sure to keep as focused on the bulky avian as possible. After a few minutes of drinking and noting the avian's continued observance, the Ironfur raised its chitinous head, water streaming down from its vice-like jaws, and emitted a low, agitated growl. The ursine titan scratched its claws on the ground and reared its head towards the avian, nostrils fully flared. It was telling the avian to back off - or else.

The feathered newcomer gazed down to the agitated creature.

Perhaps he had neglected to consider how this shelled beast would have reacted to his presence. Most creatures of his world regarded him with admiration and respect, and occasionally, fear; to see one so ruffled over his appearance was new for Kotkar.

But his point was not to disturb it. He had merely been asked to observe.

The eagle-bear's wings spread in a majestic display of natural engineering, before he bounced off his perch with a push of his hulking limbs.

It was time to find a different spot, one where he could watch without rousing anything against him.

The impatient serpent had enough. He would no longer be imprisoned within this rocky tomb. His lengthy body arched, followed by his head darting through the air, crashing into the ceiling above him. The sun's rays poked through, giving Hidera hope. He continuously repeated the bashing until the roofing fell away.

Hidera was free, at last! With a flick of his feathered tail, he wriggled out from the rubble and onto the hillside. It was a feeling that he'd gone too long without. The early morning sunlight touching his face, the light breeze flowing through his mane, and the soft grass hugging at his underside and limbs. But then it clicked.

His original mission was still to be executed: Take control over all which you see.

His forked tongue scraped his conical teeth as his thoughts swirled in his head. The serpent twisted around, facing the now disappearing darkness, and he bolted off. His snake-like eyes settled on a figure in the far distance. He would start small, manipulation would do for now, if things get aggressive, he thought, death would be his penalty.

A juvenile deer is scramming through a forest, scared by something behind it. The herbivore eventually gets tired and sits down. The creature, believing that its predator couldn't have caught up, starts eating the plants below. Meanwhile, reptilian feet skulk through the environment, toe pads keeping its steps silent. A drop of saliva hits the ground, melting the grass below. The deer gets up and goes to the river nearby. Behind it, a black tail flails about and breaks a tree.

The log falls, making the deer jump. It turns around, seeing a dark shape grow and grow. Realizing its predator was here, the mammal starts to run. The unknown creature picks up speed and gives chase. The herbivore is fast but unfortunately, its attacker is too. The deer fits under a log, which the predator breaks just by running into it. The prey animal looks back and sees pearly-white fangs emerging from a mouth ready for feasting.

The deer starts making turns at random, confusing the giant creature. Eventually, it looks around and sees nothing but trees. Suddenly, a purple fog starts to consume the area. The deer doesn't notice until the smoke has already enveloped it. The animal is about to walk but it feels a weird tugging. It looks down, only to see that its hoof has melded to a rock. The creature tries pulling more and more when suddenly, it's whole leg falls off. The deer looks back up, seeing the predator sprawled out with all four legs attached to a separate tree. The mammal tries to shuffle away but more of its body melts off. Suddenly, the monster above drops down, it's foot pinning what remains of the deer's torso. It waits a bit, letting the deer continue to melt, until it opens its mouth. The creature lunges its head downward, causing the deer to let out a yell. That yell is the final thing the animal gets to do as its head is severed with one bite.

Watching as the avian took to the skies, the armor-plated beast reared onto its hind legs and loosed another angry roar, as if beckoning for the creature for a challenge. Though the ursine creature's face lacked eyes, its snarling jaws and gnashing fangs expressed a feral, seemingly mindless desire to kill.

The creature took a hap-hazard swipe in the avian's general direction, as if attempting to reach it despite his foe's aerial superiority. The creature slammed back down shortly onto all fours, sniffing the air intently, before meandering closer to the avian...

In the midst of his flight, the great eagle-bear noticed the creature was still following him. He felt confused. He was flying away to leave it some space, but there it was waddling after him. Whirling around in mid-air, the bulky brown bird gave a forward sweep of a brawny feathered arm, launching a gust of wind towards the beast trailing him. The strong gust of air uprooted it, sending the thing rolling on its back with its limbs flailing in the air. Hopefully, this would get the Ironfur to stop following him.

Surprised by the gust of wind capable of knocking it off its feet, The Ironfur struggled to roll itself back onto its legs. It was a rare sight that much of anything could halt an Ironfur back in its home world, let alone push it off its feet with minimal effort. This filled the beast with confusion and apprehension. The ironclad ursine beast eventually managed to right itself, scythe-like claws raking ruts into the earth from its massive tonnage. An indentation remained in the earth from its great bulk resting on top of it.

The ironclad ursine's nose phalanges flexed cautiously, as the mammoth creature's jaws hung open with visible anxiety. The beast circled around kotkar, emitting a low growl, before suddenly rushing towards him, jaws agape!
