Gorgo was shocked at the strength his foe possessed, not only had they withstood his flames but had marched right though them and thrown him for good measure. Had Gorgo been less angery he would have cut his losses there and then, but fury over powered reason for the time being. "Well if my flames don't work..." He though to himself "... lets see how he dose against my teeth!" Gorgo began to burrow into the earth once more, the dust from the collapsing building obscuring his actions somewhat. After he was fully submerged, he tunnelled towards Walterrus as fast as he could. Once in striking range, he leaped from the earth like a hunting crocodile from the water, jaws agape. Unfortunately Walterrus had moved to avoid the attack, causing Gorgo to miss his intended target. Instead of his foes neck or head, Gorgo's jaws clamped down on their arm. With his bloodlust kicking in Gorgo, rather then letting go or trying to throw Walterrus, instead locked his jaw and bite down as hard as he could.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Deep below the earth, Ururu could sense Gorgo's battle. For thanks to his psychic powers, the Dinosaur King had secretly formed a mental network with most of the dinosaurs under his rule long ago. While reading minds and enslaving others to his will required his direct presence, if given enough time he could form a permanent link with the mind of another which allowed him gain impressions of their mental state from afar. All it had taken was regular patrols around his kingdom and casually making eye contact with his subjects. This is how he'd been able to retain his iron grip, he could feel when others were plotting against him and deal with them befor they could cause trouble. That said the network was not perfect and several dinosaurs, most below his notice, had slipped through his net unintentionally. Right now however it was proving to be as useful in his campaign to retake the surface as he'd hoped. While he couldn't give orders, he at least was able to have real time knowledge of what was happening above. Unfortunately all he was getting was bad news! Gorgo had been stalking something he had been afraid of and was now in battle against a powerful foe, mean while that idiot Stella had wondered up to the surface then disappeared completely!

"But thats why the expendable get sent first, isn't it?" Ururu thought to himself. From what little intel he'd gathered, Ururu deduced that it was not the humans who were going to be the real threat to his domination of earth. It was going to be the kaiju of the surface world. With that in mind, the Dinosaur King quickly come up with a new battle plan and set about gathering suitable dinosaurs to enact it.

Walterrus had missed his target when it went underground, and looked around puzzled. Apparently, this creature could dig quickly, and Walterrus had guessed that it would try to burst out of the ground at him. Upon that happening, Walterrus ducked, Gorgo just missing the longest of the spikes on his back. But that wasn't the end of it, oh no, as Walterrus straightened himself, he felt his right arm clamped down upon by Gorgo.

Then he felt the squeeze, and while his fur and scales both resisted being punctured, it was far from painless. Unfortunately, this only resulted in Walterrus becoming more pissed off, and he started wailing away on Gorgo's head with his left hand, claws splayed out as he scratched at Gorgo's face, digging his claws in with great force upon each strike. He then grabbed at Gorgo's top jaw with his hand after a while, and used his right arm to begin propping the lower jaw open as he let out angered roars. With some effort, he actually pried the jaws apart, moving his right arm so the hand was now gripping the lower jaw, and then forcibly smashed Gorgo face first into another building, attempting to make him eat some of the structure as well. Knowing it would momentarily stun the creature, he then moved to grab at his tail with the full intent of slamming him around like a ragdoll...

Gorgo was beginning to wish he hadn't woken up today, at least in the brief periods he could think anything. If he hadn't there was a real possibility he wouldn't have been electrocuted, choked, thrown into a human nest, beaten, clawed, had he's jaws forced open and then repeatedly slammed into the ground over and over. At this point all he wanted to do now was to go home. At first that seemed like wishfully thinking, given his current predicament, but then his enemies grip on his tail slipped. Rather then being sudden yanked violently downward and into some hard surface for the umpteenth time, Gorgo when sailing through the air in a very undignified manor. He flew strait through a building, crash landed into the one behind it and skidded into the one behind that, which in turn fell on top of him.

It was hard to say what had been beaten worse at this point, Gorgo's body or his pride but it's likely both were going to be several shades of black and blue tomorrow. Once he was able think beyond the pain, Gorgo pushed himself out of the rubble he was buried under and got to his feet. He could see Walterrus moving towards him again but their was distance between them now and Gorgo decided he'd at least spoil the human lover's victory if nothing else. "Don't get cocky just because you beat me!" He said "I'm just a common fighter in the Dinosaur Kingdom! There are many of us, enough to drown you in our teeth and claws! Worse for you are the elite warriors among our ranks, dinosaurs with enough power to beat me just as badly! Honestly though I hope your standing there the day Dinosaur King Ururu rises from the earth! When he's finished with you, there won't be enough left for the scavengers to fight over!"

With a final roar of defiance, Gorgo plunged into the earth once more and began making his way back to the Dinosaur Kingdom.

Hidachi nodded in agreement, "Yeah... I need to do some investigating of my own as well, sir." He muttered before excusing himself and heading towards the exit.

As Hidachi finally reached the front of the building and hobbled outside, he saw that a crowd of hungry reporters had already gathered to try and get the latest scoop first, as well as several police and firemen, as well as bomb patrol. He managed to squeeze past the frenzy, ignoring the reporters desperately trying to get him to answer their incessant questions, but stopped when something caught his eye. Hidachi saw standing at the bottom of the concrete steps, leading up to the JSDF building, the unmistakable and slender shape of...

"Amori?!" He called out in shock.

Amori turned around to find her Dad standing there, and her eyes immediately lit up with happiness. "DAD!" She screamed as she ran towards Hidachi at full speed and gave him the biggest bear hug he had ever gotten. So much so, that it caused him to groan in pain.

"Easy, kiddo! My ribs are broken!" Hidachi stated with a strained chuckle as he returned the hug, and planted a kiss on her head.

"Sorry, sorry! I'm just so glad to see you're okay, Dad!" Amori said before patting his cheek, pinching his nose, and generally just giving him a good once over to be sure. "Are you okay?" She asked.

Hidachi gently brushed her hand away and smiled, "I think I'll live, sweetie, thank you. Now, what are you doing here? Didn't you get my voicemail?"

Amori shook her head, "When I got off the phone with you, I headed straight here from school, but got stuck in traffic. What in the world happened in there?"

"A bombing, two bombings at that." Hidachi sighed, "Bastards somehow snuck their way inside and nearly blew the place sky high."

"Oh my God, is everyone okay? Does anyone know exactly who did it?" Amori asked.

"Luckily, there haven't been any confirmed casualties yet, but even then, it's still too early to really say." Hidachi responded solemnly, "But, we think we have an idea of the person that did this, but... We're not so sure on that either, hun."

Amori shook her head, "Bastard." She cursed spitefully.

Hidachi looked at her, "Heyyy, what I say about the language?" He calmly scolded.

"Sorry... That jerk."

"Much better." Hidachi mused and wrapped an arm around her.

Amori rolled her eyes and started trying to lead her Dad towards the parking lot across the street. "Come on, I'm taking you home right now." She affirmed.

Hidachi tried to resist, stating, "Amori, I have work! I have to start looking for whoever did this-"

"Work can wait, Dad, you need sleep in your own bed and a warm meal... Which I will try my best to cook, but we may have to order takeout instead." Amori quickly retorted as she tugged him along to her car.

Hidachi groaned, "Amorriiii."

"Daaaaad." She mockingly pleaded as they neared the car.

Ogasawara Islands

621 miles south of Tokyo laid the beautiful islands of Ogasawara. Lush green brush covered nearly every square inch of the land, while crystal blue ocean waters wrapped around the islands like a comforting pair of arms. It was absolute paradise there… But these islands withheld a massive secret, one that remained hidden from the prying eye of mankind for decades.

It had been a rather quiet and peaceful stretch of time today, but that peace was immediately shattered when a high-pitched and hoarse cry echoed throughout the forests. That scream belonged to a short and stubby humanoid creature, whom was currently running terrified for its life. It was an ugly thing, with a scaly bald head, pudgy face, huge bulging eyes and a sickeningly pale green for the coloration of its skin. Its cry didn’t help the creature’s case either; it sounded akin to a donkey in distress. It ran with all its resolve through the thick underbrush, trying to escape from something that was hot on its heels. Whatever was chasing the bizarre animal was quite a bit larger than it, and had the general makeup of an apex predator, what with razor sharp claws on its hands and large feet, a mouthful of large teeth, and a massive tail. And, if one didn’t know any better, they would have assumed that the large predator bared a striking resemblance to…

The ugly little critter kept running, even as its pursuer was steadily closing in, the former didn’t stop. That is, until it tripped over itself and fell face first into a mound of hard mud. The lame thing rolled over onto its belly in just enough time to see its aggressor slowly stalking up towards it. The creature emitted its high-pitched squeal for a final time, as its huge eyes bulged out of its skull, before it was promptly snatched up head first into the predator’s large jaws. The monster shook its head to and fro, wet pops and the sound of flesh ripping apart being elicited with each violent shake. Until finally, the beast stopped as it felt the pathetic vermin go limp in its jaws and proceeded to use its powerful arms to grab ahold of the midsection. With terrible strength, the monster used both its jaws and arms to literally rip the dead creature in half and proceeded to swallow the upper half still in its mouth, whole. It dropped the lower end to the ground, the legs of which still twitching, and roared in a high-pitched wail that sounded oddly familiar. In fact, the pronounced ears, amber colored eyes and tall, maple leafed dorsal plates on the back all but confirmed it. This was no regular monster, this was a Gojirian. More specifically, this was the son of the most destructive creation on the face of the planet: This was Junior.

Unlike his tainted father, Junior was a completely natural creation of nature. And, while he did possess radiation, it came solely from the Earth itself. Junior was comparatively stout and broad, built more like a bruiser than the slenderly toned and muscular frame of his adoptive father. He also had a beautiful leafy green and scaly hide that gleamed in the sunlight, compared to the permanently charred and bumpy skin of the latter.

While Junior was quite capable of fending for himself on an island full of monsters, he was still merely a kid. He could hunt and fight off smaller creatures, but was all but helpless against larger beasts, especially with him still not having learned how to unleash the most valuable tool in his arsenal. And so, as Junior was finishing up his kill, he felt the ground shake behind him and trees snap. Cautiously, he turned around to find himself face to face with a gigantic Kamacurus: A praying mantis type of monster that was like that of a hyena, where they were opportunistic hunters. The insectile creature screeched loudly whilst flailing its giant hooked front appendages around wildly. Junior gazed up at the towering monster in growing fear, drooping his head low and emitting a low and threatening growl. Maybe if he was quick enough, he could get behind the Kamacurus, attack its most vulnerable areas and possibly even take it down. But Junior’s ears suddenly perked up as he heard additional noises from either side of him. In seconds, the young Kaiju found himself surrounded on nearly all sides by at least a dozen, equally as massive Kamacurus that were all out for one goal: Food. Junior soon discovered he had been followed and trapped for who knows how long, and now he was woefully outmatched. The only thing he could possibly think to do now was…

As fast as he could manage, Junior whipped around and bolted through the heavy forest, breaking small trees and ripping up tons of foliage as he went. The bugs were right on his heels, skittering after him with voracious vigor. Luckily, these specific specimens hadn’t yet evolved the ability of flight, which kept them both grounded and slow compared to their small quarry. Though, their incredibly long legs allowed the Kamacurus to cover a lot more ground than Junior could, as one showed when it lashed a serrated pincer out and nearly punched straight through his scaly head. Junior just barely managed to dodge, feeling the gust of wind from the powerful attack rush past his face. Without hesitation, the young monster cried out in distress as loudly as his lungs could manage, hoping that help was somewhere nearby. As Junior burst forth from the forest and out onto the sandy beach, one of the Kamacurus pounced on top of him and pinned the monster to the ground. Junior kicked and thrashed wildly, howling as the insect rolled him onto his back. Suddenly, the adolescent’s dorsal fins shone to life, glowing in a light blue color and increasing in brightness by the second. The Kamacurus that had him pinned, as well as its twelve other brethren instinctively began to back away, until… as Junior reared up to unleash his hellfire… Nothing came forth. Only a tiny blue ring pathetically crawled from within his maw and dissipated as soon as it came. Silence overtook the beach as Junior stared on in frustrated disbelief, and the Kamacurus packed awkwardly looked at each other, before chittering incessantly in gurgled laughter.

Junior could only back up helplessly as the giant bugs stalked towards him, and, as one raised its claw in the air to slaughter the young monster, something caught its attention. A flash of light from the sea suddenly came out of seemingly nowhere, followed by a split-second cry of agony from the Kamacurus, and ending with silence once more. Junior opened his eyes, peered up and was met with the body of his would-be killer standing limp before him, what was left of it. Its entire upper half had been completely vaporized, leaving only its large thorax as well as a few legs behind. Junior’s eyes widened in excitement as he knew exactly the cause of the sudden kill, and as he turned to gaze out towards the ocean, so to do the other Kamacurus in growing fear. The waters bubbled and gurgled violently until, like a towering geyser, exploded into the blue sky. As millions of droplets rained down, the savior of Junior was soon revealed. His fiery orange eyes glared at the ones that dared attack his son, his lips curled to reveal massive fangs, and enormous claws tightened into rock solid fists.

When he finally made it onto shore, the Kamacurus were no longer the largest creatures in the area, for now, standing tall before them… Godzilla had arrived. Junior ran to his Dad for protection, to which he received by the titan wrapping an arm around him. Godzilla emitted a low, intense and rumbling snarl at the hungry insects which caused them to shrink in terror. However, as fearful as they were, the Kamacurus weren’t too bright. And right now, hunger was the sole driving force in any decision making they did, and as a collective pack, they ultimately agreed upon there being an even tastier meal standing in front of them. Quickly, the started surrounding Godzilla, covering his exposed flanks and rear. The latter grunted for Junior to go and hide in the forest, to which he obliged and hurriedly ran off towards it. Then, Godzilla peered all around him to note every Kamacurus there, before cracking his neck.

Without warning, four of them attacked Godzilla from behind and leapt on top of his back, proceeding to bite and slash at his neck with their pincers and mandibles. Godzilla bellowed thunderously in anger before quickly reaching back and grabbing on by the neck. He yanked it forward off his back, used his other hand to grab ahold of the creature’s midsection, and with herculean might, ripped the creature apart and caused buckets of green blood to spray everywhere. Godzilla discarded the Kamacurus and shook to and fro to dislodge the other three. No luck; they were latched on tight. So, thinking quickly, the black titan forced himself hard onto his rocky back and kicked up tons of sand in the process. The other three were absolutely flattened, and as Godzilla rose back to his feet, one was still hanging on, having been bludgeoned by his sharp dorsal fins. As the other eight attacked at once, Godzilla went on to make short work of them. He tore some apart, squished the head on one underfoot into a mess of green sludge, and hurled another out into the ocean. One Kamacurus charged the titan head on, pincers raised in the air to strike him down. Godzilla caught the thing’s claws in mid air as the insect tried with all its might to bludgeon its stubborn prey. Godzilla was having none of it, however, and used one of his giant feet to kick the Kamacurus dead in its chest. The latter was sent tumbling across the beach, and as it slowly recovered, it shrieked in both pain and shock as it found that its arms had been ripped off! Godzilla chucked away one but held onto the other and glared the grotesque monster down, as it did him. The Kamacurus charged blindly in a fit of rage towards Godzilla, but the latter was ready. He rose the large claw above his head, and as the insect neared, Godzilla brought it down upon its head and stabbed it straight through. The Kamacurus struggled and squirmed for a few seconds as it desperately tried to free itself, but soon stopped as life escaped it.

Another pounced onto Godzilla’s back yet again and drove one claw into the side of his mouth, and another near his eye. Godzilla roared with vicious rage before he used his mouth to bite down on the bug’s arm and crush it, eliciting a cry of pain from the creature. Then, he reached behind and grabbed the Kamacurus by the mandibles, peeled it off him, and used his other hand to grab its mouth as well. Godzilla, with merciless brutality, cracked the creature’s jaws open, sunk his claws deeper into its mouth, and went on to savagely split the insect’s head in two. As he felt the Kamacurus go limp in his hands, he threw it into the shallows before facing down the sole survivor. At this point, any other creature would have been long gone by now and wisely made the decision to live to fight another day. But, Kamacurus weren’t intelligent creatures, as seen when the last remaining one did what could only be described as a kamikaze run and hurled itself at Godzilla with all its resolve. Godzilla snarled and braced himself for the impact. At the right moment, he reached forward with one hand and grabbed the Kamacurus by the throat, lifted the squirming insect up to his mouth and sunk his fangs into its head. Godzilla squeezed with incredible force and, with a guttural snarl, cracked the thing’s head open as its eyes bulged from its cranium. Then, Godzilla yanked to the right, tore the head off and spit it out before he threw his head back and howled in victory.

With the pack of Kamacurus dealt with, Godzilla threw the headless corpse to the ground and called for Junior to come out. The young monster timidly emerged from the thick underbrush as Godzilla approached. He reached down and rested a gentle hand upon Junior’s head to reassure him, but Junior was still unsure. Seeing that his son was still afraid, Godzilla bent down, extended a hand, and illuminated his spines. Once enough energy had been built up, Godzilla formed a fist and reopened it, now revealing half a dozen tiny blue orbs that floated into the air. He continued doing this until there were dozens of these, “atomic sprites”, dancing and hovering all around. Junior immediately perked up and happily started chasing them all around, leaping and snapping at them like a joyful dog. With the young one settled for now, Godzilla rose to his full height and stared out towards the sea. His eyes narrowed, Godzilla could sense that there were creatures out there trying to encroach on his territory, creatures like him. He would have to investigate immediately, but… Godzilla turned to find Junior still playing. That would have meant leaving Junior alone again, and after what had just occurred, Godzilla just couldn’t take that risk for now. He would remain on the island and watch over his son, at least for a few days before heading out again. Whatever beasts were out there, Godzilla needed to find and handle, and fast.

For now, though, he sunk down onto his belly and felt the warm sand tickle his hide, and soon closed his eyes. As Godzilla felt himself being lulled to sleep, he winced as he felt a dull and pressured pain resonating from behind. He lifted his head and turned to find Junior having had accidentally stepped on his tail whilst hopping back and forth over it. The latter chirped an embarrassed apology and went off to try and catch the last of those orbs floating out to sea. Godzilla could only elicit a short sigh before dropping his enormous and weary head back onto the sand. At least, for the time being, things were peaceful.

Walterrus had moved to locate Gorgo, and came to find the creature had burrowed again after shouting a threat back to him. His eyes narrowed as he snarled a response, it being the kaiju equivalent of let them come. He would meet them head on and take them out, every last one. For the time being though, he had to calm himself, being worked up from the fight. While other creatures had to psyche themselves up, Walterrus had to psyche himself down in order to make more level headed decisions. Getting into a rage was easy enough, despite his preference for more peaceful resolutions. He looked around as he let out long breaths, and panted to calm down. He had done even more of a number on this place from that fight, which was impressive, considering how badly ruined the city had been before. He bent himself down to further rest himself for a time in an effort to ease himself. He didn't need the satisfaction of destroying that beast, but it would have helped a little in calming down after the fight. If what Gorgo had said about his leader was true though, he expected he wouldn't see that creature ever again. So he was satisfied that the surface world was safe from that one at the least...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Byakkan was now nearing the shore, but still a ways off enough that she wouldn't yet be noticed by any surveillance equipment. She was still making an effort to get to the city when she suddenly stopped, and looked on ahead. What she had sensed earlier, was gone now, or more accurately, had retreated. With that evil presence gone, she could now sense the other presence more clearly, something strong was there, and was clearly agitated. She would need to carefully approach now, and then she felt another presence elsewhere, the presence she had detected earlier, the original one she had been awakened in order to investigate. But as soon as it had appeared, it suddenly subsided, and she could not clearly detect it anymore. She wondered, while floating in the surf, whether she should investigate, or continue on her previous course now that she was so close. She decided to continue towards Osaka, and figure out just what was going on there.
"Hey, uh, guys?" Yoko said to her colleagues, "The fight's over, looks like from what we can see, the monster chased off that Gorgosaurus."
"It did?" Taichi looked at Yoko's monitor and could see that, yes, the dinosaur was gone, and that the monster was still there, seemingly exhausted, but only if he knew that it was trying to calm itself down. "Looks like you won't have a three way battle, Cole." Taichi then resumed, turning to Cole. "The first monster beat the dinosaur, and looks to be worse for wear."
"I guess it's not going to be that much of a challenge then." Cole said, "Despite it seemingly being Godzilla like, it mustn't be as strong given how exhausted it is. This won't be a problem." He then walked to the airlock, and prepped it. "We close enough?"
"Just about." The pilot said, "Any further, and we'll need to gain clearance, given that the JSDF has declared this a no-fly zone. You'll be on your own."
"Good enough for me." Cole said as he opened the door, getting a rush of air blowing in and around from the turbulence at this height. "Pick me up on the city's east side, I'll make my way there once I put this thing down." And with that, he jumped and went into free fall down to the city. He'd need to fly to get there, and that would be the easy part. "DRAGIZER!" He called out as he pulled his transformation device, which looked like a baton with a blue gem on the top, from a pocket, and brought it to his chest. "DRAGO HENSHIN!" He called out as he transformed from his human form into his true form, which was a red with silver and blue accent humanoid dragon. His wings having sword handles where the thumbs would be, his snout being fairly short, but clearly there, glowing green eyes, silver boots and hands, silver on the wing membranes, a long slender tail from his rear, and the device was now embedded in his chest, the gem glowing blue with power. He stretched both hands forwards, and flew off, still human sized to conserve as much energy as he could, now that the clock was ticking...
Meanwhile on the airship, his friends were looking out in shock before they closed the airlock. "First time seeing that?" One of the assistants asked Taichi.
"Not exactly, it is the first time I've seen him jump like that." The professor said, "No parachute either."
A brutal thunderstorm pummels the city of Yokohama, raging winds and loud claps of thunder reminiscent of artillery explosions drown out the other sounds of the busy metropolis. Rain falls so heavily that it feels as though small stones where falling from the weeping, dark clouds. As day turns to night, the storm only seems to worsen, the winds blowing around paper and cups lying in the streets. The shroud of night is briefly penetrated by flashes of lightning, who are followed by the roar of thunder. These horrid weather conditions conceal an ominous figure wading in from Yokohama bay, an unseen force about to besiege this unsuspecting city. Lightning flashes again, revealing the bay to be empty, the mysterious invader seemingly vanished. Then a second, sustained flash of lightning reveals the unmistakable visage of none other than Godzilla himself!
The abominable reptile rears back and releases and ear piercing shriek to announce it's presence before wading onto the harbor, crushing shipping containers and cargo cranes underfoot. The beast would trek onwards, the buildings around it gradually surpassing it in height as it entered the heart of the city. Godzilla appeared to be in a particularly sour mood today, kicking aside vehicles by the dozens and plowing through whole buildings. Godzilla would even target large buildings and tear into them with his hands, spilling the structure's innards onto the streets below. Godzilla would direct it's unblinking gaze towards a horde of fleeing pedestrians who abandoned their vehicles in a panic. A bright, neon green light illuminated Godzilla's dorsal plates before it unleashed a gout of neon green flame at the fleeing people, vaporizing them all in an instant. Those who where not immediately erased by the flames where reduced to charred skeletons. The abandoned vehicles caught in the blast where reduced to twisted, molten slag that covered the street like a river of molten steel.
Godzilla would let out another high pitched shriek before unleashing another blast of green flame, slowly turning it's head left and right in a sweeping motion. Buildings where lit ablaze and glass windows disintegrated instantly as Godzilla burned everything in it's path, ramming it's right arm clean through a building while continuing it's fiery assault. Godzilla pulled it's arm downwards, tearing a huge gash into the face of the building. The gout of fire finally ceased spewing from Godzilla's mouth. The beast would let out another shriek before plowing it's entire mass through a building about twice it's size. On the other side of the building, huge slabs of concrete and twisted metal girders flew in every direction as the beast emerged from the thick cloud of dust and smoke, shrieking yet again as it set it's crazed, bloodshot eyes upon more helpless victims who fled in terror from it's terrifying visage. Godzilla's dorsal plates would once again glow a neon green before unleashing a blaze of green flame from it's mouth, incinerating the crowds of people before guiding it's flame upwards, washing entire clusters of small buildings in nuclear hellfire.
Indeed, Godzilla appeared to be acting with even more brutality than before, deliberately targeting humans as opposed to wanton destruction. Several occupants of a medium sized office building behind and to the left of Godzilla barely had time to make it to the emergence exits before the beast's powerful tail smashed into the side of the building, causing it to collapse in on itself. Local law enforcement was utterly helpless, their puny revolvers would do nothing to a beast that size. The fire department was in chaos trying to extinguish the flames, while some never made it to their destination, having been crushed by the might of Godzilla. Godzilla would continue onwards, trampling or incinerating anyone in it's path. The beast's rampage would cause a fuel tanker to crash into a mound of rubble created by the creature. The fuel bed of the truck would disconnect from the vehicle, flipping to it's side and crashing onto the street. The hard asphalt would tear the metal tank open and spill gallons of gasoline onto the street.
Seeing the opportunity to inflict even more casualties, Godzilla fired it's green flame upon the spilt gasoline. The fuel would ignite from the intense heat and create a massive, fiery explosion. Windows would shatter from the force of the blast and flames would swallow cars and people whole. Godzilla would let out another high pitched shriek seemingly out of triumph, but it's face remained static and emotionless. Indeed Godzilla appeared to be in a zombie like trance despite it's rather animated rampage; his bloodshot eyes unblinking, his expression unchanging, and his mouth permenantly stuck in an eerie grin. Godzilla suddenly ceased his rampage, standing still in the middle of the burning streets of Yokohama. Mere moments later, Godzilla would turn tail and retrace his steps back into Yokohama harbor. The monster would slowly disappear into the water with each step before vanishing beneath the waves entirely, leaving only devastation behind him.
Chichijima; Ogasawara Island Chain, Pacific Ocean
The sunset just an hour earlier saw the overcast weather move out to sea as the usual warm, muggy ocean air was replaced with a more cool, breezy air with the passage of a frontal system over the small island chain. From the island's weather station, the view was fantastic. The ocean's inky black surface was silvered and transformed by the light of the moon, which, in its full phase, hung like a great luminous pearl on the radiant breast of heaven. In the serenade of the black beyond the Moon's form, the stars were a choir, the lights that sang and danced in infinite patterns.
None of the staff were aware of the battle that had taken place on one of the neighboring islands from which they were stationed, instead focusing on their daily tasks that encompassed a secret system to contain the Earth's monsters. "What a view that is, wouldn't you say?" the voice of an aide spoke.
"Yes, it is," Koji replied, looking through his telescope.
Koji Sada was something of a widely recognized figure in the scientific community. Among his other achievements, he was one of the first to identify and warn about the danger of the Kuril Islands Earthquake that eventually occurred in 1963, all from analysis of the syntonic geological situation. This is what got the Japanese government to approach him for a position in its ranks shortly thereafter. Obliging, he was now set as an administrator for the Ogasawara Island Chain of the Bonin Islands to observe their climate and geography for potential development once the United States place the islands back in Japan's hands, set to occur in 1968. Of course, given the man's past that placed him in Tokyo during Godzilla's first attack in 1954, the decision was rather personal to him; made out of contempt to kill it or any other monster that would inevitably rise again with the continued horrors of atomic and nuclear testing. Aside from his profession in geology, Koji also harbored a personal interest in astronomy; having always found the nighttime sky simply mesmerizing to look at. As he continued to look on through his telescope on this particular night however, something just seemed.. Off.
Koji couldn't quite put his finger on it, but it seemed as though there was a new star appearing between the Earth's moon and Mars? He had been repeatedly attempting to focus his telescope lens on the object. Finally, after long minutes of frustration and the slightest of motions in his fingers to adjust the viewfinder, he finally was able to clearly see what this new object was. It was shocking, to say the very least.
There, amidst the blackness and stars of space, was not a star at all. This new object consisted mostly of a large silver-colored disk with a sage green line spinning along its axis, with three brass-hued folds running inward to the base of a large red-tipped antenna at the center of the ship; on the bottom were four large landing gears. This had to be an alien craft of some sort, no question!
Scurrying to grab his camera, Koji had never moved faster in his life. Within two minutes, he had the film reel loaded and ready to capture images of this finding. Adjusting the camera lens to see the telescope's viewfinder, he hurriedly took a series of photographs of the object.
"What's got you so worked up?" asked the returning assistant.
"There!" Koji excitedly replied, pointing at the new light in the sky. "It's a remarkable finding!"
Removing the camera from the telescope's viewfinder, Koji allowed the aide to inspect this discovery. He was equally at a loss of words. It almost seemed as though smaller craft were occasionally going to and from this vessel, towards the moon.
As minutes turned to hours, the staff at the station gradually caught wind of the sighting and each took turns to watch the mysterious craft, with exchanges of smaller ships interacting with it. Koji meanwhile had called for a vessel back to Japan, to reveal his findings to the National Diet.
While they had thought little of it in the midst of the excitement that overtook them, the staff had no idea that the sight of this craft was only the first sign of a merciless conflict to come...
Mt. Fuji, Japan
Not too far under the Earth's crust, a dome lay, undetected. In spite of this, its frigid interior teemed with activity; an alien race set on conquering the Earth. These humanoid-like beings present themselves in full-body cloaks and helmets, with the helmets obscuring most of their faces. Of course, the gear wasn't just for show, as the lingering effects of Strontium-90 left their bodies covered in keloid scars, rendering them hideously disfigured.
In the dome's command center, one particular being stood out from the rest: the helmet he wore donned a silver tone where many others had either blue, yellow, or even a few red. This was their distinct leader, and for hours he had pondered on how to respond to a peculiar request in the midst of finalizing plans to launch his race's war on the planet. It seemed as though someone was trying to reach out to them, to work in conjuncture? It frustrated him to say the least, as another faction in this assault would surely complicate matters.
"I've decided," the leader spoke. "After our first phase of dominion is complete, tell the Space Station to inquire to this party that we would like to know what is on the table if they wish to create this proposed coalition,"
"As you wish, sir" a yellow-suited soldier responded.
Gigan hated space travel. Not because it was tiring, but because it was just boring. Why had his masters dropped him off so far away from this stupid planet? Why hadn't they accompanied him there? Why was he suddenly being sent out alone? Why was this planet so difficult for them that they would send him out first by himself? Was it really that much of a difficulty?
The cyborg recalled the sluggish brute that he had been gifted back on the ship. It was a pathetic excuse for a fighter. Granted, he never turned down easy prey, but he wondered why his masters were so concerned with this planet, if that puny reptile was the best they had to offer? Was it because there were many of them? Perhaps. But he remembered his new primary assignment: find the strongest of these monsters, and kill it.
Well, he saw no reason they had to send him out to take care of that. If that brute was the standard for this planet's monsters, he didn't think he was required to take care of such a monster. Stronger or not, it was still probably nothing more than another dim-witted reptile. His masters could have taken care of something like that easily.
Gigan suddenly stopped short. He realized that he was actually very close to his destination. He could see the planet some distance away. He saw it as a small speck in the distance. It looked blue, for the most part. Although it was covered in patches of green throughout. It looked quite beautiful. Most of the other planets of this solar system looked very mundane and bleak. This planet, and the planet next to it, stood out. The neighboring planet was a bright shade of crimson, maybe some orange. It greatly contrasted the planet his masters had targeted in its dark appearance. However, he could not afford to be distracted, and so he carried on.
As he approached the great blue sphere, his masters' main objective, he once again stopped short. He thought he saw something small circling around the giant ball of rock. But it did not seem to resemble a moon, or anything natural, for that matter. It looked artificial. The cyborg eyed the strange orbiting object with intrigue. He had thought that the beings inhabiting this gorgeous rock were not capable of space travel yet, as his masters had informed him. Perhaps their information had been mistaken. He merely shrugged, and continued onward to the object of his mission, passing the hidden space station that was secretly orbiting Earth, unbeknownst to the population below...
Ruins of Osaka...
Without warning, a wave of artillery fire slammed into Walterrus's back with the force of a million freight trains, exploding against his hide and covering the surrounding area in clouds of smoke. A squadron of fighter jets soon swooped in from the skies like metal angels of death and attacked the monster from the front, using armor piercing missiles to pound his chest and neck area before jetting off to prepare for another attack. Meanwhile, attack helicopters moved in to pepper Walterrus's face and eyes with mini guns and standard missiles to at the very least annoy the creature. As a fleet of tanks stampeded in from the rear, continuously firing off enormous amounts of ordinance, ground troops also moved in with RPGs and assault rifles to assist their brothers in attacking their overwhelming target.
Inside one of the attack helicopters was a balding Japanese man leering at the draconic beast. This was Sergeant Ken Huxtible, the commanding officer of this particular assault. He was squeezed in next to 2 other soldiers sans the pilot, both of which were manning mounted LMGs and peppering Walterrus below.
"Don't let up for a second, men! Show this bastard the damn door out of this damn city!" Huxtible yelled.
"Sir, the creature seems to be in a vulnerable position, almost as if it's tired!" One soldier pointed out.
"I don't care it's having goddamn heart contusions, soldier!" Huxtible spat and smacked the young man upside his head, "KEEP FIRING!"
The soldier rubbed the pained side of his head and quickly obliged with an unenthusiastic, "Yes sir!", and kept his finger planted firmly on the trigger.
As the choppers, tanks and ground troops kept the pressure on, the team of jets finally flew back in for another attack, this time launching their ordinance straight into Walterrus's face.
The force of the attack was just enough to make Walterrus lean further forward, before he raised up to his full height. He hadn't expected to be assaulted like this, and turned to look for his assailant. To his shock, it was a bunch of small metal objects that were pummeling him with artillery fire, and there were others that dropped their ordinance on him. Except for the armor piercing rounds messing up his already charred fur, the artillery was having little to no effect on him. Granted, the shots to his eyes were VERY irritating, like smoke to a human's eyes, but otherwise had little effect except for him to raise his hands up to block some of the shots so that he could see clearly. Then he noticed it, these machines were being piloted by humans, which answered quite a few questions he'd had. Indeed, these small beings had become quite arrogant as to think they could do any actual harm to a creature like him.
As angry as he was, he refused to retaliate, instead just grunting in pure perplexity at this attack that he viewed as unwarranted. Or was it? He then remembered that something else powerful had destroyed this place, and that might have been the reason for them feeling provoked when had approached. He roared again, causing some of the humans to panic as they thought it was Godzilla's roar, and to fire even more wildly on him. The jets came around, and fired their weapons at his head as he roared, and caused him to quickly close his mouth. The effect was to him, almost like eating too many nacho chips at once is to us. Not really harmful, but it hurt quite a bit. He decided it would be wise just to keep his mouth shut for the time being. His own investigation was almost complete anyways, but he still needed to calm down before leaving, and this attack was not doing him any favors. But he decided to simply wait it out, either they would tire of this, or he'd simply get used to this enough to allow himself to finish calming down.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Draborgman was at the edge of the fray right now, but stopped and floated in mid-air just outside of the combat zone. "URGH!" He grunted in frustration, "Too late, I can't engage this thing while they're here. Have to wait until a big enough break happens so I can get in and take care of this beast." He then turned and noticed another creature was rising up out of the bay. "Oh now that thing shows up? Typical..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Byakkan had come up out of the water, and was slowly making her way inland, going on all fours and keeping her body low to the ground. Once she heard the artillery unleashing Hell, she had moved quickly again and made landfall. As she approached, she saw the dragon, and how he was being assaulted. Just like Walterrus, she had seen that humans were piloting these machines, and not only that, she sensed it, and sensed their fear and hatred directed at the dragon. She wondered why they would be so vicious to that monster, unless... Was he responsible for this mess? If so, she'd make sure he would pay, however; she had to wait for a time, and tucked herself behind some ruined buildings, waiting for the right opportunity to either reveal herself and get answers, or strike him down.
Hashimoto hadn't paid any attention the injuries sustained in the blast at the JSDF headquarters, and as such, he drew back in a slight hint of pain as those by his side tended to them, wiping away blood and bandaging the wounds. As he rode in a miniature motorcade en route to the National Diet building just blocks away, he knew that Eisaku Satō was likely preparing a press conference to address the events that had transpired in the last 16 hours, and Sho would have to be right there with him. The situation was overwhelming at the very least. Dozens of reports of monsters all across the country, and now a terrorist attack on the JSDF headquarters.. Why was this happening now? As the cluster of vehicles approached the government center, Hashimoto could only brace for the worst...
Kuronuma watched from a large view screen of Yokohama burning, as Godzilla unleashed his wrath upon the city. He paid close attention to Godzilla incinerating crowds of fleeing humans, reveling in their destruction: It was like watching prey flee from a predator. In truth however, this was merely a recording that was being played back. Kuronuma rubbed his chin and nodded in approval before turning to two scientists, both dressed in silver lab coats and slightly modified helmets possessing adjustable lenses instead of a black visor.
"MechaGodzilla preformed very well, I am very pleased with our trial run"
Kuronuma said smiling. He flipped a switch on the view screen that caused it to changed to a different image. The new image was dark and gloomy, and floating debris made it difficult to see. Small fish swam past the view screen before suddenly swimming away as if frightened. In truth, this was directly showing MechaGodzilla's perspective from it's current location: deep in the ocean off the coast of Japan. The disguised robot had entered a sort of "stand-by" mode, standing still on the ocean floor while awaiting new orders. Kuronuma deliberately left most of Yokohama intact as MechaGodzilla, or rather "Godzilla" as far as the humans knew, was being tested to see how convincing the disguise was to the humans as well as the power of MechaGodzilla's "covert" weapons.
While the tests where satisfactory, the real test would be against another monster or even Godzilla himself. Kurouma additionally hoped to draw out the Goten with repeated attacks on the coastline so it may join it's predecessor in the scrap heap, thereby removing it from the equation. One of Kuronuma's henchmen approached from behind and saluted his commander before speaking.
"Sir, we have successfully decrypted the signal from this new party. We are fairly certain it could be another spacefaring race."
The henchmen finished. Kuronuma chuckled as he turned around and began to pace in front of the view screen.
"How interesting! It appears we are not the only ones with their eyes on Earth! Open communications with them. Let us assess how useful they may be to our plans, and if not, mark them for eradication."
Kuronuma ordered as the henchman saluted and went off to inform the nessescary parties to go ahead with establishing contac. On another part of the island, several Simians disguised as radio technicians began installing a strange silver device on a nearby radio tower. The device was spherical in shape, with three antenna-like struts ending in smaller spheres positioned on top. The device had four lights along it's equator; two red and two green. The device was supported by a tripod-like mount that held it upright. The the men connected various cables between the device and the radio tower to allow the device to broadcast a message from base without giving away the base's location.
Once the final cable was securely connected, the device was activated. The lights along the equator steadily blinked green and the upper half of the sphere began to rotate.
"Commander, you are clear to broadcast"
One of the men spoke through a cylindrical device.
Kuronuma grabbed a handheld speaker connected to a terminal via a black coiled cord. He pressed and held the button on the right of the speaker with his thumb and cleared his throat.
"This is Commander Kuronuma of the Black Hole Planet 3 Earth invasion force. We have detected your transmissions and are aware of your presence here. Identify yourselves"
Kuronuma spoke loudly and clearly into the speaker and awaited a response.
“God dammit, our attack doesn’t seem to be effective; the big bastard hasn’t budged an inch!” Huxtible swore. Quickly, he thought of another tactic and reached towards the front of the attack chopper, and grabbed ahold of the onboard microphone. “Quick, all JSDF units, change of plans! Aim for its eyes, nose and its ugly goddamn face!”
One of the young soldiers manning the LMGs turned around with a look of surprise on his face. “But sir, won’t that just make it angry? I didn’t sign up to be monster chow!” He argued.
Huxtible reaches forward, grabbed a handful of his collar and placed his face within a few inches of the gunner’s. “You listen to me, soldier! You signed up for whatever bullshit the JSDF has to deal with, whether ya like or not! And for now, said bullshit is a giant monster hell bent on turning what’s left of Osaka into its own goddamn playground!” Huxtible roared. “This isn’t a damn movie or some game you kids play on this new, spangled interweb fiasco going on; this is real goddamn life, soldier! So, either shape up or get off my helicopter! Clear?!”
The soldier looked on in confused terror, but managed to stammer out, “BBB-But sir... We’re, we’re in the air?”
Huxtible narrowed his dark brown eyes and sneered, “Exactly.”
The young man gulped, “Yes sir”, he squeaked and immediately got back on his gun.
As soon as Huxtible gave the word, all available units fired all they had at Walterrus’s exposed visage. Artillery, bombs, missiles and bullets pounded the patient creature’s nose, eyes, ears and mouth with unrelenting precision and aggression.
After enduring the assault, it stopped for a time, and Walterrus looked around, watching the humans as they made their next move. He was still bewildered by their act of aggression, and was wondering what he could do to make them stop. It was then that they switched to firing at his face with everything they had...
Walterrus responded by closing his eyes to stop the stinging sensation from the weapons, and waited for it to end. He was far from pleased from the assault though, and he was getting more irritated, despite his tremendous will power keeping him from retaliating. Just how long would these humans keep this up? Didn't they know when to stop when their weapons had little effect? At any rate, he'd have to simply wait, because even if he wanted to leave, he couldn't while they were distracting him. He wondered if he could get used to the sensation, enough to simply shrug off attacks directed at his more sensitive eyes?
Somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean,1954
Deep below the Atlantic Ocean, a series of vast, extravagant ruins dot the ocean floor in a roughly colosseum shape. The currents and seawater have clearly taken their toll on this place, as the stone walls where heavily eroded and various algae and seaweed covered it's surface. The walls where gilded with some strange, crystalline metal that miraculously remained untouched by the seawater. In the center of this colosseum arrangement where dozens, possibly hundreds of roughly oval-shaped colossal mounds with symmetrical, overlapping plates running vertically down the length of the ovals. Each of these mounds where approximately 80 meters long from beginning to end. These too where now covered in algae, starfish and other organisms. That was not all however, as at the front of each oval a gigantic skull sat on the sea floor. The skull was reptilian in shape, sporting rows of sharp teeth and two large tusks on the sides of the lower jaw.
The rest of the skeletal remains including arms, legs and tails, lay strewn about the proximity of each oval, having been moved around by the currents and shifting sea floor but remained roughly in the same approximate location where they would have been in life. If one where to take all of this in, it would seem like these ruins where made as a sort of memorial for these fallen creatures, one could even call it a graveyard of sorts. It was unclear if these monsters fell in battle and where laid to rest or simply came here to die once they reached the end of their lives. Either way, the sheer number of these creatures indicated that these titans may have walked the earth at some point in their hundreds, revered by whatever civilization built these ruins.
Amidst this somber and depressing landscape, one particular oval remained out-of-place. It's exterior was not bleached white like the other dead husks, nor where any skeletal remains visible around it. Scaly, leathery flesh lined the sides of the oval, resembling a turtle with it's head and limbs tucked inside it's shell. Indeed, even the corpses that dotted the sea floor resembled gargantuan turtles, however this one appeared to be alive. This single behemoth, surrounded by the bones of it's fallen brothers and sisters, lay dormant: the sole survivor of a dead race of giants. However on this day, the sleeping giant would sleep no longer, as a great cataclysm happening on the other side of the world would require it to awaken and defend it's creators once more. A flurry of bubbles would rage from underneath the huge carapace of the creature as it rose off the sea floor, kicking up silt and frightening the sealife that resided upon it.
The enormous carapace would then begin to levitate gracefully through the water under it's own power, like a submersible. It would now leave the company of it's deceased ancestors to fulfill it's purpose: the defense of Earth and it's people from the scourge of hell-beasts that plagued it. However in the days that it took to arrive at it's destination, the cataclysm had already passed. Humanity had defeated the great devil known as Godzilla, but the beast had inflicted a horrific blow to the nation of Japan. Thousands dead and a city laid in ruins, all because of one beast that was allowed to run amok for far too long. The massive entity arrived a mere day after Godzilla was killed, and a day too late at that. Deep within the beasts' semi-dormant body, it's consciousness stirred with feelings of guilt and responsibility. Had it arrived just a day or so sooner, it could have vanquished Godzilla and spared the humans the terrible tragedy that it would inflict upon them.
The behemoth vowed to never allow these monsters to inflict such a toll again, and so it slowly floated to the sea floor once again. The titan would remain dormant until one of these beasts dared to attack humanity again.
Pacific Ocean, present day
The uprising of monstrosities had not gone unnoticed by the slumbering giant. Remembering it's pledge, the mighty beast began to stir once more. It's enormous carapace lifted off from the sea floor and made a beeline directly for the approximate location of the city of Osaka at full speed. As it traveled, the rest of it's body began to awaken from hibernation; for the first time in thousands of years, the beast's head emerged from within it's shell. Bubbles escaped it's tusked maw as it took it's first breath in a very long time, it's verdant eyes burned with hatred for the enemies of mankind. The beast continued on it's path towards Osaka, and would arrive within the hour...
North Coast of Brunei
Anguirus growled in confusion and dismay as he stared out at the sea, not least of all because the sea shouldn't have been here. His herd had once migrated through this area, and the land had stretched on for endless miles. But not now. Even that had changed while he was asleep.
The plants were different, the animals were different, the land and waters themselves had been strangely altered. He looked up at the night sky, but even the vast field of stars held no comfort for him. Most looked the same, and yet... he bared his fangs in instinctive defensiveness. Some of those distant lights were not as distant as they should have been. They flashed unnaturally, and moved, quickly making their way in straight lines across the blackness. And he could hear them, impossibly, a weird, rumbling drone that dragged on incessently. And one of them, not far from the Moon, fainter than the others but with a green tinge... he didn't like that one at all. A feeling of cold menace radiated from it, and his spiked tail began to swing defensively back and forth as he watched it.
After a time, he pulled his gaze away from the evil dot, and brought his attention back to Earth. He had trekked across a good portion of this jungle land and picked up no trace at all of his herd or anything familiar. And the wind blowing in from the sea held no hint of a scent he knew, but... there were scents on it, all right. Some were foul, smoky, as if they'd come from some polluted fire. Others were definitely animal, and not animals he knew, but... there was something about them that drew his curiosity. They smelled as unnatural and wrong as everything else in this freakish world, but in a way that was somehow... familiar? He didn't understand it, but he felt drawn to them all the same.
His mind made up, the spiny saurian started forward, splashing out into the shallows of the South China Sea and making his way Northeast...
Hashimoto's motorcade had arrived at the Diet Building, surrounded by a sizable crowd of the press and civilians already aware of the rapidly-growing chaos across the nation. As he exited the vehicle, Hashimoto could feel the confusion and anxiety in the air from the many civilians, all of them looking up to him as one of the few that may hold the answers, or at least give a sense of comfort by speaking of what course of action the JSDF will be taking. All of these events were happening so quickly, no one was really sure of what to expect. Proceeding up the steps to the building, he wasn't sure what to say. A podium was set up, lined with many microphones accompanied by several cameras for the eyes and ears of the nation. The situation was very overwhelming, and there was only so much the JSDF can do.
Inside, the general encountered Eisaku Satō himself, who was holding a rather think stack of papers for the impromptu speech he was set to give over the impending crisis. When Satō noticed the general, he seemed to show some sort of relief. After giving each other a bow of respect, the prime minister spoke to the general, "I'm glad you showed up. This whole situation is just a mess; I'm not even sure how to address it.."
"You and me both," Hashimoto responded. "I currently have a regiment of standard vehicles attacking a creature in Osaka at this time. I have not since heard any updates on the status of the situation, however."
"That's something, at least. But it appears that the extent of this crisis is far greater than any of us imagined. It has been brought to my attention through the research department that a discovery of extraterrestrial origin has also been made. I didn't believe it at first, but there is evidence to support the claims made here, so I'm going to take a gamble, and ask the United Nations if they may assist us in our defense, thereby rationalizing our secret weapons development," the prime minister spoke.
Looking at a clock with a hint of uncertainty, the large arm struck 2; and it was time for the men to take to the stand outside, and address the nation on the latest happenings, if only to provide a sense of comfort at the very least.
Satō was the first to speak as a part of this address. Much of the address was the typical political lingo, with some bits of steady and heartfelt points, particularly for his closure: "This is a dire crisis that Japan faces, and with how rapidly the situation for the nation has changed from a sense of serenity to total uncertainty for our future should be a message to the many other nations on this world. It may be us today, an aggressor of the great war only 20 years ago, but tomorrow, it could be you. With that, I ask all of those nations at the UN and abroad to take that thought, and then consider. Why run the risk of falling victim to the same fate as this nation, when they could be stopped here? All we ask is that our armament capabilities be expanded upon, as well as collaboration between all military powers occur to develop technological capabilities that allow us to effectively contend with these threats. It isn't just about Japan, but the world at this point." Bowing before returning to his seat, the crowd responded with roars of cheering and applause.
The next to take the stand was Sho Hashimoto himself. While his address was largely similar to the one delivered prior, it was much shorter, and very to the point: "At this time, there is an engagement occurring in Osaka. Our forces may fight valiantly and with honor, but if they cannot down just one foe with what limited firepower and technological prowess at their disposal, then how can we be expected to combat the many other threats as they may appear? As such, I must echo the pleas of Satō here. We need more in our hands if we are to end this crisis swiftly, and effectively, and I ask for the military powers of each and every country to make that consideration if they wish to preserve themselves for another generation," he ended. Met with much of the applause as before, Hashimoto too returned to his seat.
Before long, the figureheads of the nation each had concluded their respective addresses and pleas, and returned to the interior of the Diet Building for further private discussion on the matter...
Re: The Gorilla Whale
A swarm of artillery fire continued to pound Walterrus’s face with merciless brutality, hell fire and thick clouds of smoke enveloping the beast’s entire massive head. The JSDF didn’t let for an instant, until without warning, nearly every single unit halted its assault.
Completely bewildered, Huxtible quickly snatched up a walkie talkie sitting station at the front of his chopper, and held it up to his mouth. “What the Hell just happened?! Why the sudden ceasefire?!” He angrily demanded.
“We’re all out of ammunition, sir!” A male voice replied back.
“Out of- Then reload and keep firing, goddamnit!”
“Negative sir, we have no ammo left! We’re completely dry!” The voice stated.
Huxtible was visibly confused and shocked by this; what did he mean they had no anmo left?! “Well then, get some more! There’s got to be extra lying around somewhere!”
There was a long silence over the comms, before the soldier on the other end finally came back with, “We uhh... We don’t have any extra... Sir.”
Huxtible gently rubbed the now pulsating temple on the side of his head and groaned, “Not a single person in this entire fleet has any ammunition left?!”
One of the young soldiers manning the mini gun on the chopper turned around and raised his hand, before reaching into his vest pocket and fishing out a single bullet. “I’ve got a .22 caliber!” He affirmed.
Huxtible glared at the man with a mixture of exasperation and disbelief, before he smacked the tiny bullet out of the soldier’s hand and causing it to fly from the aircraft and towards the Earth. The young man wordlessly turned back around in order to avoid the Sergeant’s cold stare, even though he could still feel it burning into the back of his skull.
“What do we do now, Sergeant?” The voice over the radio asked.
“Nothing we can do, solider...” Huxtible sighed, “All units, fall back! Hopefully we showed that ugly bastard to never set foot on Japanese soil again, or he’ll face the overwhelming might of the goddamn JSDF!”
The young soldier in the helicopter with Huxtible rolled his eyes, “Yeah, you just keep telling yourself that, dick.” He muttered under his breath.
The aging Sergeant glared at him, “You have something to say, soldier?!”
The man’s eyes widened bigger than dinner plates and he gulped nervously, before spinning around and throwing both hands in the air. “Uhhh, no, not at all, sir! I was just saying how that thing will know now to mess with Japan anymore, that’s all! You really showed him what for, Sergeant Huxtible, sir! Hehehehe.” The soldier desperately tried to save face as he sweat bullets.
Huxtible narrowed his eyes, “I thought so.” He growled and turned away. In minutes, every unit that had been deployed had exited from the ruins of Osaka and back towards HQ, leaving Walterrus completely alone and standing right in the middle of it.
If this pounding continued any longer, Walterrus swore he was going to lose his patience, and he would begin firing off warning shots to dissuade further aggression as his spines began to flash in a sort of warning. That was when the fire stopped, and he creaked open his right eye a little bit, then opened both of them fully. It was about time he had thought with a snort of annoyance, now he could properly ignore them, until he saw them withdrawing and retreating. He rolled his eyes and began to turn back to what he was previously up to before the fight with the Gorgosaur and this time waster.
At least, that's what he would have done until he felt himself suddenly get jolted to the side when a white blur of angry fur slammed into him. He skidded, still on his feet, for about a hundred meters, before he finally stopped, and looked to see what else was trying to get in the way of his mission to track down what had caused so much death and destruction. What he saw was a snarling beast that looked like a bipedal, long fanged feline, and she was not happy with him. A roar that amounted to "No mercy to enemies of humans!" was uttered from her as she rushed him again, but got her arms caught up by the equally sized kaiju.
Walterrus grunted that she was mistaken, he was no enemy of humans, despite how humans may have viewed him now. Surprisingly, Byakkan broke the grip on her right arm, and decked the dragon. This had the result of stumbling him for a moment as he unintentionally let go of her other arm, and got a left upper cut to his face, stumbling him further back. She roared that the humans anger, hate and aggressiong towards him said otherwise, and she detected signs of damage he caused. Byakkan was under the impression that Walterrus had done this devastation, and blasted his chest with an ice beam from her mouth, further stumbling him back.
Did she really believe that he was responsible for this? Walterrus had to admit, he had never seen this creature before, and might have missed her arrival in the intervening years of hibernation and wake periods. But at the moment, he had to show her he wasn't going to go down that easily, and quench her anger so as to reason with her, without making himself angrier at the same time. As she lunged at him again, he turned around and swatted her with his tail, knocking her into some ruined buildings, and causing them to collapse. He then began to approach her, before he wound up being sent through the air by a force not of his own, and crashing into another group of ruined buildings!
Draborgman had finally entered the fray, having wasted a lot of precious time waiting for the JSDF to stop their assault. At least with them fleeing, he had a chance now to deal with Walterrus, even while the dragon was battling Byakkan. He grew to full kaiju fighting size, with four minutes on the clock, and delivered a kick right into Walterrus' skull on the right side of his head. It seemed like the tiger monster had been disposed of, so he'd work on the current "threat" of the dragon, not giving much heed to what the monsters were saying to each other. He landed, and prepared a shot of his "Hand Cannon" technique, holding up his left hand, placing his right hand on his left elbow, and gathered energy into a sphere in his left hand.
Meanwhile, Walterrus was shaking off the shock from being sent through the air like that, and plowing through the ruined buildings. As he got up, he wondered what was with his head that everyone seemed to have a fascination of attacking it? He noticed the upside down Atragon was near him, meaning he was back where he was when Gorgo appeared. And while it shouldn't have surprised him, he saw that some humans were still there, working on hastily evacuating. As he was still on his hands, he wasn't fully upright yet, but looked to see what had attacked him. He was bewildered to see it had been a red, silver and blue... whatever kind of humanoid was before him. How could something so slender have sent him flying? But that wasn't the worst of it, he saw the creature was charging up an attack, and was almost ready to deliver it. From what he could sense, if it missed him, it would do some damage to the area, and possibly endanger the humans!
Draborgman couldn't see the downed Atragon from his position, and he wasn't in communication with his human allies either. But what he did see, was a monster that needed to be defeated. "Hand Cannon!" He shouted in clear Japanese, though to any humans it would sound like he had breathed in sulfurhexafloride on steroids due to how large he was. He thrusted his left hand out, and fired the ball of energy at Walterrus, forcing the beast to stand up, and take a shot directly in his chest to protect the humans from being indirectly harmed. The result was an explosion that pushed him back a dozen meters, though not enough to destroy him, it did destroy the burned fur on his chest, exposing red scales underneath.
Cole didn't wait to give Walterrus a chance to recover though, and used his glare buster on him. Placing his index and middle fingers of his right hand over his eyes, he pulled it away, and unleashed a hellish beam of energy right into the beast's chest, knocking him down, and sending a piece of debris that was large enough to crush a tank into the air. Despite being knocked to his back, Walterrus was still conscious, and saw the rubble in the air, and heading right towards one of the small groups of humans near the Atragon. Without a second thought, Walterrus blasted the piece with his beam, not with enough force to destroy it, but merely send it flying hardmlessly into a ruined building. Whatever this winged giant wanted, it clearly didn't seem to care what was going to get hurt. And so Walterrus lurched himself to his feet, and leaped right at Draborgman, who had seen Walterrus' act with confusion before he found himself suddenly pinned to the ground,a nd getting pounded with blow after blow to his face from the angry dragon's fists.
As this all happened, Byakkan groggily got out of the pile that had collapsed around her, and saw what was going on. She moved to get into a position to pounce on either of the two kaiju, when she saw that Walterrus had shot at a piece of rubble that had gone air-borne. She was puzzled as to why he would go out of his way to do that when he had an enemy ahead of him. She then looked, and saw that humans had been in the spot where the piece would have fallen were it not for his intervention. Could she have made an error in judgement here?
"Breath Blast!" Was what was heard as Walterrus was knocked off of Draborgman, his face smoldering as he was sent rolled to the side. Byakkan then saw Draborgman getting up, and pull out both of his blades from his wings. It seemed clear to her, that he was going to end Walterrus then and there. She roared at him, and drew his attention towards her, which she followed up with by leaping to the side, away from the Atragon and the remaining evacuating personel. Draborgman then stuck an index finger out from his right hand, and fired a finger gun at her right leg, downing her for a moment as she crumpled and rolled from the strike. Not seriously hurt, but the move was only meant to disable or distract, not kill unless specifically aimed at a vital spot on a weakened enough opponent.
With his new adversary momentarily out of the picture again, he returned his focus to Walterrus, only to see that the dragon had picked up a boulder and tossed it right at him. Draborgman then struck the boulder with his right fist, sword still in hand, and sent the boulder back at him. Walterrus then returned the serve with a strike from his right hand. This back and forth lasted several seconds before it inadvertendly got sent sailing for the Atragon AGAIN. By this time, Draborgman had noticed the ship, and instinctively crossed his arms together to fire off a cross beam at the boulder, at the same time assisted by Walterrus who had managed to react fast enough to fire his beam at the boulder.
The combined force of the blast was enough to destroy the boulder, though that had not been their intention. Fortunately, it resulted in the rock being reduced to basically harmless pebbles that otherwise rained harmlessly down at the Atragon. During this Byakkan had recovered enough to see this, and watched it all happen, her head waving back and forth as she watched the "boulder volley ball" and the ensuing strike to stop it from causing anymore harm. Then she saw Walterrus and Draborgman, hopped up on adrenaline, begin to face eachother again. It was time for someone more level headed to step in, and she roared at them in what amounted to the Kaiju speak of "STOP!" To which she was ignored as the two dragons moved towards each other. Rolling her eyes, she modulated her beam into a form of ice known as snow, and breathed it onto both Walterrus and Draborgman, first on the ancient dragon who stopped and looked confused. Draborgman started to laugh at how silly Walterrus was looking before he thrashed from getting spat on with snow. "YEOWCH! That's cold!" Walterrus meanwhile started to laugh as he sat down on his tail a bit, amused by how silly Draborgman looked.
Byakkan then grunted and growled at them, asking if she had their attention. To which the two of them grudgingly acknowledged this. "Yeah, yeah, we hear you, death kitty." Draborgman responded sardonically, "What do you have to say before I destroy you and him as I have so many other monsters that have been destroying worlds? I don't have much time left." To which he was growled at by Walterrus, saying that he should give the "kitty" some time. All the while, the gem on Draborgman's chest was turning color to indicate he was getting low on power. Byakkan then said she had noticed the both of them saving humans from their own actions in two instances, which, while stupid in placing them in danger in the first place, meant they cared about them to some extent, right?
"Wait, twice?" Draborgman asked, "When did we put them in danger the first time?" To which Walterrus roared that after his initial two attacks, a piece of rubble had been sent in their air and towards the humans, which he had blasted away with his plasma breath. "Oh..." Draborgman said in realization, "So that's why you blasted that tank sized piece of rubble..." He then put two and two together. "So, wait, you're not trying to destroy things or compete with Godzilla?" Walterrus nodded, he then grunted that he was investigating this place, trying to find this thing Draborgman had called "Godzilla," which he knew by another name. His investigation was interrupted by a Gorgosaur and the human attack.
Byakkan then asked the obvious, what were they doing then by fighting each other, if they were after the same thing? To which Draborgman replied, "Mistaken identity, trying to find out who is as strong as who and egos blowing things out of proportion. By the way, you both know of Godzilla?" Byakkan nodded, replying that she knew of him through legend told by her human people when she was originally a human herself before being changed when magically combined with a tiger.
"Wild, though sounds familiar..." Draborgman mused, Walterrus growled he knew some actual "Godzillas" from long ago, and that there was a more powerful alpha who slept currently.
"Wait, you mean there's more of those things?" Draborgman asked, and Walterrus nodded, though he got a sense this one was empowered by unnatural means, there used to be many kaiju who roamed the earth before even the Gorgosaur's kind existed. Though all but a few had disappeared, and some remained.
"Man, that's not a comforting thought if they're as vicious as this one that did all of this." Draborgman then indicated the city wide devastation. To which Walterrus clarified that the ones he knew weren't THIS aggro to humans, but merely viewed them as beloved pets. The unnatural means of empowering this one though, must have turned its aggression up to an eleven to do this unprovoked.
"I see..." Draborgman said, "So, what gives with the Gorgosaur?" To which Walterrus replied in a nutshell of what he learned.
"Dinosaurs under the earth looking to conquer the planet?" Draborgman responded, "Man, this is going to sound bonkers to my friends, but seeing as how you acted without hesitation to protect humans, and withheld that obvious fury from them, I guess you must be trustworthy... Though I'll be keeping an eye on you, and you too, kitty." To which Byakkan told him to call her by her name. "Right, Byakkan, and I guess... Well, I don't know what to call you that the humans could pronounce yet. I'll be watching the both of you, see if you really are on the humans side. I've gotta jet before I run out of power and go to a vulnerable state, but if you want to get the JSDF off your backs, I suggest staying low and avoiding populated areas. Maybe even take out some monsters with my help. If you're serious, it'll go a long way to helping with your reputations. You can start by leaving the area via the ocean, and keep watch on a place like, I dunno, Mt. Mihara or something. Just let them see you're not a threat to them, and I won't have to take you out."
The two kaiju nodded and grunted their understanding to him. "Good, I'll be where I'm needed when I'm needed." He then took off into the air, shrinking extremely fast as he did so to conserve power and find where his friends from the KDRC had landed.
Walterrus and Byakkan then began to make their way out of the city, though at their pace, it'd take a little while...
