After a moment, she turned her attention back to the crowd, which had grown even larger.

"Italian precision, aggressive styling, and a howling V12 engine loud enough to wake an entire neighborhood, of which produces 740 horsepower of raw fury. You are now the proud owner of a brand new: Lamborghini Aventador SV. Every single road will be no match for this raging bull's might. Drive responsibly." Blake mouthed out loud to the brochure that the Lamborghini dealership had given him. It was more in-line of a small novel than a simple pamphlet though. 80 pages worth of Lamborghini history, safety guidelines, the proper ways to care for the car, etc.

Blake had already skimmed through half of the monotony as he was cruising down an empty block. He caressed his free hand over every crevice of the super car, feeling all of the various carbon fiber weaving, brushed aluminum, alcantara, and just the level of craftsmanship that went into this ridiculous machine. The engine constantly emitted a low, rumbling, and angry growl as Blake teased it by pressing the accelerator in a bit, before letting off and shifting down to a lower gear.

The dealer that had sold Blake the car, told him specifically to not push it hard for the next few weeks. The car still had to "settle in", he said. Blake scoffed at the notion. The Lamborghini wanted to scream and tear apart whatever roads it met, not be a glorified Prius. Plus, slow wasn't an acceptable word in Blake's vocabulary.

"Let's see what kind of speed you really have, big girl." He mused, and stomped on the gas. In an instant, the Aventador violently bucked and rammed Blake deep into the seat. 60mph came and went in a couple seconds, and the raging SV didn't relent for a moment as it howled down the street. The symphonic noise of the massive engine filled Blake's ears, and bounced off of the nearby buildings. Upon nearing a small line of cars, Blake ducked and weaved the snarling bull through the traffic and sped back towards home.

He quickly focused his attention on the mass crowd of people forming at City Hall, before refocusing on keeping the Aventador under control. With a loud mechanical howl, the super car dashed by City Hall and left several violent pops and crackles in its wake, from the backfiring exhaust. Now only a few blocks away from his loft, Blake let off the gas and eased his foot on the brake pedal. The angry machine hissed and cooed as it was relegated back to cruising speeds.

"Not bad." Blake smirked.

The noise of the engine caused Wally, Charles and a couple of Charles' lackies to jump back. As the Aventador made its way away Charles felt the need to shout, "Asshole! Some are walking here!"

Brenda thought of the person last night. No, not the one who had seen her. The one she had killed. Every time she had taken such actions, the events would come to her head and eat away at her conscience. She had killed before, and would probably do it again, but that never made her stop contemplating or the guilt.

Her mind then set to what the man was going to do. She could hear his tone lf voice. It was one that knew that it had the power to hurt. It took pleasure in using this power in the worst way possible. If she was anyone else, anyone without a meta human ability, there was no telling how that scenario would have played out. It would have been something of nightmares.

She did what she could to put an end to the evil, and that was all she ever did.

The fact that Markus and Carter continued moving despite feeling like they were being watched either meant they were stupid or brave. Or bravely stupid if you were like Carter.

"So, we going to see that celebrity or what?" Carter said.

"What?" Markus asked.

[Vatarian]

((bump.))

[Godzilla The King]

"We're going to that celebrity...and he's probably where all that activity is." Carter said as he pointed to a crowd of people.

"I don't think that's whats going on..." Markus muttered.

"Even if it's not maybe you'll meet some new people!" Carter said with a smile as he moved towards the crowd, dragging Markus along.

"I guess I am intruding at the right time," Brenda said meekly, interrupting Carter's dragging of Markus. She was far less shy than what she appeared, but that was all part of keeping her true identity under lock and key. "Weren't you two at my work earlier today?"

[Godzilla The King]

"Chinese place? If so, then yeah." Carter said casually. "Everyone goes there, like it's the center of town or somethin'!"

"Well, it is a restaurant. People need to eat." Markus said dully.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm just glad that something's goin' on for once, y'know." Carter said turning to Brenda.

Brenda nodded, "I have to wonder if word of mouth has gotten out. We aren't busy like that too often." She looked to the crowd. "I'd stay away from there. Once got pick pocketed at the mall in crowds like that."

[Godzilla The King]

"I've gotten into fights with crowds before." Carter laughed. "Fun times."

Brenda nodded, smiling shyly. "You better be careful. People seem so ready to cry vigilante these days. You know what I mean?"

[Godzilla The King]

"Tell me about it..." Carter said rolling his eyes. "Can't do a single good thing without being called a vigilante."

"Is fighting really a good thing?" Markus asked.

"Fighting's not really a good thing," Brenda said. "But I saw someone get saved at the mall earlier. I can't help but wonder what label will be placed on the savior, or if he will be forgotten?"

[Godzilla The King]

"Probably will make a nickname for 'em." Carter said grimly. "Another one to track down."

"For grabbing someone before they could fall," Brenda frowned. "Nothing super about that."

[Godzilla The King]

"We live in a world where good people are frowned upon." Markus said sadly.

"Capes, that's what they're scared of." Carter muttered.

Brenda fidgeted with her hands. "Perhaps we should be more well hidden? We could get mugged with being so obvious. Maybe even kicked in the groin, like that poor soul earlier."

[Godzilla The King]

"Not a bad idea." Carter shruged. "I'd rather not get kicked in the cojones."

"I think a lot of people would agree with that second statement," Brenda said. "Where should we head to?"

[Godzilla The King]

"That...is a very good question." Carter said puzzled.
