Supernatural Times: The Reckoning

[Vatarian]

"Master,"

The blonde witch-knight didn't pander or flatter. He used the term as a secretary might a working title. It was "beg-your-pardon", not "beg-for-your-attention".

"I agree wholeheartedly. But perhaps we might expand the notion? Why only target vampires? The undead..... They are, after a fashion, distant cousins to the Strigoi..... And they are in a time of molting and upheaval, with new species emerging as we speak. We could bend them to our purposes. Properly motivated, they would be excellent tools, even if they are mostly useless as lieutenants... They crave flesh. Strigoi leave behind bloodless flesh when they have sucked the last drop from a meal. We have the materials to control them..."

The pink scar had faded to silvery, 2-d blotches. Scott twirled a lock of hair on one finger that was like a talon.

"And I take it you still wish to refrain from contacting the rest of the Red Court?"

Ernest snarled and calmed himself down. He didn't wanna loose control at this moment.

"Pardon me-"

He slammed his staff into the ground splitting the asphalt.

"If I don't trust you. I mean, who am I to say you can't help us? Ain't even my group." Ernest laughed.

"Yeah guys lets just completely trust the random vampire chick that jumped out of the darkness."

[Godzilla The King]

"We trust a demon, we can trust a vampire." Jaeger said.

"You trust the demon, I'm still not sure. But why the hell not. When she turns evil and tires to kill us or sell us to her Vamp friends like cattle. Don't say I didn't warn ya."

Ernest reached into his bag and took out a silver knife.

"Watch yourself mam." he looked at Glyndara angrily as he put the knife back.

[Godzilla The King]

"I'm not trusting her either, just not distrusting her too." Jaeger said with his arms crossed. "Anyone else gonna chime in."

"Speak for yourself, your half vampire. She said she's a master vampire or something. She could control you and make you try to kill us or something. In anycase, what do you want to help us with?" Ernest said to Glyndara.

[Godzilla The King]

"Survival." Glyndara said simply.

"Very specific, lady." Jaeger said with a smile.

Ernest mumbled underneath his breath.

"Thinkin with his **** instead of his brain I see."

He then turned to the group. The alien creature still on his shoulder. He ripped his staff out the ground and put it back on his back holster. He put his hand on his chest and forced a fake smile.

"Well Glyndara welcome to the team. I suggest we discuss the issue more while we keep moving. We're lucky we ran into a SEEMINGLY nice vampire such as yourself. we don't wanna run into a more dangerous breed or creature. Now do we?"

Ernest stared off into space. He zoned out for a breif minute seeing his parents. He saw the werewolf that bit him coming closer. In real life it would appear he was twitching. In his mind he was about to be eaten. He smiled and began laughing it off. He zoned back in.

"Any of you got water?"

[Godzilla165]

"I do, we shall refrain from contacting the court for as long as possible, and won't exactly need them once we aquire assets of our own."

Marcel pondered Scott's suggestion carefully in the back of his mind, and knew that the witch-knight was onto something. The undead were in prime condition for Marcel to meld and bend to his will, and the sheer number of them would make him nigh unstoppable. He simply needed a steady supply of flesh for them to feast on, and everything else would fall into place on its own quite nicely. An unseen smile forms of Marcel's face as he gazes out the window towards the horizon. Tiny remnants of sunlight were struggling to claw their way into the sky, and the night was slowly beginning to fade away. It would only take a few more hours for daybreak to arrive, but that no longer mattered, Marcel now had an exceptional plan in his possession; now simply needing to by his time until the darkness returned.

"The undead will make for exceptional puppets to our cause indeed lieutenant, and I am entrusting you to take the necessary steps in bringing them to me. I shall travel to the city once it is time for me to feed, and perhaps even persuade more to join us." Marcel calmly replies and makes his way out into the courtyard. A lone pigeon is seen flying several yards out over the harbor, and is instantly blown into a dozen bloody chunks of flesh and membranes, as Marcel casually takes a potshot at the unfortunate bird. This grants a small chuckle to resonate from the vampire, and he places a quick and proud peck onto the barrel of the enhanced revolver.

"But as you said Scott, they will be rather useless as competent lieutenants, we will have the numbers but not the tactical prowess and overall intelligence, aside from you and myself of course. We have one piece of the puzzle figured out, now we merely just need an ace in the hole."

Ermest put his hand up.

"Nevermind I got it."
He remembered the old warm gallon of water he had in his pack. There was now only about a few cups left. He took a sip. It was nasty but refreshing.

Jaeger got his first look at the alien up close and he was taken aback by it, so was Glyndara as she grimaced as she looked at it.

"Oh boy..." Jaeger said. "Never seen that before."

"Can't say I have either..." Glyndara muttered.

"What are you looking at?"

Ernest asked confused.

[Vatarian]

Scott blinked.

"Of course, my Lord,"

The fair-haired Knight bows shallowly.

"Hey, Adams Family!"

A heavily bundled figure asserts from behind the little group. She's distinctively female, and all but the lips and nose, which are blueish in the cold, are covered wrappings and clothing. The figure holds the hand of a slightly shorter individual, who sways about and periodically attempts to pull away. Likewise bundled up.

"My god, you people are oblivious. You wander right into a Zombie rave and..."

Her head swivels to Vuul.

"Jesus....

Then to the thing Ernest is carrying on his back.

Fucking....

And to Blaze.

Christ.

The shorter girl jerks at the talkers hand again, and she sighs and pulls her back into line.

"Chill, Maddie. Anyway. I've been following you for the past couple blocks, since just after you walked into the deadhead party, enjoying the drama..... Listening... Wondering when you'd notice me... In short, I want to join you. And I think you're gonna say yes. You let Draculara there into your group, afterall. My sister and I are headed north."

She makes Maddie wave.

"We need numbers and guns for defense, which you have. And you need someone who actually knows how to watch the environment and remind you that sometimes subtlety is a valuable asset. I've got that down. We won't hog your assets.... We don't drink blood or catch on fire in a tanning-salon.... Or..."

She makes a snuffling noise and pulls her scarf off her chin, exposing the rest of her very pale lower face.

"Turn into... A wolf?"

She eyes Ernest through heavy goggles and messy black hair.

[Godzilla The King]

"Are we trying to create a small village here?" Jaeger muttered before turning to the stranger. "Well, we believe in democracy...so maybe."

"Draculara? My name is Glyndara!" Glyndara said with her arms crossed.

"Let's not start anything here..."

Ernest threw the alien off his back. He then pushed the others aside and punches Glynsdara in the face. Then he opened his eyes. That was all a day dream. But the absolutely pissed mood he was in was no dream.

Ernest looked angrily at the newly arrived girl.

"Oh my god. OH MY GOD. OH MY ACTUAL FUCKING GOD. WHERE ARE THESE PEOPLE COMING FROM?! CAN WE START WALKING BEFORE THE ENTIRE REMAINING POPULATION OF EARTH SHOWS UP?"

[Vatarian]

"You see what I mean?"

She gesticulated with her free hand.

"This one here's screaming. Having a literal tantrum in the middle of a city that has literally millions of things that would happily eat him, me, and probably everyone but the bird and the...."

She directs her gaze to Vuul.

"Smoke.... Man. Point being, you need a pragmatist. And pragmatist I am."

She points a finger at Ernest.

"I can keep the dog from barking."

[Godzilla The King]

"Yeah, I was thinking of gettin' him a muzzle too." Jaeger said glancing over to Ernest.

Glyndara crossed her arms as she watched what was going on, commoners arguing or discussing things, it was the same to her. All it amounted to was pointless drivel in her eyes but she did listen in just in case any vital information came.

"You may have a point, stranger." Jaeger nodded.

Ernest was getting severely aggrevated. He smiled and began laughing again in a calm and soothing voice he spoke.

"We've been standing in this spot for a while. So...um, we should probably get goin if that's cool with you. Like the other lady said, lots of things out here that would love to eat us. So if we could start movin before we get eatin. That'd be great."

[Vatarian]

"Right,"

The girl jogs over, dragging her counterpart with her. The slighter girl stumbles slightly and honestly doesn't seem to be too thrilled about it. She's wearing even more layers than the talkative one, and only eyes of indeterminate color framed by huge, frost-encrusted lashes are visible, red-brown bangs above them. She looks at Ernest long and hard, silent behind the scarf, eyes little flecks of shininess with dark, like heavy eyeshadow, above and below.

"I'm Clare. And this is Maddie, my sister."

The talkative one, Clare, says.

"Sometimes she stares, and she doesn't really talk, because severe autism doesn't exactly lend itself to social grace. It.... Was what got us kicked out of the group we were traveling with. They said that..... She was too much trouble. That she acts too much like a zombie herself. One of the guys started hassling her.... She bit his arm when he tried to touch her. They used it as an excuse. Told me I could either let her go or go with her."

Clare's goggles flash as she turns.

"I chose to stay with my sis."
