I know what '95 had planned for the ending, but I'm not sure if he'd be all for me putting it out there without him knowing/his consent.

Fuck it. I'll go off as much as I can recall, considering the PM was deleted with my account...2x.

Basically us old folk were to get our asses kicked, and the young ones take some of our places in the fight against Biollante, Legion, and Destoroyah. While we fight them, we release MI's monsters to lure and fight Godzilla. Cooper planned on luring Godzilla with the Super X to stop the meltdown by using a Mu-tech weapon we recovered called Dimension Tide. Cooper sacrifices himself to trap Godzilla in the black hole after a long talk to myself and his daughters, a funeral was likely to be held. After that, we retire and our kids take over from where we left off.

Fin. Again, best to my memory.

Was guessing his character would die at the end.

Seems like it would have been decent. Really sucks that we didn't get to actually play it. I didnt even get my fight with Leigon. Fucking Hagar.

I still like to think if we were to continue from SM and WoM and make it a trilogy, the third would be focused on our kids as they take over the facilities from where we left off. But I doubt it.

Speaking of kids, I'm surprised no one's mentioned how I suddenly had a family in the final arc.

Well, seeing as how everyone got busy popping out youngsters over the years before the Final Arc, it only made sense.

It's like, I disappeared for two of the arcs (Mu and Gamera) due to real life/issues and
R E V E N G E O F T H E S O N O F T U R T L E S P E E D,
literally anything could've happened to me, because there's no alibi for my character during those two arcs.

So yeah, Doc Hudson got married shortly after the Mu arc, and ended up having three boys: Owen, Kyle, and Max.

Owen works at a zoo/theme park, Kyle's in the military, and Max is a cop. (And yes, these are all references. Would anyone like to guess what they are?)

Owen=Jurassic World (C'mon, that was too obvious)
Kyle and Max...idk.

Kyle= Kyle Reese, The Terminator
Max= Max Rockatansky, Mad Max franchise

It would've been cool if there was a third installment, how interesting would it be to be in world without Godzilla, but still has dangerous kaiju. The world would learn not to rely on Godzilla so much. Would Godzilla be remembered as a savior, a menace or just an animal protecting his territory? Some fun stuff we could go into. Our era of Jaegers being seen as the Golden Age of Humanity. The effects of the events, the dectractors, the supporters...damn it pisses me off.
What would the name be anyways?

If my idea didn't get rejected, it could've been Age of Monsters, for all I know.

I was thinking perhaps Remembering Monsters to return to the title structure of Surviving and to note that the era that the original team was active in is fondly remembered as a Golden Age.

I was thinking Mad Max, but I'd never seen the movies *dodges bricks* so I wasn't sure. As for Kyle, I wanted to say South Park for some reason.

I'm thinking timeline-wise it could be after we're all retired but simply act as advisors to the New Crew. So maybe 10 years after the Final Arc?

Maybe, that'd put the kids at the right age.

If there was a third installment, I'd prefer to see less of the Jaegers or any other giant mechs and go back to the style of Surviving Monsters where you couldn't fight back and the main focus was to survive. Also some original kaiju would be nice.

Jaegers and ways to fight back could be there..it's just that we don't get them right away. We survive by wits, skill and luck.

Eh, I like being able to fight the monsters.
Sitting aside doesn't fit me very well.

The difference would be that we'd be trained proffessionals in an era where kaiju are known. We'd be fighting, evacuating cities. Just not punching them in the face until we are able to reach the Shatterdome.
