Match 45: Biollante (Rose Form) vs. Jet Jaguar
Time to crown the King (or Queen!) of the Weaklings!

Biollante (rose form)
Image
Biollante is scaled to 50 meters and 60,000 tons. While technically immortal and able to dissolve into glowing pollen, being forced to do so is considered a defeat. Biollante is not considered to have access to water; roots are planted in the ground, and Biollante is stationary.

vs.

Jet Jaguar
Image
Jet Jaguar is 50 meters tall and weighs 25,000 tons. Jet Jaguar has full access to size-changing at will.


Arena: Grounds of Osaka castle!
Notes: Effectiveness of acid and vine puncturing on Jet Jaguar materials is up to the individual voter, but the ring-of-fire scene is not considered a valid benchmark for determination (as we know Godzilla is made of much sterner stuff, but he also treated it like a threat in that scene.)

It’ll be a long fight, but ultimately I see Biollante taking it. Jet Jaguar will hold out for a while, but this is a war of attrition. Jet Jaguar will not be able to beat Biollante before he himself is broken down, as all he really has is melee. I doubt he has the strength to uproot Biollante, or otherwise do anything that could take her down before the barrage of vines and acid gets him.

Wait a minute. Quick question for JJ as this does impact my decision. Does he have the nitrogen breath?

Yes, I realize this is kind of late to add, but I was looking over the K.W.C. to formulate my decision and I realized he technically has that power. Its unused in the film, but its listed as a canon ability. So Zarm, thoughts?

I would have to say no; only screen-demonstrated abilities. Where is that power listed from, out of curiosity?

Jet Jaguar would give it his all, no doubt, but the fact of the matter is that metal isn't a big fan of acid. I just don't see Jet being able to take out Biollante before the acid eats away at the grinning robot. Biollante(Rose Form)
