I agree with more of the little seen rouge's gallery like Anguirus, Baragon, or Kamacuras. However, I think a cool way to keep the formula interesting would be to add some of the non-kaiju focused sci-fi films in. Battle in Outer Space remake, some new kaijin movie, Megaloman movie, possibilities are endless.

Thinking on it, I would love to see a Heodrah solo movie. It could be relevant, allows a lot of potential, and could be the least Toho could do for Banno.

don't do what the amazing spiderman 2 and the mummy did with a cinematic universe room
make a good story
personally i want a shin godzilla 2 before that would start but i know that probably won't happen
in terms of monsters i want to see more obscure monsters
not just ghidorah , mothra, rodan, etc.
i think they should be in there but start with more oscure kaiju
kinda like how iron man was a d list super hero before the movie
have like a varan film

I can't speak for The Mummy, since I didn't see it. But The Amazing Spider-Man 2 had a scene where they walked through a room featuring nods to future characters they wished to feature, such as The Vulture and Doctor Octopus. The intention was eventually to have a Sinister Six film.

Yeah it’s a super lazy way to introduce a cinematic universe. Just have a room the characters walk through with a bunch of hints to everything intended to come.

The Mummy had a very similar scene where they walked through the organization’s room and there was a vampire fang, the hand of the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and I believe something else on display.

I think The Conjuring did something similar as well.

*Battra the Black Mothra (I'd like to see him done both as a male counterpart to Mothra and as Mothra's mate gone horribly wrong)

Anguirus is clearly, by nature, in the KOTM film.
Anguirus simply digs underground and pops out shell first too much for the monster to be something else.
Baragon can't make a mountain move like that, he's too small.
